Super cute and quaint! Plenty of stuff for children to do including a park. Staff was friendly. The hard cider was good. My friends said the roast corn was also delicious. The apples we picked were Calvert crisp and sweet.

Great spot for a wide variety of apples and a few hours of fall activities. The entrance fee is reasonable and includes plastic bags and a tractor ride to different spots of the orchard. The staff was friendly. There's a map in the front so I recommend taking a pic of it before you head out. The rows are labeled to identify type. The location we visited offered hard cider, some baked and canned goods, pumpkins, corn, hotdogs, and popcorn. The hard cider was extremely fresh and tasty. I personally did not care for the donuts (was anticipating apple cider donuts, but these were more on the side of old fashioned). We also visited the larger market down the road for some additional treats.

We always have a nice time. There was miscommunication when we got there. There are two orchards and the Oldwick cider mill charges extra for the hayride operation. The young lady at the entrance wasn't as pleasant sarcasm is never becoming. But we enjoyed our time nevertheless. It was a beautiful day on Monday. We never did find the Granny Smith apples. I have been coming here for more than 10yrs before there was a fee to get in and I still love it.

There is no option for no stars here. We come to this place EVERY YEAR. We tried today and the lines were terrible so we could not pick apples today. We decided to go to their store down the road and as usual we spent A LOT of money as this place is not cheap ! We got a “baked daily” apple crisp pie that cost 19$. We got home excited to have a piece and we had to spit it out immediately as it was rotten. Called to let them know and instead of apologizing two female employees argued with me that it was brought in frozen and heated up there today and couldn’t be rotten. Well it is and they suggested I get back in my car and drive the 44 minutes plus traffic just to prove it to them. Unbelievable. They were so nasty that I almost did just to make them taste it. They have lost my business and I will certainly let all my friends know to choose a different orchard if you want good service ( and a pie that is not rotten )!

Definitely worth the time and travel to the local neighborhood. Parking was free, great selection of apples. Foodwise, options are limited , corn on the cob, hard cider bar and i think they had hotdogs. Although we went late into the season, we had a great time with the family

I went apple picking last weekend. I don’t want to sound cliche, but the quality compared to store bought is incomparable. The cider was the best part or the donuts. They’re tied for first. Usually I hate apple cider, it’s consistency and flavor isn’t for me.But here they make they’re cider, traditional flavor at least, with champagne yeast. And it was more like a sparkling wine you drink on New Years. At least in my opinion, and it’s strong so be careful!

We've been coming here for over 15 years, and have loved it (except for the cider donuts, which are just average). We went in mid-October. We knew there would be fewer apples, but we just didn't have a chance to make our annual pilgrimage there sooner. We paid our entrance fee ($5.99 per person), and read the sign stating where the remaining apples were located (Fuji and Braeburn). Not our favorite, but again, our fault for coming so late. So we walked up to the upper orchards, as per their instructions. However, there were NO apples where they told us to go. None. And it wasn't just us. You could hear lots of people upset about the lack of apples. After walking around for about an hour trying to find apples, we came back to the main area empty-handed. So we politely asked for a refund (we weren't the only ones - someone came up right after us and also asked for a refund). To our surprise, we were told point blank they do not give refunds. So basically, we were scammed. They took our money knowing there were no apples. What a loss of trust. They explained they charge an "entrance fee" even if you didn't want to pick apples. So if I just wanted to walk up to the register to purchase donuts, I would have to pay the $5.99 entrance fee first. Seriously? I have to pay for the ability to purchase donuts, cider, jams, etc. at this location? Nope. They lost a loyal customer this year.

Definitely a cute stand with pumpkins, apple cider donuts and other sweet treats. I thought it was going to be pumpkin picking. But the pumpkins are neatly by the stand. They have a low entrance fee and you can also make reservations online. I'm not well versed but it was simple enough to be a walk-in so that was great. A couple of concessions aside from all the fall appropriate goodies. One stand that held their hard cider that you can drink while going Apple picking. Entrance fee did include the hay ride which in my experience isn't normally the case so I was thankful. Definitely recommend doing the hay ride, a lot of people are eager to get right into the orchards that surround the stand and they did have a sign letting people know that quantity was a bit low of certain apples with their apologies. The hay ride how ever did take you to a more densely filled part of the orchard which did make the Apple picking way more bountiful and fun. My daughter (10) and I had a lot of fun and were able to make it last 2 1/2 hours so I highly recommend and would suggest the trip. There is also a solid park for the kids to play at. Lastly parking didn't seem to be an issue we were there early enough to be able to park by the little stand set ups but they had parking attendants helping everyone to find a parking spot with ease as I perceived it. Overall had so much fun and their donuts were amazing!

Absolutely love Melick's Orchards! The apples are always fresh, they have the best cherry hard cider and delicious apple cider donuts! It's always a good time and at this point i've recommend Melick's to every single family and friend because I love it so much! My only critique is the pricing... recently the prices have gone up and it's just not sustainable for a large group to visit if each person has to purchase an entry fee, along with the apples, along with hard cider (which had also gone up significantly), plus other items at the market, etc. It stinks because I used to visit multiple times a year and this year it was a very expensive activity for my large group.

Why wait? This is the best time to visit Melick's Town Farm, Oldwick, New Jersey. We made our reservation online and paid a small fee but it was worth it! The employees are friendly and we picked lots of apples. Overall the experience was very good however, just be prepared to swat a few of the evasive flies that provided some dramatic moments.
