It's a cool store to look around at stuff and try on/try out specific things, but especially if you're looking for athletic clothing (for hiking, running, biking, etc.) the selection and sizes can often be lacking so you're better off shopping online and saving the trip.

Had the worst service here today, where no one would help us despite several attempts at us asking. I am so put off by this experience that we will never step foot in an REI again.

Manager was rude to me in front of a store full of people.
Every other staff member I have encountered previously has been extremely helpful and courteous. It’s a shame that the manager doesn’t know how to express himself politely!
This has put me off shopping here in the future.

Ian in the Bike Service department went above and beyond to service my bike, even making a last minute chain change when it was just minutes till closing. All so I wouldn't have to drive to come back another time. This is how customer service should be! Thank you Ian! The manager was also super friendly and engaging with the guests. You've made a member for life.

Would never come back here if it was the last outdoor store on earth. Kid at the register charged my card twice then argued with me that my card did not process (it did…. Twice) now I have to wait 60 days for my bank to refund me hundreds of dollars, thanks REI such a great Christmas experience woohoo!
