Yesterday, I went to the Lawrenceville location and spent $450 on merchandise. After leaving some items in the shopping cart near the door, I headed to my truck. When I heard yelling behind me, I turned around to find two employees and a customer recording me and my truck.
I asked what was wrong, and one of the employees accused me of stealing. I showed them my receipt and explained that I still had items inside the store. The employee threatened to call the police but later apologized when they realized their mistake.
I returned everything and got a refund. Beware of shopping at this location as one employee, who refused to give her name, and the store manager, Patricia W., accused me of shoplifting without checking my receipt. Also, the jewelry sensors aren’t disabled after purchase, and I was made aware of that by the cashier however I never thought that a 4.99 pair of earrings that I purchased would leaded to such a scene in the parking lot after the manager Patria, and the other employee watched me make my purchases. Burlington Coat Factory of Lawrence needs professional security instead of overzealous employees who profile and relying on their personal iPhones to take pictures of customers all while making false accusations later to only apologize. I hope the manger is replaced as she is totally out of control and leading the store down the path of a major lawsuit.

In December I was working for Burlington Coat Factory in North Carolina and was planning on moving to NJ. My manager told me the transfer had been sent and things were in order for me to start when I moved. I even remember talking to the manager Dawn about meeting up after her PTO about putting me on the schedule.
Long story short she canceled my transfer and gave me no warning nor a valid explanation. It has been almost three months and I haven’t been able to pay rent and now I’m homeless. I’ve tried talking to HR about it but they keep connecting me to the store where my calls are ignored or avoided when I mention my name. I am seeking compensation for this wrong doing or I will be taking legal action.

To be honest, it was the worst experience ever!I have never in my life felt so overwhelmed shopping as I did tonight!my daughter simply needed a birthday gift for her friend, and as we shopped, we were being completely watched by a woman wearing a shirt that said"lost prevention"every where we turned she was literally right there!!we my daughters and I felt completely harassed to the point we will never step foot in your store again there are to many other stores that we can go to where we don't feel like we do now leaving Burlington coat in Lawrence shopping center!!you may have a shop lifting problem there but it's not us and we shouldn't be made to be uncomfortable in your store!
