I can’t say enough good things about this place! We stayed June 2024. The room was spacious and clean. We had enough room to set up the baby’s pack and play. The staff was friendly and the location can’t be beat. We joked that it felt like we were staying in a friends guest room instead of a hotel. If you’re looking for a place to stay, highly recommend!

Stayed here on a recent trip, and the staff was amazing! We had a lot of travel trouble due to flight issues, and the hotel went above and beyond to accommodate us getting some sleep despite having contractors on site updating their tv systems. Would 100% stay here again if in the area. Cute lobby and pool areas too.
Walkability: Walkable to beach and restaurants, etc.

Sweet little hotel located in the heart of Lavallette. Clean, comfortable, and so close to everything. I very much enjoyed my stay and will definitely stay again!
Rooms: Sweet little room, very clean and updated!
Nearby activities: Beach, shopping, restaurants
Safety: Lavallette is a very safe town.
Walkability: Very convenient walking to all of the local shops and restaurants.

Excellent location on the main street in beautiful Lavalette, NJ. The reservation process was easy and convenient. And the owner made sure to communicate effectively since I was coming in as a late arrival. Thanks for the extra support. The motel room was clean and attractive.

Our third year staying here and it couldn’t be any better. Perfect location for a weekend trip to the beach. Rooms are clean and just what you need for a simple getaway. One block to the beach and several restaurants within a short walk. We will always continue to stay at Lamplight as long as we vacation in lavalette.

Very nice, clean motel with a pool! My grandchildren loved the cute, little pool. Swimming is from 7am until 10 pm. We stayed on the first floor and it was just a nice, family friendly atmosphere. The ladies at the front desk, Francesca and especially Jennifer went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. They could not have been sweeter! We loved our stay here and hope to come back again

You cant go wrong. Adult and family friendly, clean and quiet. Pool is tiny. Narrow parking spaces. A taste of classic Lavalette. Beach is spectacular!

I was so disappointed with this motel. When we arrived around noon it was pouring rain called the Lamplight to find out if our room was ready they advised it was and we could check in early but there was a $25 fee to do so, after paying almost $300 a night I declined. Our room was clean but had a musty smell. There are no towels if you go in the pool but they try to sell you towels. They do not give you fresh towels everyday in your room if you want them you need to go to front desk. They don't make your beds either but they leave an envelope for a tip. They have a friendly staff that work there was the only plus for this motel.

Rooms: Rooms are clean and recently completely renovated.Noteworthy details: The entire hotel was recently renovated and is under new ownership. The friendliest staff I’ve ever encountered at any hotel. Everyone was very accommodating and worked hard to make sure our stay was wonderful. The ownership provided beach badges for our use a no charge. There is a small pool area for relaxing when not at the ocean. Walking distance to food, shops ice cream and a sweet shop. A great value, I highly recommend!

A friend of mine recommended this hotel for location and cleanliness. I agree! The staff was very nice and friendly. The room was clean and updated. The pool is just the right size for a quick dip after a day at the beach which is a short walk away. I look forward to a longer stay next time!
