Christyl's expertise is unmatched. If you are interested in professional restoration, then look no farther for a conservatory studio. As an owner of a fine art gallery, I can appreciate the wonderful attention to detail and great customer service. A+ communication.

So I called about an estimate and they said they needed to see the painting which is fine, I would drive over an hour if its that important to me. Any idiot thinking they are going to get a phone estimate is NOT judging the Conservator on their work.

I had a very, very old painting cleaned and restored at Cusworth conservatory. Chrystal Cusworth is extremely professional, her work was excellent and it was done in a timely manner. I have found that she is also the most skilled and very fair priced for the quality and high level of work that she performs.

I am so pleased with the painting that Christyl Cusworth restored. Painted in 1875, it was very dark, missing paint in several spots, had a large crack, and prior repairs had been done badly. Now it looks like a different painting, and you can see so much more detail. Everyone who sees it says, "Wow!" Christyl's prices were reasonable, and she completed the restoration on schedule.

Wrote 2 emails asking for an estimate and they refused. I asked for a ballpark figure; IE nothing exact. The only thing they told me was "the bridging technique can be costly." I said they could be hundreds of dollars off in range even. How am I supposed to want to come to your office if you can't give me some sort of ballpark estimate? I provided photos, details of what I'd like done, the condition and size of the piece and they still couldn't tell me anything. Ok thanks I'll just use someone else's services then.Reply - It's strange that every other restorer I contacted could do that but you can't. So I'm supposed to drive 2 hours to find out what your estimate is? This sounds unreasonable to me.
