“We had our wedding at the Pleasantdale Chateau this past Saturday, and calling it extraordinary somehow still feels like an understatement. Multiple guests have already told us this was the best wedding they’ve ever been to—and we completely agree.
When planning, we seriously debated between the Pleasantdale and several famous New York City venues. Choosing the Pleasantdale was the best decision we’ve ever made—and that is truly not an exaggeration.
What sets the Pleasantdale apart is the combination of outstanding service and extraordinary food. The staff is attentive, warm, and seamlessly professional in a way that makes you feel completely taken care of from start to finish. Every detail was handled with precision and genuine care, allowing us to actually relax and enjoy our day. And the food—absolutely unreal. Guests are still talking about how incredible every course was, from cocktail hour through dessert.

Elizabeth was extremely helpful during the planning process—from helping with floorplans and securing event licenses to coordinating with vendors. Her attention to detail made everything seamless and stress-free.

“I had my daughter’s 1st birthday here and everything was great! Trish and John are so nice and accommodating and were very responsive through email answering any questions. Very easy to work with. The staff was nice and willing to help in anyway, the food and drinks were good and all our guests were happy! We received a lot of compliment on what a nice party it was!”

“The venue is in excellent condition. Beautiful. Parking was a bit confusing. Pre-paid Parking next to the CPAC was not available to retrieve from the website as indicated on the web page. There was a guy asking to be paid at the entrance of the lot but he had no credentials (uniform or otherwise) indicating he worked there. I took a picture of him and his vehicle.”
“We hosted my son and daughter in laws baby shower at this event space and couldn’t recommend it enough. The owner was respectful, communicative, and very accommodating especially when we received news that a snowstorm was coming on the day of the event. She helped us to coordinate a new date and time to ensure our celebration happened. The event space was spacious and in a great location! We had an amazing time!”

“Indigo art studio was great for our son’s 6th birthday! They took care of everything and were so kind and accommodating. The party was a lot of fun for the kids and the adults. The party space is large and really cool, with a stage and graphics projected on the wall. Highly recommend!”
“Came here with my 2 year old. This place is excellent. Huge space, plenty of room for everyone and ton of activities and toys. People are kind. A special shoutout to the onsite cafe- the personal pizza pie will rival most pizzerias in quality. Anyone with a negative review- you must be one of the types that complain about everything. This place is perfect to keep your toddlers engaged and get social interaction with other babies without being on top of each other.”
“Had my 50th Birthday here the hall was spacious and clean as well as the bathrooms. They were very accommodating Especially Brenda who went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed Always got back to me in a timely manner very polite. The bartender which we had was amazing funny great personality. They allowed us the night before to drop off our things from decorations, drinks, and food. Brenda opened early 9am the day of to allow us enough time to decorate. I would definitely rent this hall again.So worth it.”

“The place was great for spending time with friends and family. It was small compared to other bowling places I have been to but it doesn’t take away the fun I have had. The food was decent, not great but not the worst but the fried broccoli was a bit mushy. Other items were great, so were the sauces. Overall, this place can be visited for a good time.”
“Great historic theater. The sound at the Dark Star Orchestra event, 11/20/2025, was great. It was very clean and clear. Great crowd, great staff and the band was extremely good once they got warmed up, which didn't take very long. Dark Star Orchestra always delivers professionalism.
Parking is easy enough with both street parking and a parking garage close by. A pretty laid back experience all around.”

“I’m so happy to write this review! I was planning a rehearsal dinner for my son’s wedding. I was not familiar with the area near the wedding venue. I specifically wanted a location to accommodate 50+ people and allow me to bring in my own alcohol. I found The Warehouse online. Right from the start, I was greeted warmly by Lisa, who was able to talk me through the space, menu, staffing, pricing, etc. She patiently answered my litany of questions, worked within my budget, and presented me with a menu and plan for the evening. In a nutshell, the food was fantastic, the space was beautiful (shabby chic/rustic), very comfortable for the group. The staff managing our dinner, led by Noemi, was superb! She attended to every detail, beautifully displayed the bar options, food, and desserts. Not a detail was missed! We never felt rushed in anyway. I highly recommend The Warehouse for any event!”

From set up , to take down t hey staff is amazing! The DJ is awesome ! He’s on the floor with the “ kids” getting them involved and having a great time. . Can’t say enough about the team at PHS!”

He answered all our questions, worked closely with us to create a menu that perfectly suited our guests, and was present during the events to make sure everything ran smoothly.
The staff at Moghul Ballroom went above and beyond to make sure both events were seamless and enjoyable. The ballroom itself is beautiful and elegant. Every detail, from the setup to the service during the events, was handled with care and attention.

“In just a few days, the upcoming Lunar New Year brings the Year of the Dragon on February 10th among East and Southeast Asian cultures. It’s fifth in the 12-animal Chinese zodiac cycle and the only animal that’s a mythical creature. This afternoon, my partner and I arrived at the Woodland, located off of Woodland Road in Maplewood, to celebrate Lunar Fest NJ 2024—Maplewood Arts & Culture. Completed in 1930, the Georgian Revival-style mansion and adjoining auditorium have been a hub for Maplewood’s vibrant cultural and civic life for over eight decades. The unique event features lion dance, performances representing Chinese, Mongolian, Thali, and Korean cultures, children's activities, and delicious food trucks, which brought out the crowd.”
“On a scale of 1-10, I would give the Food Company a 15!! They were absolutely amazing!! The food was outstandingly delicious and the service was wonderful. They were so attentive to us and very professional and friendly. They added so many personalized touches to our wedding, which made our event even more special and memorable. Our guests were truly blown away by the food and the service. Many said it was the best food they ever had at a wedding -- both the cocktail hour selections and the buffet. We truly can't thank them enough. If you want first-class catering, delicious food, impeccable service, and nice, professional people -- hire the Food Company. You won't go wrong. “AMAZING venue!! We rented the entire facility for a sports-themed Bar Mitzvah with a couple hundred people. Kids AND adults all had a blast as there was something for everyone. Amy is the BEST to work with - helped to make our vision come alive and kept everything running smoothly all night. Very flexible space - highly recommend!”
