I love how you always have my blood sugar test strips at the pharmacy and it's always at a good price they are but unfortunately due to people who Want to shoplift in your store it makes it difficult for me to get my hair products and my artificial finger nail products like the press on nails and etc but I always manage to buy what I need in your store but you don't carry Schick intuition refills for my Schick intuition razor I have at home like you only carry the razor maybe you should have the refills also so I don't have to go to a different store for them otherwise I love your store I always get my test strips for my blood sugar monitor at your store every month and most of my hygiene products in your store. Keep up the great service

DO NOT GO TO THIS DUANE READE PHARMACY! The worst experience last night. I faithfully come here to receive my vaccinations usually given to me by the male doctor. Last night was the worst experience! I was greeted by a very rude female doctor. I express to her that I had an appointment, and wanted to know if I could still receive it. Very rudely and unprofessional she yells across to me, "WELL YOU SHOULD'VE CALLED AND LET SOMEBODY KNOW YOU WERE GOING TO BE LATE." I've never been so rudely spoken to by someone in my life. Walgreens Corporate you really need to evaluate who you have serving the public. So my advice to you is to go somewhere.

Yikes- 1 is being generous. This place has repeatedly gotten my prescription incorrect. Insurance only covers a 3 month prescription but consistency they change what the DOCTOR prescribed to a 1 month prescription which I would have to pay full price for. I got in line today at 11am and walked out at 1230pm. 1 person behind the register. 1 pharmacist filling prescriptions. 1 lady doing nothing in the back. Finally a woman came to the register. Only to find out that my prescription was incorrect. She said she's the general manager of the store who has 0 relevant knowledge of what to do. I complain saying this same issue has happened close to 10 times. Please follow what the doctor prescribed. Pharmacist-"I didn't do it" Okay who did. "I don't know". Excuse me but your picture is right up here. Seems like your pretty important how could you not know who keeps making these errors. Manager- "please write in any complaints you have". You asked and now you shall receive. Despicable. Only go because of the convenience and the fact that its a LARGE corporation that my insurance covers going through. Absolutely last time I go through there. INCOMPETENT is a generous term to throw in the direction of Duane Reade at 1 path plaza , Jersey City, NJ 07306

Amazing pharmacists and one woman at the checkout--been going here since 2013 and since recently have found store management to be lacking-I've Daren them come and go and this woman is the worst of all the previous ones who have been great -long lines at the pharmacy -she's busy socializing instead of seeing things move quickly-didn't understand how one woman at the register walked away, leaving The regular worker to tend to the 10 people waiting to pickup meds ! If it wasn't for the exceptional pharmacists I'd change -and take the 250,000 $ worth of meds a year to another pharmacy

30+ minutes to pick up a prescription no matter what day/time you go. If there are people in the line, it can take up to 45 minutes until you can speak to someone. They open only one register even if there are over ten people waiting. When you finally get to the register, they might as well curse you off with that attitude. Makes me want to not pick up my prescription rather than deal with these people. Today, I waited 30 minutes only to get to the register for them to tell me sorry, cash only. It's a pharmacy...Some medications cost a lot. And you tell me cash only once I'm already at the register? Wish another pharmacy would open up in JSQ.

I went to ask for a mask at the counter when I went to purchase my items. And was directed downstairs where I was informed that I would be provided a free mask. And upon arriving at the pharmacist (who are usually warm and inviting at other Walgreens establishments.) I ran into a team member who seemed to be having a bad day and wanted to project her racial biases. Me. Li Shan Chen was the rudest employee I have ever encountered at a Duane reade. When I asked her for a mask (after being instructed to go to the pharmacy for a free one after my initial transaction) she told me "I should've already had a mask." And I thought that was a really terrible thing to say. Considering we are in the middle of a worldwide pandemic. It really left a bad taste in my mouth. But I wished her well. And went on with my day.

This store is absolutely terrible. Avoid it at all costs. Seriously it is terrible. Stay away. Update: They ran out of bags today. How is that even possible. A severe lack of planning is how.

Poor operations management. I was standing in the line to consult with a pharmacist before purchasing a pill. Wasn't feeling too well, so I got annoyed when after a 15-minute wait the lady told me to instead ask another pharmacist who was sitting in a different section. That other pharmacist asked me to wait and took his sweet time to finish whatever he was working on. At some point, the phone rang, and he addressed the call immeditately. If he couldn't speak with me, he should have put the person on hold until he's done with my request. I turned to yet another pharmacist to get help, then I rushed away to pay at at the cashier. By the man's logic, I would have gotten a faster service if I called him on the phone. I wish the Pharmacy staff manages their customers' needs faster.

This 5 star review is solely because of RITA!!!! She is always so sweet and helpful and I can't imagine not seeing her everytime I go into this Duane Reade. Great customer service and she is always so knowledgeable about deals and always leaves us with a smile. Please make sure she sees this!

The Employees are Lazy! I dont think they stock the inventory on time. I bought bad milk twice from this store. Most likely because it wasn't refrigerated as it came. WILL never buy dairy from their ever again!!!!!!!!!

Not a bad looking store, just tired of getting followed around. Also the store racially profiles Black men. A former employee told me that whenever you hear "Cough and Cold department please", that is their way of signalling to security that there are Black men in the store, even when there's not a single soul in the cough and cold department. Not very customer friendly TBQH. Given everything that's happening in our country today, it's pretty disheartening. As I said before the store usually looks clean, the staff is a bit annoying, between the old guy with the glasses who can't seem to give you the advertised deal, even when you're showing him the weekly insert, to the high school (college?) kids goofing off instead of ringing up your orders. Most of the time you just give up and pay and get the hell out of there. Use Amazon instead, heh!

Let me preface by saying I consider myself to be very patient, and understanding as I've worked in customer service/retail for many years. This store has literally done nothing to get better. There was a young woman with black hair, and a heavy amount of makeup at the counter. When I checked out I asked about why the advertisement posted in the aisle wasn't applied during my transaction.... showed her my receipt. She tells me it's not valid, so I walked over to the aisle where a young man with curly hair followed me to.. he said "I got you" after I showed him what I saw on the sign. Go back to the counter where I left the receipt as well as the items I just purchased for them to tell me I LOST THE RECEIPT and gave me the hardest time to return the money they essentially just stole from me. After 5 minutes of a run around, I left because it wasn't even worth it trying to continuously explain how they messed up. I can see how they only stay in business because of their convenient location.
