the often orders unnecessary tests. Time management is not a thing here. Doctor is good but how is ordering unnecessary/unrelated tests justified. Also, doctor will get upset if you decided to consult a specialist by yourself, instead of going to a doctor that he prefers. Also, FYI, medical records will be destroyed without the patient being informed, as they maintain only 7 yrs records.

I absolutely LOVE Dr. Majchrzak !! The most thorough physical I ever had, always listens to your needs and doesn’t rely on just prescribing medicine as most doctors in the US do. He discovered something no other doctor had ever even mentioned and I was asymptomatic. However, I was in surgery less than 2 weeks later. I have recommended him to all my family and coworkers. This entities office is just great, they truly care for their patients!! If I could give them 10 stars I would. Anyways I could go on and on but you get the point!

They did an ANC (not sure about the name, the vascular one) test (without me asking for it and not relevant to the reason of my visit) and never shared the results with me. Was it only to bill insurance? When I call to follow-up, they hang-up! ?

I'm sure I'm going to be in the minority of people who have not had a good overall experience with this practice, but it is the truth and it needs to be told. In the end, Dr. Majchrszack's business will continue to thrive, but I can at least shed some light and a caveat emptor should you venture here. Several years ago I had come here at the recommendation of a friend. I read reviews; they were great, but I missed a few negative ones. Note to yelpers prolific and casual: always check the negative reviews, even if they are few and far between. Who's to say those 4 and 5-star reviews aren't coming from friends and even bot posters to make sure a business shows up with a high score? It happens all the time. You've been warned. When. you come in, the first thing you get is a vulgar girl who has been there forever. She will not greet you and can even be antagonizing. The only person I have to state is maternal is Magda, who has in the past given me my flu shots. However, with this girl, you get sharp language and an attitude that she's not there to care for you and you're a nuisance to her. I can only assume she works there because of a family relation; otherwise, she'd have been replaced a long time ago, but after this review, I shall never go back there, so that's it. When I met Dr. Majchrszak, he was of the impossible-to-spell name, he was still and resembled something out of a time machine. He speaks into a dictaphone -- yes, you heard it -- and demands you take tests to ensure you are not sporting some unknown disease or health condition. I was subjected to endless tests with his cardiologist Ferayoon Kohan who determined I had a heart condition. [I didn't, but more to that later.] I was placed under strict medication on high blood pressure medications, all of which made me gain untold amounts of weight. Eventually, when the pandemic happened and all one could do was jog, masked, throughout empty streets, for hours, I proved that no, I never was hypertensive. But wait! Majchrszak had determined I needed to get a colonoscopy at once! It's just that the doctor was way out of my insurance. I declined. [I will get a colonoscopy... just at my discretion.] At the moment I am battling COVID-19. When I call, because he is my GP (well... until today, no more), I get the same rude girl, and the message that he'd call me back. Reader, it took 6 hours - almost a solid 7 - before that happened. In the meantime, and because I was very, very sick and desperate, I contacted my insurance, procured an impromptu meeting with Teladoc, and got my medication. I feel much, much better. Also alarming is the fact that at 9:00 and until 9:30 you don't get anyone on the line, and during the hours of 12:00 and 1:00 pm, your call will show as "Your call did not complete as dialed. Please check your number, and dial again." So, if there is an emergency, and you don't have the doctor's number (or anyone else's for that matter), what do you do? This is unacceptable for a practice that presents itself as one that takes care of the sick. Meanwhile, Majchrszak? Oh, he called back. I got prednisone and dextromethorphan - not Paxlovid (although granted, I did get this through Teladoc, so high-five, Teladoc). Prednisone makes a person gain enormous amounts of weight. What is with this doctor's fixation on dispensing medication that does nothing but make you retain water? When I stated I'd go and procure it at the pharmacy he yelled at me [he always yells] that I could not go get my medication myself and that he would be closely monitoring my health to include tests upon tests to make sure I am disease-free. I hung up, frustrated and angry because he failed to come through when I needed him the most, but began with his usual vaudeville act of being a doctor caught in his own ego trip, in a different century, a dictaphone at his side. Sometimes some doctors should retire. Go at your own risk. Or who knows; perhaps you adore him. I can assure you that I do n

The doctor is very kind and very accommodating to people no matter what situation they are in. He is very caring and always professional. This has been my go to doctor for many years and he is an awsome person! The staff are great as well. They remember your name and face and will always treat you with respect. This is an awsome place and I recommend it to anyone who needs help with a health issue.

If it were only Dr. Majchrzak & his staff I would’ve given this a 1-star rating, but since I see his colleague, Gastro Dr. Lippe there, I decided to give three stars since Dr. Lippe is a very caring doctor and understands what my disease can do—I have a rare disease & he’s had three patients prior to me w/the same issue. Gave me E.S. liver disease, brain damage (insomnia, mood swings, anxiety, short-term memory loss, tremors which have gone), internal bleeding, ascites, reproductive issues, rheumatoid arthritis, IBS, Gerd, HPG, neutropenia & thrombocytopenia. However, I worked hard to get better, & I’m getting there. I no longer need a liver transplant, but I’ve had pelvic pain for three years, the pain is bad, & it’s constant. My gyno knows much about my disease, as well, & she’s doing her best to help me find the problem & fix it. My liver disease/transplant team is familiar with my disease, too.I was in the MMJ program with Majchrzak, but when I needed to begin seeing my pain management doc, my PM doc said I can’t be on painkillers & marijuana at the same time bc it’s supposedly against the law. One time while visiting dr. M, I told him this, that the pain is bad & I’m suffering, after he asked why I haven’t requested an MMJ scrip in a while. I even said it wouldn’t be for long. He became angry with me to the point when I began to cry, to which he unsympathetically stated, “Oh, stop crying!”, but I told him I can’t—he’d triggered a mood swing. He’s given me referrals to several types of docs including hematologist/oncologists, neurologists, and such. A couple didn’t take my ins. & I was already seeing types of drs he recommended since I had a team of docs at a really good hospital clinic who know more about my disease than Majchrzak, as well. One day in March I wanted to make an appointment with Majchrzak, & was rudely told by the staff that he had discharged me in September—news to me! Never received a letter or a phone call. Nada. I asked why, & they rudely said I didn’t follow his orders & that I was a risk. Thing is, he never gave me orders—-recommendations, yes, but no orders, & his bad temper when I told him I needed to hold off on the MMJ scrips was no order—it was simply unprofessional. He would become impatient with me when I’d be trying to explain what was going on or a problem I was having; often I forget words due to the brain damage. Every time I’d explain things to him & wasn’t finished he’d cut me off & then pull out his tape recorder & fill in my report with misinformation, & if I tried to quietly correct the falsification he’d shush me. Besides, my liver improved, I gained weight after being skeletal, no thanks to him. I should take orders from him, then?Only thing for which I give him props is, after I returned from a diff. state where the transplant list is much shorter & was rejected by a very unethical hepatologist, we worked together to see her actions had consequences & succeeded. Was nice at first, but after a while became increasingly ill-tempered. Even if he DID give me orders, most of my other docs know more about my disease that he, so I take most of my orders from them. I’ve heard him yelling at other patients while waiting (too long). When I go to see Dr. Lippe I never have to wait long, at all. I’ve noticed there that dr. M has a heavy load of patients & I think he’s overwhelmed...he’s also seasoned, & having a ton of patients seems to be getting to him. Time to retire, if you ask me, but it’s no excuse to take his frustrations out on the patients. Now I’ve been searching for a PCP (and forget about finding another around here who’s in the MMJ program since Majchrzak has the monopoly on it) who knows about my disease & how it works, & it hasn’t been easy. I need to travel to Hasbrouck Heights now to get my MMJ scrips, which is tough for me. There are other MMJ docs around, but they charge too much for scrips & I’m on SSD. Ridiculous, since I care about my health, to drop me for being a so-c

Love him!! hate the waiting, but I tolerate it because he's so good as what he does --I typically plan to spend a half of day there--but the plus is once he gets in the room with you--you don't feel rushed. I highly recommend!

Im a cancer survivor and I was recommended to Dr Majchzak’s from my pain management doctor. I’ve seen many doctors since my diagnosis and What I can say about Dr. Majchzak and his team is that they are a very compassionate, and professional team and with my first visit he has done more for me then 20 doctors over the last 5 years. It’s hard to find a good practice who can actively listen and Dr. Majchzak has definitely personalized my care and has helped me both physically and emotionally. Thank you to Dr. Majchzak and his team.

Needed to be seen for blood tests and surgery approval on very short notice and dr majchrzak was able to provide everything I needed in the short time that I had to get everything done.He seems like a very straightforward, old school, honest and tell it like it is kinda doctor which I respect a lot.Though the staff and doctor are not the most cordial which I did not mind as long as what needs to get done is done and it was perfectly to my satisfaction. The nurse who took my blood was very friendly and probably the best phlebotomist that has ever drawn my blood and I get my blood drawn atleast 4 times a year.Old school family practice. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a primary in the journal square area.
