Pros: It is a large, clean, tidy place and I find more variety than in other locations.Cons: customer service, on Wednesday I made my purchases, I paid with the cashier and when I asked her if she had a bag that I could buy she said no, Target hasn't had bags for 4 years!I told her that I bought one Target reusable bag at the Times Square location over the summer, but the cashier insisted they didn't have bags at Target, I told her I wasn't asking for a plastic bag or asking for a reusable bag for free, I'm asking for buy a reusable bag to carry my purchases because I forgot my reusable bag at home; I'm not imagining it, I know that Target sells reusable bags and I have to carry my purchases in my hand on the train...The cashier responded with attitude "It's not my problem" to which I told her that I am going to that store to pay for my things, not to ask for charity, I am not buying luxury there but I am investing my money there and I don't care about her attitude, I am not afraid of this kind of people aggressive ways, I deserve good customer service since I am respectful, but what can I expect from a cashier who I greet politely and I didn't get a simple Hello back?It is sad that this year is just starting and there are people working in different places in customer service, with a lackadaisical attitude, as if their lives were miserable, as if they saw enemies in the strangers they attended; Are they all coming from the same school of "Customer Service?"What I know is that while Target is not a luxury store, it is also not a place where I expect Ghetto treatment. If there are people who hate their jobs they should leave it to the machines (By the way, I didn't do self check out due to the amount of items, but I would have rather do it myself).Anyway, there was another employee who I asked about a bag and she brought me a large plastic bag, at least she solved something without arguing and without attitude. But apparently Target is a place where I can no longer go back in, if I have forgotten my reusable bags, many other places sell them, but according to this entitled employee, Target is the exception.

When you get the suburban itch to jump in your car and grocery shop (or anything shop) without the long walk home, this place is a real oasis. In my opinion, it's clean and well organized and has everything you could be looking for. Groceries? I've gotten everything on my list here. Present for little kids? Check! Rugs and baskets and sheet sets? Check, check and check. Things for work like gift bags, note cards, etc. They've got it. You know and love Target, so I won't go on. Sure, it can get super busy on the weekend, but the parking lot is huge. If you can, go during the week to beat the crowd and the veryyyyyyy long self service line. And maybe don't hold out too much hope that you'll find an employee walking around if you need help. But otherwise, no complaints!

I've been coming to this Target location in Jersey City for years. It's conveniently located which makes it very easy for me to do some last minute Christmas shopping. Don't want to keep reading? Here's your takeaway from this review "DON'T BUY GIFT CARDS HERE" In October, I purchased a $100 gift card for my coworker for her Birthday present. Like most individuals, it might take a month to actually find the time or need to use one. Upon giving the gift card in for a purchase she was told that the card is already in use and has a $0 balance. Thinking we could easily remedy this with the saved receipt, original credit card used for purchase, and a relatively short time from purchase to "use", we brought it back to this Target. The returns attendant called for manager assistance and we were flat out told that there's nothing they can do. "Call the number on the back" is what she stated. This is absolutely unacceptable and frankly, I'm embarrassed that my present to someone turned out this way. It's the Holiday season. If you're going to target, sure, buy an actual item; but DON'T BUY GIFT CARDS. They have no local contingency plans and will turn you away while someone else is spending your money. It's more than enough for me not to want to come back. Do they care that they lost a customer. Probably not, but this isn't how business should be conducted. Zero effort to escalate or find resolution.

Watched the store get robbed today. A group of loss prevention employees watched as 2 men walked out with a cart full of Lego boxes. Wish they could do more to stop this, but this is a corporate issue as they do not want their employees to intervene. Kind of ironic though that we have to show our receipt leaving though. Store was stocked. Lots of employees on hand for assistance. Target has the habit of showing one price shelves and another at the register, used the app so I relied on the validity of that price. Starbucks is always convenient but the machine would not accept the Starbucks app for payment, claim their machine doesn't work. Definitely inconvenient since i preloaded my card before reaching the register. I wish there were other Target locations nearby but this is the closest to me.

Under fire from Amazon, some stores feel like they're attempting to hasten their demise. The only available bag is tiny and costs $3. Meanwhile, detergent prices have amazingly surpassed Morton Williams and Duane Reade.

I just spent $450 at target and forgot a $1.79 sour cream. I waited on like maybe 15 -20 mins as the store was very busy. I walked over to the pharmacy which had no line, and the woman refused to ring up my ONE SOLE ITEM. Saying she can only ring up pharmacy items when I know for a fact that's a lie because I've worked at many stores with pharmacies and it's common sense that u can ring an item from the store up. Even if it's true, the eye rolls and the shoulder shrugs were unecessaey from the employee. I honestly feel like returning every item and ordering on amazing because it kills me to spend so much money somewhere and not be treated like a valued consumer ...over ONE ITEM.

On August 25, 2023, I placed an order online to pick up in store. There were 12 total items. When I went to pick up the items, I was told there were ZERO bags that I could use to carry them. Apparently they didn't receive the shipment that day. I understand logistical errors occur, but the front desk service did ABSOLUTELY nothing to help me. I even asked if there are any grocery bags I could purchase or anything of use. The front desk lady didn't show care and showed zero sympathy. I had to walk home for 20 minutes carrying all items by hand. Show some respect if things like this happen! Or at least tell people when they walk in the door! Because you buy all these groceries expecting to be bagged but clearly that wasn't the case. Poor job by service.

This store is hands down nasty they have roaches in their clothes and market area. The refrigerators and freezers are always leaking. I have seen expired food on the shelf and I brought yogurt and it was spoiled because they leave it sitting out. There are no employees to help you if you really need it. I couldn't buy a stroller or vacuum from here because you always have to call security to unlock it from the display. Everytime I go to buy clothes and I need a specific size for my daughter or son I can't ask anyone because there is nothing but spanish speaking employees over there and they don't speak English. I am never coming back to this dirty target. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and I shouldn't have. The only reason why people come here is out of convenience and then they never come back .

The lines for self checkout are so long. There is almost no one working the other check out lines. Management, wake up and either hire more people for checkout or install more self checkout machines.

Target has lost any respect they once had for their customers. No longer are their cashiers waiting to ring you up and get you out. No longer are there hand baskets to carry your chosen items around in. No longer can I walk into this store and expect to spend less time waiting to check out than I actually did shopping--AND FOR THOSE REASONS--I'M OUT. I suggest you never go back either.

Had to grab some diapers, juice and other household items. Able to find everything easily, and this Target has an Ulta which was such a treat. Able to get some beauty items as well.

Target always offers a satisfying shopping experience. It's my favorite place to shop for toiletries because their prices are more affordable than drug stores and they tend to have a good selection. On this trip, I also got their moose tracks store brand ice cream. I am not a big ice cream fan but I tried this variety a few years ago and fell in love with it. They have since rebranded it. It used to come in a red and black tub but it's now brown and white. It's not quite as good but still tasty, with caramel ice cream and lots of chocolate chunks. We also spent a good amount of time in their children's department looking for gifts for a 1 year old and 5 year old. They had a pretty good selection. Their toys were very reasonably priced and they had a ton of cute clothes for kids, especially for the summer.

Is this a Target or a gas station ?
