Good for checking account..For business account, look elsewhere..Bank representative doesn't know important information on what their bank provides.. Sometimes their information contradict with each other.. one guy said I can't sign a document but the manager said yes we can..I had to correct them on what they offer on their website and the manager mentioned that she will have to do more research on it..

I have been a customer here at this branch since 2009. I have always enjoyed a good relationship and excellent customer service. I no longer live in the neighborhood and do most of my banking with them online now. Two instances stand out for me with Santander. The bank: they caught and blocked a fraudulent transaction before processing. They called me to ask about it. It was an uncharacteristic withdrawal request of $800.00!!! Thank you!!! This actually happened again for a lesser amount 5 yrs later. Same result!! This branch: I had just moved to Weehawken and my new landlord went on vacation and asked me to leave my rent with his relative. He tried to bang me for $50.00 saying I paid the rent late after 5 days. I went to the branch and the young lady their, who actually opened my account years before, went into the computer and produced documents to prove I paid the rent on time. She was courteous, patient and very put out on my behalf that the landlord or rather his relative, was being dishonest with me. I was always treated with respect, both at the branch and with online customer service. What more could I ask for? Very happy with this branch and with the bank as a whole.

Darrel Wharton is extremely rude, impatient and incompetent with customers on the phone, as well as in person. HIS incompetence will cost real money to YOU, customer. Good luck to get your money back.I cannot recommend this branch to anyone, except my worst enemies.It's a real struggle to get basic banking tasks done here.

Lousy customer service. Waited 30 minutes to see a manager when there was nobody in the bank. The ATM machines are decrepit and at night, unlike every other bank around, they lock the lobby and force you to take your chances withdrawing your money isolated on the street. Not very safe at all. I will be switching to Bank of America soon.

Went last week, bank rep was confused and couldn’t answer certain questions. Asked for a manager and he was rude, arrogant, not well versed and certainly disappointed. Closing my account which I opened in Bergen County. Terrible service and regret walking into that branch.

The bank don't have system of “first come first serve†for the client who comes to visit relationship manager on desk. Many times their system is not working and they can't complete the work.

Be careful this bank practices the highest amount overdraft fees, and their customer service is the worst.
