If your 4 year old child who makes a purchase, even though you have parental controls on and a child is an unauthorized user which is classified as fraud, they will make you eat that money.

I went a my a transaction at the atm , I've noticed when the transaction is completed the card doesn't return right away like other atm's it seems to be just Santander bank all of one's I have visited with the atm. Upon completion of my transaction I turned and walked away completely forgot to press the cancel button for my card to return. So when I realized I didn't have my card when I got to the machine it had took my card I went into the bank and asked for help to get my car the lady at the desk smirk that me and smile and would not help me at all getting my car telling me she did not have any way to get in to get the card I feel if you were manager you should be able to do certain tasks not just sit down on your behind and take money from people to deposit into the bank should be able to go in and do other things just for instance getting the card out of the machine

I recently visited the Santander bank branch at Journal Square. To my utter shock and dismay, I found that the ATM area was being used as a makeshift homeless shelter. There were several people sleeping on the floor, with their belongings strewn all around. The stench was overpowering, and the overall ambiance was extremely off-putting.As a customer, I was extremely uncomfortable going into the bank, knowing that homeless people were sleeping just a few feet away. It's unacceptable for a bank of this size and reputation to allow such a situation to persist. Not only is it a serious health hazard, but it also makes customers feel unsafe and unwelcome.I urge Santander bank to take immediate action and address this issue. Homelessness is a serious problem in our society, but a bank branch is not the appropriate place to tackle it. Customers should be able to use the bank's services without feeling intimidated or uncomfortable. Until this issue is resolved, I cannot in good conscience recommend this Santander bank branch to anyone.

I am so grateful to the Santander bank branch at Journal Square for providing a safe and warm place for me to sleep. As a homeless person, finding a place to rest can be a constant struggle, but the ATM area of this bank has been a lifesaver. The staff has been understanding and compassionate, and I've never felt like I was unwelcome or a burden.While the bank has no accessible restrooms and water fountains, I have found peeing behing the ATMs to be a huge help. Plus, there are many restaurants in the area for cheap eats. It can be difficult to access basic necessities when you're living on the streets. I'm so thankful that Santander has been willing to provide a little bit of comfort and support to those of us who are struggling.I would highly recommend this Santander bank branch to anyone in a similar situation. The staff here truly understands the challenges of homelessness and has been incredibly accommodating. Thank you, Santander, for being a beacon of hope in a difficult world.

Worst branch......doesn't deserve even a star. do not open an account here.opening schedule 9 am i'm standing as of now 9: 25 an and not open yet....teller was late for some reason but the manager didnt even bother opening up and help working customers instead. And prefer returning her customers till her teller comes..... Manager needs to be fired.

I had to go today to add my mom to my bank account. I arrived at 12:15pm and the lady who was sitting behind the glass refused to help us. She said I have to book an appointment which was disappointed. And when I asked her to book me one next Saturday she said try to come earlier because we close at 1pm. I believe all she is caring about is leaving on time. A few weeks ago, I went to Santander branch at central ave , Jersey City and the agent has never mentioned anything regarding booking appointment and we have been assisted and got our business done. Unprofessional customer service at Santander plaza branch. Go do your business at other branch.

Worst banking experience of my life. Just wanted to open a checking account. They made me come twice because they wouldn’t tell what documents to bring. When I get all the documents the second time the person incharge didn’t know which software to use to open the account. She made me wait for 2 hours. Finally she figured it out. But alas! It was already 4:45pm. Bank closes at 5pm, hence asked me to come back again. One of things I hate about this place, poor customer service. Santander at it’s worst!!!

I have been a customer at this branch for about 7 years I believe. I never had any problem with the tellers. All have been helpful and all have been able to explain the reason behind whatever procedure the bank holds as to why certain transaction could not be completed. I was not happy but they were professional and gave me the referral number of where I could call to process the transaction I was looking for. They do have lines, well what bank does not have lines? I don't know of one. Now since covid the workforce is available but also still being balanced to meet the demand of in-person banking. I am happy for the location and they do a good service; the bank has a good philosophy -- no fees based on criteria, which is easily met.Very happy with Santander!
