I think they are ok if you go in person. However, I just tried depositing checks on mobile app and it took literally 15 tries per check to get through. Ridiculous! Please have tech dept for mobile check on it. Seems like something made to be easy isnt at all.

just had the worst experience of my life at Provident Bank in Newton New Jersey they were very rude and could not care less about having me wait nearly two hours to get an answer that they knew already truly a nightmare I suggest that you do not patronize this Bank do not use them under any circumstances there's a lot of other banks that have people working in them that have compassion and consideration for others and not think it's a joke to just leave them wait and ignore them like they're not even there what a joke wonderful Merry Christmas

This is an old school establishment where the staff is relaxed and accommodating. You won't have the flare of big banks but they will get your job done.

Just moved to the neighborhood and wanted to check out local banks-- brought 6 rolls of quarters we found in the move to exchange for cash. Was told I couldn't exchange $ for $ without an account. Nothing more was said or suggested about opening account. I was just told no, it couldn't be done. Had to walk to a bigger bank to make the exchange with no problems (Wells Fargo--just down the street). Local banks struggle because they hold to outdated practices that make things harder for people-- like this. This also serves as a reminder for how difficult it is for individuals without accounts to have an equal footing in this country. That's not us-- our bank serves military families and we will continue with them. What local community are you really serving, Provident? Disappointed in you and will not be going back.

Very nice and friendly staff who value personal relationships with their clients. They didn't even get mad at me when I lost two debit cards in one day and had to have new ones made!

Poor customer service. This is an antiquated bank with procedures that have not been updated for the 21st century. There is always a wait even if there are only a handful of customers.
