Stopped by to ask about an oil change and new spark plugs. He was able to complete it the same morning and advised that the plugs were fine and didn’t have to be changed. Took care of all the tires as far as air pressure and I was pleasantly surprised at the cost. Will definitely be back with my other cars. Great experience!

I brought my car there for work. I found Mark to be very knowledgeable. I have a 2008 jeep Wrangler with a no start problem. I took it to the Jeep dealer first. They replaced the starter. Charged me $800.00. That day my wife and I went food shopping. When we came out to the car with a cart full of groceries the car wouldn't start. Same problem. I called the dealer. They sent a tow truck. They kept my car for 2 weeks. Gave it back to me and said they couldn't find the problem. They said it started every time for them. I picked the car up and 2 days later same problem. I had the car towed to Pica's automotive. Later in the day he called me with the diagnosis. He said it was the Transmission Positioning sensor inside the transmission. He replaced it. Problem solved. I highly recommend this shop. the staff is very courteous. They found a problem that even Jeep them selves couldn't find. And educated me in the process.

I have been using Pica's Auto for many many years. Yesterday's brake job was done in a timely manner. The owner, as always, was upfront regarding what repairs were needed and the cost. Pica's has been, and will continue to be my go to for all my auto repairs.

DO NOT bring your towed car here, unless you want to be scammed by Mark Pica. He is a dishonest mechanic and when you confront him he will make up stories. He keeps bragging about 35+ years of experience, but he has nothing to show for it.
Mark, Disappointed. I respected you as an elderly mechanic but this is not how do business and treat customers. You are just hurting your self and it hurts me that I have to write this review.

The guy there has no clue what he’s doing, and he ripped me off by charging $150 for absolutely nothing. To top it off, they even stole my part! The staff is rude and obnoxious. They overcharge like crazy. I got my car fixed at another shop for half the price. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place.

Came with a battery issue was told to go back home and then over the phone said they ran a a diagnostics ($100) without my approval. Then was advised to change battery, change alternator - with labor overall it all cost me $900+.
Next day called on status because he promised to be done the same day (yesterday) said: ordered wrong part but now will be done in an hour (story doesn’t make sense because how do you have the new part already???)
When came to pick up the car and asked for diagnostic report, said doesn’t have it. When asked how do you know the alternator is faulty, it’s because they ran test (no details). Asked to see the report he said doesn’t have it. Asked for old alternator back said it would cost me $50 extra…
Never had issue with turning on the car, or issue with starter, why he forced me to replace alternator?
He is a scammer, I would ignore.

My daughter has a 2015 Nissan Rogue with h 130000 miles... Runs great... I noticed we had a transmission fluid leak... Took it to a local place in (Dumont, NJ)... I was told that it wasn't worth fixing and I should get rid of the car...
So.... I decided to ask my Father-in-law who lives in Jersey City who he uses since his REALLLLLY old car runs great.
Long story short, I stopped in and met the mechanic and Mark, the owner.... Both are great guys who can patiently explain the situation and not make you feel like an idiot.... The car was done within 4 hours, leak gone, and the price was great.
I HIGHLY recommend this place!!

Picas service center offers honest, efficient, professional and prompt service always. The mechanics are exemplary, they take pride in their work. They take their time and focus on the job at hand and are very proficient. They maintain my two Mercedes 2017 and 2021 and a 2018 Jeep Wrangler.

Brought my Car to Pica’s automotive for a complete Brake job and he did an excellent job and Reasonably priced, Would highly recommend Pica’s automotive if you need auto repairs.

I've had every car I have ever owned serviced and repaired with Picas service center. They have addressed every issue I have ever had. Just had brakes done on my 2008 Expedition. I new the fronts were shot and maybe the rears as well. I asked him to check out both. Mark could have very easily have hit me for the rear breaks but told me they had plenty of life left and only replaced the front pads and rotors as I asked. Didn't charge me for what I didn't need. I appreciated the honesty.
