I have gotten sick from groceries purchased here twice now. Not sure if they're fudging expiration dates, not keeping cold items at the right temperature, or what... but the quality of groceries here is unacceptable. It's also super overpriced, and most the time you have to do self check out because they don't even hire cashiers.

The selection is fine for a small store. The level of service has declined significantly.

I live super close to this grocery store so the convenience is awesome! It's great to only have to walk a few blocks over to get something if I forgot a recipe ingredient. I'm constantly amazed by how this grocery store has a little bit of everything! From bulgar wheat to fresh salmon, you can literally find anything that you need in here. My only qualm is that it is a bit overpriced, but for a last minute need, it's great! Also, shout out the the employees (especially the door greeter), everyone is so nice and so willing to help you find something you need! Just because this grocery store is small doesn't mean it doesn't have what you need hidden in a corner!

Free delivery is awesome after $50.00 especially if you cant travel to do food shopping when weather is not permissable or your limited in traveling. Thank you the gentleman who delivered my food was so helpful and the manager she was so sweet this key food is located at Port Richmond on Staten Island

At this point, it's rare that I come home without at least one moldy item from the produce section. I don't write many reviews, but it's getting to the point that I feel people should be warned. Unfortunately, this is somehow the only nearby grocery store for many people in Downtown.

PROS 1. FRESH Produce! 2. Natural Loose Garlic with the Roots attached. 3. Perdue Chicken is Affordable. 4. Beef Chuck Stew Cuts are The Best cuts better than Shop Rite.. 5. Friendly Staff. Especially, Kirby, he has a bright future in management! 6. Great, Affordable options with Urban Meadow as well. 7. Keyfood's Urban Meadow Honey Nut Cereal is 100% Better than Honey Nut Cheerios. Bigger pieces and lighter crunch. CONS 1. I wish there was more Caribbean brand Grace Products from Jamaica besides Grace Jerk Seasoning. We need Curry Seasoning and Coconut Cream. Also, Spur Tree Oxtail Ready Seasoning is sooo helpful.

Cashier had an attitude and didn't want to bag my groceries. Maybe I should have rung myself up, too... Lazy fuck!

Nice selection of produce and fruit. Good meat and fish selection. Staff is friendly and really on top of COVID rules and regulations. More expensive than big chain grocery stores, but certain products are worth it.

I shopped at Key Food today to mainly get their fresh cold cuts and other items. I bought chicken drumsticks that were not bloody looking very fresh,as well as their pork chops and chop meat. Very quality food. Also after paying I called a cab had to wait 15 minutes they saw I was handicapped and offered me a seating I really appreciate that. One of the cashiers was willing to walk with me outside but I assured her I was find and thanked her for her kindness. Would truly shop here again because they want your business i' m sure but they also treat you with kindness as well.

Place is small and can be a bit difficult to navigate when crowded. However, their produce is always fresh and they have quality items. Place is clean. Average prices. Friendly service. It is difficult to find parking in the area. Bring your own bags! I saw someone commented that it's tacky they charge 10cents a bag for the reusable ones... but uh, hello... all the super markets are doing that

So where do I begin..... this is a very cute supermarket, don't get me wrong. Family owned you can tell. You can find pretty much everything you're looking for. Also the restroom is pretty clean. The market is put together nicely. My reason for taking away four stars is that after you pay for your groceries they charge you 10 cents a plastic bag. Otherwise you'll be carrying your groceries out in your hand. How tacky is that shit??? So either pay for shopping bags that should be free or bring your own.

A neighborhood gem! Not only is the store a manageable size (anyone else get completely overwhelmed in huge supermarkets?) but they cater to everyone with their variety of food. I am vegan and not only do they have more amazing options for me than all the big stores, they also listen to what their customers want. I mentioned I like oat milk coffee creamer -- and then they went and stocked it! Their selection is on par with a good health food store, which we don't really have around here. They also have all the usual options for meat and dairy eaters. I grew up going to a different Key Food in Queens, and still stop by when I am back home -- and believe me, this is not your mother's Key Food! I shop here even though it's not the closest store to me. Love love love this place.

Selection was good and prices were ok. Some items out of stock and upon checkout our cashier was pretty rude. I put my hand basket on the conveyer and she looked at me and told me I needed to take everything out vs her just taking them out and ringing them up.

Deli Station has horrible customer service, is slow and items not really fresh. I went this morning and gave him my order telling him I'd be right back, I will pick up a few other items. When I came back 5min later he was helping another customer and had my order half-finished. I asked him where the rest of my order was and he embarrassingly said it is coming up. hmmm. So the lesson here is staying in front of them and watch them or you will lose your spot. Or just go shopping at rite for deli items.
