Store charges $26 for a 12 pack of Charmin ultra strong. Target is $14. This store is robbing us blind.

I have enjoyed shopping for groceries at the Jersey City location for a few years now, but of late their raw chicken stinks (Think stale meat smell) really bad when cooking. This happens every other week. We have had to toss out our chicken(curry cut, minced chicken) a few times now and sadly, will have to stop buying chicken from there :(The other stuff is never an issue (fruits, veggies etc).

I've lived in Jersey City since college, about 12 years now. I still remember when Key Foods was still called C-Town. I'm so impressed by how much this store has grown. It used to be a couple of shelves back then. Over the years, they have slowly expanded their offerings, turning into a gourmet-feeling store but still keeping a reasonably priced selection. The store is always clean and organized. The produce is always fresh and ripe. They carry so many brands from all over. The most amazing part, they have employed some of the same staff members since I was in college. You can tell the team works extremely hard and is loyal to one another. It's a great feeling every time I shop there.

This is the best supermarket in Jersey City been around forever and one of the first stores to actually sell sea moss gel. They have GoodStuff Health sea moss gel!

Does this have nothing to do with the chain key food market in New York? Why is it the same name? It's very misleading

I have gotten sick from groceries purchased here twice now. Not sure if they're fudging expiration dates, not keeping cold items at the right temperature, or what... but the quality of groceries here is unacceptable. It's also super overpriced, and most the time you have to do self check out because they don't even hire cashiers.

Was here for a UPS package pickup. It was quick and the staff was helpful!

Pros: close and very good hours for locals, will do in a pinch.Cons: on the expensive side for average quality produce and groceries. If you have access to a car, I recommend ShopRite of Hoboken (not Jersey City) for a much wider selection of organic food and groceries but at much lower prices. It is a much larger store and have more choices in just about everything.

Long time resident with some fun history facts newcomers should know: this used to be called C-Town, the back left area used to have a “fresh” meat section in back, and some fish.. generally the entire store smelled a bit like a nasty old market, had highly processed prepackaged foods and no wide selection you see today- where isles are very narrow actually jammed with too much stuff. There was nothing medium to ‘higher’ end you take for granted, nothing healthy or truly fresh without containing pesticides.. all in all a sad, unhealthy experience, though the tiny upside it was less expensive. No wonder some local kids had learning disabilities- seriously, food is brain fuel and that food was poor quality.Locals waited for many years for any other store to open up as an alternative, tried hard to avoid fast food offering like the greasy chicken joint, Burger King near the PATH and eventually the McDonalds opened up, so we would even shop in Manhattan (for good milk, cheese, meats, veg etc) and drag 2 bags home on the PATH, fingers sore from the weight of it all. There were no farmers markets either-a huge positive change. Then Shop-rite was built, with more selection but was a bit far for daily shopping needs, especially for older folks and delivery via cel phone apps wasn’t a thing.Eventually the C-Town owners sold or did a total renovation and the miracle happened, what customers see today (and since 2011/2012 or so) is a near total transformation from what was, and seems only the actual brick guts of the building still exists from the old days. Even the staff is new and frankly, nicer, better pay will do that. All in all a happy evolution, except for the high NYC like prices!Btw If you see a local, old person there on a tight budget shopping (you’ll know if they’re buying only processed cheap unhealthy items), flash a smile and ask them if they accidentally dropped a $20 bill you just found near their basket or cart (hint hint), and insist it’s theirs because you don’t use cash (a white lie), a little way to make their day and offset what they can’t afford perhaps. ❤️
