A small neighborhood store that I really wanted to love but they only have a limited selection and the prices are much higher for the same items in other stores (like fussy friends). The time I visited, my pup was so happy to get a treat (as in all pet stores) but until I paid for an item, he wasnt offered a treat. Probably will stick to the other stores.

Make sure you call them before going here to make sure they’re actually open. I just went down there like 10 minutes after they open, no one was there. I waited around for another 10 minutes because i figured they’re running late, but ended up having to leave because I have a hungry cat at home. I love shopping local, and Hound About Town has good healthy cat food… but it’s definitely frustrating when you’re a busy person to go out of your way to shop here and then just have your time wasted.

I love Hound About Town. They stock Blue Ridge Raw Food for my dog on request, and I can just coordinate with them via text! They answer texts really promptly too which I love, and they helped me find treats for my dog that actually don’t set off his allergies. They stock so much healthy pet food.

Went here at 3pm in the afternoon and found storefront had a sign that they wouldn’t be back until 4:30pm today, was very inconvenient! I don’t know how long the whole entire break was but if it was longer than the hour and a half then that’s even worse.

They always are there to help you get the product you want. Easy return on non food items. They even held a box of treat for my dogs without payment for 2 weeks till I could pick it. Great service!

Cute little pet store hidden near Grove St. I just happened to walk by and stopped in to get some treats for my pup. The employee (Odessa? Don't recall her name exactly) was super sweet and helpful. You will find quality foods and treats for your pet here! Can't wait to return with my little guy.

Love this shop, I have a 100lb dog who went bonkers with excitement when we went inside trying to sniff everything, eat the bones on display, and knocking over treats with his gigantic wiggly butt tail. I was so embarrassed and felt so bad, and the shopkeeper was SO nice and accommodating despite how insane my dog was acting, and even helped me open a treat bag I was purchasing to calm him down while I was checking out. She also recommended the perfect product for an allergy rash he has, we were there earlier today and he hasn't itched at all since we applied the product. They have a huge selection of dog foods, treats and toys despite how small the shop is. Given how small it is inside I may not bring my bull in a china shop dog back with me, but I am definitely going to be a forever customer!

This store is so great, and the staff are amazing! We had run out of dog food after arriving in JC from Austin, where we had used the same local pet store for four years. We bought a similar food to what my dog eats which ended up making him sick. I went to the store and explained the situation. The worker said they would notify the vendor of the lot number in case something was wrong and actually gave us a credit for the value of the food. We are so happy to have found another local pet store in our new home!
