The FAA is a great school. The teachers are amazing and we can see they are a great team working together to develop and improve the school curriculum. each class is less than 12 children. teacher really understan your child and help them to learn. I recommend the school to everyone.

My children have attended FAA for many years. We love the focus on academics, sense of community, and diversity of the school. They provide a rigorous curriculum that challenges and inspires students to reach their full potential. The faculty and staff are highly qualified, passionate, and dedicated, and they work to ensure that each child receives personalized education and care. It provides a unique educational experience that prepares students for success in a global society while instilling values of empathy, compassion, and community. I highly recommend this school to any family looking for a quality education and a supportive learning environment for their children.

My daughter has attended the FAA since it opened in 2013, and she absolutely loves her school. The management team is very approachable, dynamic, and competent. The 3 sections, K/Pre-K, Elementary and Middle School are equally strong and provide children with a top-notch education, with in my opinion a level of cultural exposure and fully bilingual setting you will not find elsewhere. Why should you consider this school? For a French family it is a no-brainer. Half of the teachers come from France bringing with them the culture and teaching philosophy. The level is significantly above that of public schools in France. Even for French parents settled permanently in the US, why deny your child the chance to be completely fluent and be able to communicate in French with grand-parents back home? For American families, the English program is very rigorous, with advanced materials, and children are at no disadvantage vs those attending the best private schools in the area. 8th graders have gone on to some of the best high-schools in NY/NJ. As a bonus you will enjoy being connected with the international community of the FAA. And yes your child will be bilingual.

Our children are both 100% French and 100% American, and we wanted them to have the best of both worlds. I strongly believe the French American Academy is the right place for them to be. The curriculum is ambitious and unique, in a nurturing environment; it's been an exciting journey to follow the Jersey City school progresses and milestones towards much-deserved success! With so many talented teachers and staff, and such an enthusiastic community of parents coming from all around the world, in a city that was recently elected most diverse city in the US, our kids have been thriving there from Day 1.

Hello everyone,Let's start with the conclusion, we recommend without hesitation the French American AcademyAfter 5 years at the FAA and in the United States, we will return to France this summer. When we arrived, our daughter returned to CE2 and is currently in 5eme (7th grade)What results after 5 years? For us, the important criteria were:1- Allow our daughter to become bilingual without falling behind on the French curriculum2- Easy integration and a caring environment3- A high academic level so that you can continue your education in the best possible conditions4- A pleasant geographical location on a daily basis and easy access to Manhattan1-,For the French part,- The school is approved by the National Education- The teachers are French, with French diplomas and have teaching experience in France- The program respects the French programFor the American side,- Finally the equivalent of the French partOur daughter is now bilingual and comfortable in both courses2-Awesome. The numbers per class are half of a class in France. Teachers and school management- Are committed to supporting each student.- Know how to adapt to the personality and level of each.- Also make sure to create a caring environment within the class.Because of this, the high ones flourish and are pulled up.3-At the beginning, we didn't really know how to judge the academic level. In France, we can look at the success rate for the patent and the BAC on the one hand and the establishments have a more or less good reputation. Coming to NYC, we had no idea how to judge. Finally, 2 elements allowed us to reassure ourselves. Each year, students take assessments that compare the level of the school with the American average in general and the average of the best schools in particular. As a result, the FAA has an excellent score in all classesThen, the return of parents whose children enter high school or return to France. They manage to get places in good establishments.4-For this part, being expats, we were delighted to live in Jersey City. It is easy to access Manhattan via a subway (the PATH). Downtown is very well provided with bars, restaurants and other local shops. It is much less noisy than Manhattan. On the financial side, the rents are (a little) lower than Manhattan and there is no income tax at the city level. (The New York City tax has about 2% on your income in addition to the 'classic' income tax)

We are a French family , our kids were at the French school academy for 2 years (now we are going to move to a different country ) .I want any parents to know that the school was absolutely perfect for our kids and for us as parents .The team is doing an amazing job, the teacher and all the staff are really good with kids, not too many student per class , time to know each other, the ambience is really like family. Our kids came with no knowledge about English, they are able to speak now, and my daughter is correcting my French English !I have no word to express my gratitude to the all team. We will miss you a lot

Our daughter will be attending her fourth year at the FAA of JC and we are incredibly thrilled for this privilege of her being in not only a bilingual school, but a school with small class sizes, caring teachers and an overall feeling of a tight-knit community.

Our daughter has been attending FAA during this academic year. We have watched her language skills blossom in French and in English. She is truly happy to go to school, while we are happy to follow her age appropriate and creative curriculum. The teachers have been very caring and amazingly responsive to feedback regarding communication and parental involvement.

Our daughter was at the French American Academy for Pre-K 2 and now she is in Pre-K 3. This school has exceeding a many of my academic expectations and I truly believe that the administration does what is best for the child in all circumstances. The teachers are friendly and approachable and the students are so talented and well-mannered. The school strives to excel in a dual-culture atmosphere and we are so grateful to have our daughter in this school.
