This is specifically a review of the Private Client services at the branch. It is sold as a service where, in addition to perks like refunds of ATM fees, better rates on mortgages, you will have concierge style service as well as investment and wealth management services from JP Morgan. The problem is that these are all actually "off the shelf" services and you must obtain them all through a retail branch. I had a good investment manager who, when he transferred to another branch, I followed. He then moved to a position at JP Morgan. I was told by the Private Client Hotline that I could, in fact, continue to work with him. I was then told by the branch's private client manager that I could not do so. Without authorization, she transferred my account back to this branch and placed me under a manager who failed to do the job, both in terms of carrying out brokerage instructions and addressing my wealth management strategy, which entailed paying down a line of credit before it reached margin. This caused significant losses as well as a period where I had no access to cash. As I tried to address the problem I was told that I had no choice in the matter and had to remain with this "advisor." I was unable to transfer the account to a different bank because the products they offer through Chase are all proprietary funds that cannot be transferred without liquidating and incurring taxes. Essentially, my money was stuck with an advisor that failed to follow instructions and gave bad advice when he gave any advice at all. I only was able to extricate myself from the situation because I indirectly knew an advisor at JP Morgan and was able to move the account over. Beyond the investment, most of the "services" offered result in them telling you call a call center that often gives incorrect information. I was unable to get information on a particular Chase credit card because "we don't offer that through the branch" and told to look it up on the website (I already had and had follow up questions). I had asked about opening a business account but, because my office is located in NYC, was told I had to go to a branch in NYC, rather than having them help set it up. One time I was simply told "call the private client hotline" and referred to three call centers, the last one which said I should speak directly with the account advisor because I had a "full service" account (could have fooled me) that I should deal with. To add final insult to injury, when my account invested in the same funds, was transferred to JP Morgan, I was told months later that the amount in the funds does not count towards the threshold for Private Client services, and without telling me the bank started debiting a monthly "service fee" for services they never provided. I would not recommend using this bank.

Not working. The panel does not respond to any touches.

there is only one box office working there and one transaction takes people. They make people wait too long and they don't care. They don't even care when I tell them to open a second box office. This bank is truly a disaster.

Incredibly rude staff, lately. Used to be way better customer service. I brace myself every time I go.

Apparently short staffed and everyone else walking or standing around in the bank can not help. Told me i could try another branch, when i asked if the could call them to see if they xan see me, was told no one is picking up and that I could try calling myself. PNC and Valley Bank are both l a block away, I opened and moved my account there.

If you are a business account needing service, DO NOT BOTHER WITH THIS BRANCH!!! the manager is too busy opening up everyday checking accounts instead of giving customer service to existing business accounts. I set up an appointment, I was helped by a teller. The teller was nice, not her fault however business accounts need to have their separate division.

If you're banking with Chase in jersey city, ask for Destiny, one of the best and most helpful/resourceful bankers.

Diara, one of the tellers is the absolute worst. Always unpleasant, unfriendly, unhelpful and nasty for no reason. You walk in the branch and her face is devoid of any joy or happiness. She doesn't say hello, just calls out "next person," does your transactions in silence, shoves a receipt at you and then runs off to hide. No thank you for doing business with us, no goodbye, no can I help you with anything else, no have a nice day, no nothing. This girl is a complete disaster. Every other teller I've encountered here has been friendly, personable and fantastic, but since I bank a lot, I occasionally am forced to deal with Diara, and her "service" or lack thereof, is SO bad, that it forces me to give this branch a 1 star rating. I don't get why she's there. Customer service is clearly not her strong point. Diara needs to go, and find a job where she can work somewhere in the back, alone, and away from people.

Was here waiting to open an account for over an hour and a half. Multiple people that came in after me have been seen. Once i was called into the office, i was told that a woman (who arrived approximately 45min after me) would be coming in the office to sign documents quickly before i was taken care of because "she was upset". Very poor customer service. If you're not the type of person to yell at people - as I am not - you will get completely disregarded.

The waiting room was packed. When I finally got to see a banker, Michelle was unable/unwilling to help me with even the simplest of requests for my business. Incredibly unfriendly to boot. I'll be taking my business account elsewhere.

This is one of the worst banks for customer service. Staff is very knowledgeable and overall lovely but the wait is always horrendously long. I dread every visit. Today is more of the same. I've been waiting for 45 minutes with a a host of others. There's not even enough chairs to sit on.
