I used Platt's for an engine replacement. I didn't want a shop that would cut corners just to save a little bit of money to provide the 'cheapest' estimate. The shop also kept us well informed of the progress during the project and also had their top mechanic perform the work.

Writing an honest review as a first time customer not looking to be argumentative or disrespectful. Like everyone else they’re here to make a living and can charge what they desire since it’s their business, but as a customer you should know what to expect and go where you are treated best.
Mesmerized by the great online reviews, digital workflow they use, and the reference from my friend, I was under the impression that it was going to be a great experience from start to finish
The people here are super nice and professional no doubt about it, I have nothing against them personally. They know what they’re talking about and I have no question about the work they do.
But they are going to charge you 200-350 just for the digitalized inspection where they take pictures of your car and tell you what is wrong.
Originally I was expecting to pay around 750 for oil change, inspection estimate, spark plugs changed and ignition coil, which is fair and I was up to do it.
But then after the digital inspection they said my estimate was upwards of 1900. I genuinely was confused where they got the number, and I asked numerous times what the price break down was & was told they can’t send it over the phone.
Immediately told them don’t do any work on my car once I heard the number.
After having my car for 6-7 hours and just doing an inspection/“testing” (that should only take 15-30 minutes tops) they charged me 215 bucks just to look at the car
Look at my car And That’s it. They told me they’re cutting me a break since they initially charge 350 FOR DIGITAL INSPECTION.
I genuinely tried to work with them, the gentleman Erick was a nice guy and again no doubt they’re nice people. But if you’re looking for the most reasonable deal then I wouldn’t recommend this shop.
No doubt they would’ve been able to fix any issue mechanically but you can easily do it for 3-4x the cost.
I know this business responds to reviews often and they know I genuinely tried to give them my business…..but as a customer we have the right to go wherever we feel is best for our needs, this shop was not it.
Take away in a nutshell-
Pros- nice people & definitely know what they’re doing
Cons- overpriced, not transparent with pricing before work is done, will charge you 200-350 to get a “digital inspection” which generally takes them minimal time to do

Super welcoming and friendly. Like, seriously, a really good vibe as soon as i walked in. The small, clearly active front office allowed for a much more personal feel. I felt comfortable with the level of competence apparent in the room and with any dialogue. I had a large job (a series of major maintenance tasks), but I felt comfortable with their explanations of the work. They also guarantee their own work for 3 years, and that says a lot about their dedication to the task. There is no way they could survive as a small business if those warranties were claimed in significant numbers. Ergo, their work is professional and thorough. I live locally, but they also shuttled me back and forth from my home. That's a nice touch. Definitely would return for future auto concerns.

Platt’s Performance Plus performed unnecessary work on my car. Their prices are exorbitant. Until Platt’s Performance Plus reduces its prices, one is better off taking one’s car to a shop with more reasonable prices. Always get a second opinion for any recommendation over $100 from Platt’s Performance Plus.

I took my car in for an oil change. They did a thorough inspection of my car and explained everything clearly. I also needed tires which was easy when I ordered the tires and they installed as soon as they received them the next day. They even printed me out the mail in rebate form. They were very communicative and pleasant to deal with. I would recommend Platts to my anyone in the area for quality maintenance and repairs
