When a friend recommended Murray and Sons for our mother’s move, she said, “Don’t even do any research. I’ve done it and they are the best,” and boy are we glad we did exactly that. Our 2-day move was handled by Jason, Hunter, Rob, Chad and Kevin and all were amazing. They worked non-stop and were unfailingly polite, hard-working - and funny, which on those stressful days was most welcome. Even when we hit an unpleasant and unexpected issue at the delivery end, they rolled with it and got the job done. And the price was fair.
So do as we did: don’t bother with research — just call Murray and Sons and be glad you listened!

The move we had this past week with Murray & Sons was exceptional. Very professional, responsive & courteous!Kevin and Jason went over and beyond managing all aspects of - the packing, keeping track of parts, taking down and installing a 7ft grand piano, beds, being careful with fragile items, and making sure everything is placed properly during and before finishing.We've used different companies in the past, but this was by far the best experience with a moving company. Very flexible with last minute preferences for furniture placement, and all the guys were extremely polite...no attitude issues you sometimes see with contractors. I would not hesitate to recommend Murray & Sons to anyone looking for a mover. I am so glad they were referred to us! (and no, I am not a relative or staff member of the company - just a very pleased end customer!)

This was the second time we used Henry (Murray). The first was a local Jersey move. This one was to Florida. The price was very fair with no horror story surprises at the end. Henry had to deal with Hurricane Ian and fought through to get us our belongings. Highly recommended.

Wonderful experience with my move from New Jersey to Port St Lucie. They arrived on time the day of the move. They packed our mirrors and paintings and some very expensive pieces. Everything was handled in a very professional manner. When they arrived on delivery day they even removed some very heavy pieces of furniture that were left at the house into the garage without charge. All furniture was unpacked and placed into the house and put together. The estimate was right on target and we couldn't be happier. Thank you Murrey and sons.

Highly recommend. Very detailed. Correspondence was simple and made my family and I feel at ease. Had a long distance move and everything was delivered exactly as planned and on time. Would use again.

We received the quote.The day of the moveThe price went upBy hundreds of dollarsAnd yet there was less stuff that we were originally quoted on.Because some stuff we gave awayAnd we had somebody else with a truck bring stuff down.Murry & son left stuff behind and broke12 itemsAnd stuff was missing.Do your self a favor don't use them.

Could not recommend these movers LESS. They did a horrible job!Several pieces of furniture arrived damaged significantly, and they took literally months to be able to spend the time to come to look at it, and were too concerned with making money from new customers to take care of ones that had problems they caused.They also couldn't be bothered to read very clear labels on boxes. Boxes marked kitchen or living room ended up in the garage! Very lazily stocked items in a nonsensical and inconsiderate way, like putting fragile ornaments under heavier boxes.Do yourself a favor and find a better mover. Definitely was not worth $2,000 for such a sloppy job.Ignore the positive reviews on here. Not reliable.

After not showing up for an appointment the owner reached out to me several hours later and claimed he was having phone issues but texted me from that phone. I explained my husband took 1/2 day from work to be home for the estimate appointment. He never offered an apology but instead said one of his sons would reach out to me for an estimate appointment. I intern said I would call them, he said “no, we will call you”. Two weeks later I finally get a return phone call to schedule an appointment. We had since found a very professional mover.

Jason, Craig, Spencer and David were great. On time and it was an extremely hot day.and they finished the job in less time than estimated. Customer service was very nice. I'd use them again.

The guy that put my bed together obviously had no idea how to handle a screwdriver. He put about a dozen or so noticeable nicks in the top of my bed frame. A few will probably need wood filler because they are so deep. The owner of the company told me to send pictures. That was over a week ago & I still haven't heard back from him. No reply to my text a few days ago. I will try to call again today. This company does lousy work & doesn't stand behind their blunders

Moving out of state is stressful enough so to have a company who is unresponsive and completely aloof when you call to ask questions in unacceptable. No one, including Henry or Fran (who I spoke to to move a date around) explained that moving a date 4 days would add an additional week and a half to my window of delivery. My delivery window went from one week to 2.5 weeks and Henry has no intentions of leaving NJ for yet another week. To say that Henry is completely unphased that he told me he’d be leaving on Thursday but didn’t have his calandra so he was just unable to give me the date in unacceptable, so when he said Thursday he wasn’t mentioning the upcoming Thursday, he meant TWO Thursdays from now. Poor communication on everyone’s part. Absolutely would not recommend. The only time I got a new/updated delivery date was when the driver handed me an inventory list after all my things were packed on the truck. Dealing with a company who doesn’t care.

Henry (the owner) and his team were wonderful! They made my experience so easy when I was completely stressed moving out-of-state. To watch Dave and John carry out pieces of furniture and/or boxes on their backs was incredible! Henry guided me on what to do/what not to do, and as the guys moved my pieces to the truck, Henry inventoried and marked every single item. I couldn't have been MORE PLEASED to use this company for my moving needs. They are honest, caring and professional! Thanks to the team who moved me from NJ to NC - I wouldn't hesitate to refer you one bit! I couldn't have done it without you!

I recently used Murry & Co. for an out of state move. The entire experience was flawless from the in home estimate through the delivery. They were honest and meticulous, on schedule practically to the minute. My belongings were delivered without a scratch and assembled perfectly. I would not hesitate to use them again and have absolutely no reservations recommending them to friends and family. First class act.
