I have been getting my hair done at Mel's Probraids since 2021, and I have never been disappointed with my the end result of my hair style. Service is professional and timely. Price is affordable. Staff is very friendly, warm, and welcoming! I highly recommend this braiding shop as the staff is very versatile in their skills and abilities!

If you don't know how to do a style than say so don't experiment on my hair!!!!!!! I made my appointment a week in advance to get passion twist I asked what kind of hair to get I was told freetress. The day of my appointment I called to confirm what kind of hair I was told freetress again. The owner Mel started my hair and asked 2 girls to do it they both said they didn't want to do it because of the hair the owner TOLD me to buy...The Mel than said nobody like this hair because it's not smooth as the other brand. I didn't say anything but I was thinking (this is what you told me to buy). She said next time buy the hair off Amazon I said what brand she said she don't know the brand. Wth!!!!!! One of the girls ask to do my hair did and it was a horrible job. I took it out the next day. The owner and the girl who did my hair told me it not going to last long as the took my $180. It was more to my horrible experience but I don't feel like typing it. I had 3 different twist in my hair. 4 different size. Here pictures from right after. Go to Victoria braids in union she expensive but you will be happy after. I don't like writing bad review but this pissed me off.

Absolutely loved my braids, didn't take as long as I thought they would. Loved talking to the owner as she did my hair. Some areas were a little too tight but I have a super sensitive scalp so I don't blame her. Can't wait to go back for another style!

Coming from a person who lived in Los Angeles, and needed someone to braid my hair, and now that I've moved to New Jersey, this is the best place! Really great quality, they do an excellent job. Great atmosphere, the only downside is that it's not in the greatest area so it's kind of unsafe but It's worth the risk. Lol they also have great prices! And they do a really, really great job!

I would give zero stars if I could this the worst hair salon in nj the hair dressers are rude and aggressive and the hair style don't even last a week don't waste your time and hard earned money like I did!!!!!
