Extremely friendly staff! They are very timely to notify me of any issues such as medications not available due to ongoing shortages or certain medications not being covered by my insurer. They know me by voice anytime I call, and I highly recommend them!

Pharmacy service at this store is tremendous. People are very nice and go out their way to help. I would give 10 stars I could.

On Friday, 7/2/21 I went to this store to look for some pork bellies. They did not have any on the bins, so I went to the butcher's area to ask if they had any. I knocked on the door and one of the butchers came to talk to me. I opened the door about 5 inches to facilitate conversation and while it was open, the Meat Manager, Paul came and berated me for keeping the door open a little. He did it 3 times and I got upset, because next to the door to the butcher's area is a large open window, open to the store, probably 10 times larger in opening compared to the area on the door I kept open by 5 inches. The loss of cold air from the large window is probably 20 times greater than the loss from the door I kept ajar. Being a retired engineer, and having managed large departments, I do not think being berated by someone for an unwarranted problem is deserved. The only reason I had the door open is to facilitate conversation. I cannot carry on a conversation if I did not keep the door ajar. Having an open area that constantly allows cold air to travel from the butcher's area to the rest of the store should be taken into account and Paul the Meat ManagerMUST TREAT CUSTOMERS in a respectful and professional manner. He is surely bereft of any concept of good customer relations. I recommend added training in how to treat customer respectfully. How he can treat a customer this way is beyond all sense of good management practice. if anyone wants to talk to me about this I can be reached at 732-757-1034. Nestor M.

We bought chicken cutlets and boneless skinless chicken breasts that when cooked had the consistency of rubber. Disgusting. What is Shoprite doing to its chicken??????? My neighbors told me they had similar experiences. Chew and choke. Waste of time and money.

Just bought some grilled chicken breast from their food counter. Their chicken is loaded with fat and it is very chewy. Rubber feeling and cheap. I buy grilled chicken breast from several places and what I got tonight is a representation of a deli manager (and workers) that don't bother trimming ANY of the fat off the chicken. It takes just a few seconds to properly clean chicken, and if they can't even get that right than why am I shopping there? So, Mr. Manager, If you care at all about online reviews, explain to your deli staff how to trim the fat off of your grilled chicken. And bump up the grade a few notches - your chicken tastes like cheap, processed rubber with fat running throughout it!

I don't come to this shoprite as I live a little far and have another shoprite closer to me. I came in last week to buy flowers. Normally, fresh flowers would last weeks for me with a few water changes and trims along the way but literally the next day, the blue hydrangeas wilted and began changing color so I had to toss those. A day or two later, the yellow daisies (?) lost their petals and that left me with some lilies that lasted a full week. Normally I can make lilies last a couple weeks especially when some of them come closed. These opened and lasted a couple of days. Horrible flowers! I didn't bother taking in the dead flowers nor did I keep the receipt but a week later I did call to let them know. Spoke to the manager of the floral department who basically said I should have just trimmed the dead hydrangeas. Umm what? Offered nothing to make this right other than a half hearted apology.

There is a blatent disregard for anyone's safty in the Howell Shoprite. There are no social distance markings nor aisle one way directions. The aisles are jammed and the store is definately over crowded. I've been going to the stop and shop and this was my first time at shoprite. I'm going to call Howell Township. They are a public health hazard given covid19. I also noticed that large crates of restocking were crowding and blocking the aisles. The only thing that let's you know there is a pandemic is the fact that people are wearing masks. THE SHOPRITE OWNERS SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE.

I'm probably not the best person to review a supermarket but I'll give it a shot. My wife likes to come here because the supermarkets closer to our house are either filthy or pricy... or both. This store is pretty clean and the people working here are very friendly and helpful. The times I've been here, the shelves have been full and the prices are competitive. The parking lot is a bit sketchy but if you need some food, this is a clean, fairly priced place to pick some groceries.

This Shoprite has a fantastic bakery and prepared food section. For a recent family birthday, I bought a cheesecake topped with fresh raspberries and sweet glaze. It was delicious and looked beautiful for the party. Their deserts are decorated nicely and there is a wide variety of choices, depending on what you are looking for. I enjoy shopping at this location, as they have so many excellent selections to choose from. Not only is the bakery amazing, but their produce and meat departments are also very extensive. On the other hand, I have not had the greatest experiences with the staff here. I think that due to the large volume of customers, they are under a lot of pressure, and most of the staff seems disorganized and confused. The customer service/lottery desk is poorly run with older, angry workers that can't seem to handle a crowd. If I am asking for a certain product, it takes a long wait and multiple people to find an item. They may be understaffed which is worth noting. The checkout lines are very long and the experience of shopping here overall takes a long time. However, if you find that these specific factors are of no concern, you will walk away with some great groceries, and custom made orders. This particular Shoprite in Howell has probably the best food selection in Ocean and Monmouth counties, so do check it out if you are in the area.

I would just like to say that this ShopRite has absolutely the nicest people working in it. I've been going multiple times a week now (because I'm a maniac) for 3 years and the only poor experiences I've had has been because of the customers. They have the best girls working behind the premade counters who are always eager to help and pretty much all the cashiers I've ever had fly through the scanning like they're competing. Always a pleasure thanks for hiring capable people, because certainly not everywhere does

Sitting in bumper to bumper traffic on Tuesday evening, I reflected on my busy day of exams. I am a nursing student who has very little extra time and very little extra brain to remember any additional information, including my own grandmothers birthday. In a panic, I attempted to search for one of those trendy bakery's, I figured an extravagant cupcake could definitely simulate a well thought out gift. As I got closer to home, I gave up and decided I would just goto Howell's Shop Rite. I assumed I would get her something basic and spice it up with a card and a balloon. To my surprise, their bakery was exceptional. The girl working the bakery, Victoria, was helpful, kind and patient. She answered my questions and assisted in picking out these three lavish spectacles. My nanny and the rest of the family were amazed and satisfied. Safe to say, I will be back.

Are they running a supermarket or an obstacle course? Entry into the Howell Shop Rite requires pinpoint navigation as you immediately encounter an obscenely large customer service counter that almost completely envelops the first check-out lane. Just hope there isn't an animated customer arguing a four cent differential on their Chunky Soup or you'll never get through. Just for grins avoid the bottleneck and take the scenic route past the bakery and floral departments and just follow the gnats to the organic tomatoes (no joke, their produce is horrendous.) Once clear of those obstacles you can expect a retail minefield of huge mid and end-aisle displays that choke entry or egress to any point in the store.. Where's the butter? Hang a right at the pallets of 65 inch flat screens, pass the 8 foot high pile of Cambodian bath towels, squeeze through the tiny aperture between 8,000 liters of Diet Coke and skyscrapers of store-brand Rigatoni and you're almost halfway home. Maybe the butter wasn't really necessary - but the barrels of beach balls and counterfeit Frozen collectibles that make up the queue for check-out are certainly must haves as are the pantry of day old flounder and cupcakes that make the express lanes a veritable circus. Please come to Shop Rite in Howell and don't forget your GPS.
