Symposia Community Bookstore is a nonprofit thrift shop and community center in Hoboken. It is an absolute favorite and a little slice of Heaven, described as a great place, a local gem, and a must-go. The store offers a great selection of books for all readers at very reasonable prices. It is a great community place with a wide variety of events, including puppet shows for kids, open mics, discussion groups, and occasional parties. The friendly, helpful, kind, and personable volunteers create a great community environment.

My absolute favorite second-hand bookstore I’ve been to! They have shows for the little ones and I always spy a book or two for me. Such a great place to spend a few minutes or even an hour!

Symposia is a little slice of Heaven in Hoboken. Great selection of books for all readers. Great community events and very reasonable prices for everything. Carmen is a wonderful manager and her staff of volunteers are very helpful and kind.
