There’s this guy with a ponytail that works in the front desk that was rude and unprofessional. My friend was looking for a new gym to join so he decided to sign up for the free pass that they offer online to check out the gym. When my friend tried to use this free pass, the front desk guy asked him if he’s already signed up at a gym, my friend said yes but before my friend could finish his sentence, ponytail guy cuts him off and tells him that he won’t let him in because he told him that he is already signed up at another different gym. My friend tried to clarify that he was currently attending Downtown Crunch but was searching for a gym closer to home. However, the front desk guy continued to talk over him and displayed a poor attitude throughout the interaction. We attempted to explain that my friend had never visited a NYSC before and that the website did not mention any restrictions on using the free pass if one is already a member of another gym.
I have been a member of this gym for nearly two years, but I decided to cancel my membership that night due to the behavior of the front desk staff. When I went to cancel, the staff member didn't even ask why I was leaving; instead, he falsely recorded "no time" as the reason for my cancellation on the form.

I don’t know when the reviews are poor. I started going here a month ago. Gym gets a bit crowded but they have a good amount of space. Things are clean, and they have a lot of machines and options for free weights. Wish they had a lateral raise machine, and pendulum squat but they have pretty much everything you’ll need.

Thanks to Aris Martinez and NY Sports Club for helping me in my training journey. I highly recommend Aris! He is very knowledgeable and helped me improve both my strength and endurance. Each time Aris changed up the routines to help build muscle and agility. Aris is a pro at knowing which equipment , which exercise and which routine would lead to great results.

The gym is clean, has new equipment, an friendly atmosphere and knowledgeable staff. Pauly is a great trainer. He is patient, motivating and very knowledgeable. I would recommend NYSC to friends and family.

Chase is my personal trainer at NYSC in Hoboken and he is the best! He made me feel comfortable and knows just how far to push me.

Terrible Staff- When I first signed up everyone was kind and nice, only to find out the information that had been giving us has been false and not true at all.
Terrible Manager- When I was trying to clear things up with the manager, the minute I got on the phone he had an attitude and chose to disregard everything we said. He was very rude and did not even try to understand the situation. Definitely need a new General Manager because whoever the GM was is not a people person at all.
Overly Subscribed- This place is way too packed and way too small. Around 5pm-9pm there is a horde of people at every machine/bench. It is almost impossible to get a workout done because of how many people are occupying a single machine.

DO NOT COME HERE. Went in to check out the gym and was told the student monthly is 45/month + tax and was NON-Renewable. It’s now the next month and my account has already been charged(keep in mind I was told it was non renewable). I call them up and ask why it’s happened the GM was rude and came at me with an attitude and told me that I was in the wrong but I was clearly told by one of the employees that showed me around it was 45/month non renewable. DO NOT COME HERE SAVE YOUR MONEY. THEY WILL MISINFORM YOU.

Towel service was discontinued during the COVID-19 Pandemic, but should be brought back.
Otherwise, I’m liking the recent equipment and aesthetic upgrades! I also really like how new (4x total) barbell racks have been installed.
Looking forward to the locker room upgrades!

I love nysc I get too get a good workout and everybody is so friendly I get to used any equipment I feel so good when I'm there

I wish there were towels available to use on the gym floor but otherwise the gym experience has been pretty good.
