Great community of people and so much motivation to keep moving. Coaches are top notch and will teach you everything you need to know, get fit AF, amd prevent injury. Absolutely love this place.

Life changing. This is a special place to me that goes beyond just a gym and completely turned my life around. Very happy to have found this gym when I moved to Hoboken. Within one year I dropped 20 pounds and 4" off my waist. And my purpose was never weight loss - just to get exercise. This community is fantastic and not your typical meathead place. Everyone people come from all walks of life - while this may sound cliché, it has become my family.

I've been going here for a couple months now and it's hands down the best gym I've ever been to. The staff and other members are as friendly as they come and Coach Bobby does an excellent job with programming.

Have you ever walked into an establishment (or in my case on to a field) and immediately had that feeling of, this is going to be one of the best decisions I am about to make in my life? Well, that's how I felt during my first class at HRA. My favorite thing about this gym is the community and diversity of its members. After moving back to the area on March 1, 2020 and having the whole world shut down soon after, I was at a loss for community. However, a few months later I was fortunate enough to get connected into HRA because they were on top of their game with Hoboken to get things going in a safe way. They have 3 main types of classes offered: WOD's (CrossFit workouts), RPM (strength and conditioning), and yoga. All of the coaches all have their own flavor and approach and teach with heart, passion, but most of all expertise. This is the first gym I have been to that I do not feel that I have to avoid "that" coach. If you are searching for a gym that is doing things the RIGHT way, and I am not just talking about working out safely during a pandemic, I am also talking about focus on form, positivity, and taking care of one another, this is your gym. From events such as Hero WOD's at a Jersey Farm to raise money for 31 Hero's, to decorating the gym for the holidays, this truly is a special place. If you choose to drop in and try a class, come over and say hi if you see me. That's just what we do!

I truly enjoy their RPM class. It has the right mix of weights and cardio. The people are really fun. The owner supervises the workouts and provides pointers on perfect form. A key thing to remain injury free.

Hudson River is the best gym AND community in Hoboken! They continue to evolve, providing the best atmosphere and workout to everyone that walks through their doors. I started my crossfit journey with Hudson River, continued through my first pregnancy and unfortunately had to say goodbye for good when I moved out of state. But I'll be back for a drop in on future visits to Hoboken!

Hudson River Athletics (HRA) is amazing. The coaches helped me lose 60 pounds and completely transform my body. At 38 years old, I am in the best shape of my life, except for maybe that one season I ran cross country in high school. Before joining HRA I had honestly forgotten what feeling fit was like. It had been years since I took my fitness seriously. I thought it was fine to be out of breath walking up the stairs and to feel tired a lot of the time. Not anymore. Now, I feel better overall and I have more energy. I look forward to every opportunity that I have to get into HRA to workout. The coaches are fantastic. It’s easy, all you have to do is show up and you will see results. I don’t have enough good things to say about Jay and his staff.

Actually speaking, I’m not a sportsman at all, but according to some health problem, I visit gym. You know, I’ve chosen Hudson River Athletics, because of its comfortable location, professional trainers and schedule. The gym is opened from early morning (6:15 a/m), you just could do sport and then go to your job. After one visit I’ve bought an abonnement for 3 months. Very calm atmosphere, - all you need after a bad and hard day. I met there very cool people.

I'm very particular about programming that is purposeful and very thought out. Compared to the other CrossFit gym in Hoboken, this place is definitely the best. The community is by far the most lively and accepting, and the training is superb. Would recommend 100% for anyone who is interested in CrossFit.

Wow! So October marks two years that I've been doing Crossfit and what I have to say is that the coaches at Hudson River CrossFit are fantastic! Every class feels like I'm getting a private lesson. They are super knowledgeable, attentive and give their hearts and souls to the “family.†What a community too! These guys are friends for life! Ready to kill it and be the most encouraging group of people on the planet. So glad I was able to build friendships and amazing memories these past two years. I've grown and learned so much! I am not the same athlete I was when I walked in. Twerking squats? Not any more! If you are looking for a place to decompress after a stressful day at work, look no further! They will take you out of your comfort zone and stir up a passion for fitness and exercise like you have never had before. I look forward to it every day! Thank you so much for taking me to the next level! I leave here better, stronger and happier.

Can't say enough about this gym, especially the coaches and members. I've never received so much 1:1 attention from coaches/trainers. However, its not just about the amount of attention I get from them, but the quality of their feedback which is extremely specific and clearly tailored to my progress. In addition, the members here are the best. The gym is too small/civilized for cliques so everyone is cool with everyone from the newest member to the most experienced athlete. I also love that members are constantly socializing outside the gym from hiking, skiing, trips into the city, etc. making my crossfit experience more than just a gym.

Cannot say enough, such an incredible box!!! I have worked out at several boxes over the years and this one won me over immediately. You could not ask for more passionate and caring coaches. From the moment my wife and I walked in we felt comfortable and relaxed, so much so that we bring our 9 month daughter with us every time we come. What is more surprising and rare is that they actually play with her and encourage us to bring her with us to ensure we get the best workout possible! The programing is intentional and well thought out and really pushes us to our limits physically and mentally. Love these guys - see ya tomorrow!

Out of the many CrossFit gyms I have belonged to or visited, Hudson River CrossFit is by far the best! I've been a member since they opened and couldn't be happier! The coaches are great! They are all so knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. The community is amazing. From day one I felt totally welcomed and comfortable, which is a major factor for me since I tend to be a little shy at first. HRCF has become my happy place and I would recommend it to anyone in a heartbeat!
