I can't speak highly enough of the childcare staff at AIL. My toddler has been through three age groups / rooms here and the teachers have all been amazing. Recently my younger baby joined, and the team have just been so good helping him settle in and communicate back with us. Overall, highly recommend!

Ms. Charlene in the AIL school aftercare program is doing.a wonderful job with the afterschool activities. She regularly creates projects that involve art, science, even teaching the kids some history. She also organizes physical activities and games to keep them engaged and active. Her care is much appreciated.

AIL took care of our son when he was in his infancy (Cubs 2). Ms Lissa and Ms Miguelina are so warm and loving. Our son always smiled when he saw them! We especially loved all the pictures and videos that AIL sends each day. We really felt connected to our infant despite our hectic work schedules. We highly recommend AIL. Thank you for taking such good care of our son!

I am so happy with AIL. The teachers and admin are so incredibly caring and loving. My two daughters love going to school. I would read reviews like this and think "how can a baby express love for something?" She is 14 months now and literally tries to jump out of her stroller when she sees her two teachers, other people - stranger danger. My older daughter, almost 3, runs to school, is so excited to tell me what she's learned during the day. They come back knowing so much, are so engaged and even if I could keep them at home I know AIL is better for their social, emotional and mental development than what I could ever provide. Thank you AIL <3

My son attended AIL1 right when Covid allowed day cards to open up after lockdown. The safety procedures and protocols set in place made me feel confident to leave my son there , worry free. The staff was very attentive to my son’s needs and treated him as he was their own. The owner Wanda frequently popped in to say hello to both parents and students and Ms. Millie, the manager, was always making sure the day to day operation was running smoothly. The teachers collectively were amazing! Lunch is provided as well as snack, I was informed of my son’s progress everyday AND a monthly newsletter regarding what’s next was promptly sent at the start of each new journey! The summer program w swim classes and trips was second to none. I HIGHLY recommend this daycare for ALL of your children… I wish I had more to send to them ?

As a first time mom it is so hard to drop your baby off someplace. However, sending our son to AIL quickly became our best decision ever. There is such a sense of community at this day care. We made great friends, my son begged to go to school every morning and he thrived socially. The staff is so loving and after 4 years he was very prepared for Pre K 4. Thanks Millie, Wanda and all the awesome teachers!

I was at the turtle back zoo when this facility was having a field trip the same day. There were ropes with loops on them.. one teacher was at the front of the rope and one teacher at the end... the small children (2-3yr olds?) had their wrists in the loops to stay together. This woman was the head of the rope, stopped and turned back and screamed at the children “WALK FASTER, KEEP UP WITH ME!!!’ Then proceeded to yank the rope HARD, jolting all 10 children forward almost knocking them over to the pavement ground. It was absolutely disgusting to see. All those children could have been seriously injured. I confronted the woman becuase I was so upset and she told me to mind my own business. I called the facility because they had the business on their shirts. I explained what happened and I was told it would be passed along. Not long after someone (director?) called me and said it was being handled and would continue to be handled. I later passed the woman and she was now at the end of the rope instead of the head of it.. I applauded the facility for addressing it but in no way shape or form should this woman be caring for children. If my daughter attended here I would be removing her immediately until this woman was removed.***EDIT** to respond to your response...1.) I never once told your facility I worked at the zoo, in fact when I spoke with the woman who called me back I told her I was at the zoo with my 2 year old, sister and her children. Not sure why I would have my child with me if this was my place of work...2.) My caller ID came up as Ashley because I used my sisters phone and her name is Ashley, my name is Amy, as i told your facility and as you can see here on my Google account.

We had an amazing experience at AIL Hoboken. The teachers are loving and kind. They always kept me up to date and always welcomed my son with open arms.

What can I say about Adventures in Learning. They have been the home away from home for my two kids since they were 18 months. They have gone above and beyond to make them feel welcomed, comfortable, happy and they have learn so much! It is amazing. All the teachers we had over the year have been terrific, my kids really loved them and have made bonds with them that have lasted far after my oldest left AIL to go to elementary school. Ms. Wanda, the director, really knows what she is doing and I have never met anyone more committed to the children and their families. We feel like AIL is part of our family and we'll be terribly sad once our youngest "graduates" to Kindergarten.

My baby started in the infant room at 4 months old. We just moved out of Hoboken last week when she was 8 months old. I can't speak highly enough about our experience with AIL and Ms. Carmen (who runs the infant room.) The women who worked in our daughter's room genuinely loved her as much as we do. Ms. Carmen actually cried on our baby's last day which definitely made me cry! They made her a card with messages from all of the teachers in the baby's room. It was just the sweetest thing ever. I am a full time working mom and leaving my baby in the care of strangers was so hard. It took less than a week for me to feel comfortable (and honestly even happy) with leaving our daughter there. She would smile ear to ear when she saw Ms. Carmen every morning and jumped out of my arms into hers. I never had a single issue with the care they provided. It felt like I was leaving her with family. If you're looking for a safe and warm place to leave your baby...this is it!

I cannot say enough positive things about AIL!! The teachers are wonderful and I feel like they truly care about my child, and I see them treating all of the children with warmth and care. The staff have always listened and been attentive to any question or concern I may have had, patiently working together with me. It's always hard to leave your child, but I have always felt safe, secure and happy as a parent (and most importantly my little one is happy). I would highly recommend Adventures in Learning to others!

Wanted to share my experience for those moms who may be looking at different daycare options. I visited Adventures in Learning uptown in May to discuss registration of my son who was born in June. At that time, I was told spaces for a 10/30 start date was filling up quickly so it created a sense of urgency even though the date was so far out. I told the girl at the daycare that I may be moving out of the area and whether the deposit (first months tuition about $2k) could potentially be returned if that was the case. She told me it shouldn't be an issue as long as I make them aware of it early enough to fill his spot. I reached out early August in order to give them plenty of time to fill the spot and to notify them that he wouldn't be attending due to the fact we would be leaving town shortly after and was told the deposit is non refundable no matter what one of their employees told me. So basically I'm out $2k due to a mistake one of their employees made, which was the decision even after escalating to the manager. I have no idea how the daycare is in terms of treating and dealing with the kids, but thought this was wrong and wanted to notify others so no one else is taken advantage of. Happy my son is no longer going there as I don't want him in the care of people who treat potential customers this way.

I came to realise when I had to put my son in daycare when he was around 17 months old, that nowhere is exactly what you envision in your head, nowhere is absolutely perfect, and nowhere is the same as at home with you (not always a bad thing!). Having found AILII, I knew from the moment I met Jocelyn, who runs admissions, that it was the right place for us. The warmth that radiates from each and every staff member is evident, the love, nurture and patience too (we had a six month period of our son refusing to use the toilet at daycare, and the staff worked so hard with us to stay on top of things) - at such a young age, these are the things we wanted for our son. Not only are these qualities showered upon the children in abundance, they are also taught so much by the wonderful teachers and staff - sociability, eating habits (I love that the children sit at real tables with real chairs, as they learn how to sit properly and eat at the table, and not those group high chairs where they are tucked/caged in), maths, phonics, science and more! Our son has loved learning with everyone and has come a long way since starting! The daycare is always spotlessly clean too, which speaks volumes. Does this daycare currently have cameras in every room so you can watch your kids? No! Does it have a state of the art facility? No! But ask yourself what you're really looking for! As a fussy person, and somewhat of a control freak when it comes to my kids (and generally in life!), I am so pleased to have found AILII and am beyond sad to be leaving as we are moving from the area. I will always hold my son's first school experience dear to my heart and will never forget all the wonderful staff and families we have met. This daycare has been so wonderful for us and to us, and we hope you enjoy it in the same way we have!

I can truly recommend Adventures in Learning to any parent! My older daughter started going there in 2011 when their new downtown location opened up. We have nothing but positive experiences. She attended for two years and always loved going to "school". The teachers are very loving and caring with the kids. You will notice the welcoming atmosphere the minute you walk in! I have known many families in the downtown and also in the uptown location. Many of our friends had their kids in the center. And when it was time for my little daughter to go to daycare, we really wanted her to be part of the Adventures in Learning family as well. We were lucky to get a space for her and received a big welcome back! There is not a day that my little one is unhappy to go to "school", she always looks forward to seeing her friends and teachers. What also makes this daycare so different from some of the others in Hoboken is that it doesn't belong to a chain. Trust me, I know what I am talking about! I had my older daughter attend another daycare before AIL opened up. I cancelled my contract there after exactly three weeks because it was terrible! Privately owned makes such a big difference. The owner, Wanda, is wonderful and can always be reached. She manages her centers fantastically and will always listen to any concerns you may have and find flexible solutions for you where needed.

Adventures in Learning is a wonderful group of students and teachers. Our 2.5 year old has been here since he was six months old and he always looks forward to going to "school" every morning.
