Dr. Gannon and the front desk staff are amazing! Thanks to Lauren, Gina and Dr. Gannon today. We adopted our third little guy and they were so kind, warm and patient! Dr. Gannon always listens to every single question and is soLoving to our little guys. I always leave feeling better and all of our dogs LOVE her. I don’t know what we would have done without her today! Thank you for all you do for us, Dr. Gannon! And Lauren thank you for getting us in. We are so thankful and grateful to have you here in town for our fur babies.

Sadly after being a client for 3 years having nothing but positive experiences, I decided to switch after our last visit. It was just a sick visit, they quoted me at $1,700 for a minor illness. I refused most of the services they recommended and knocked it down to $225. Then I went to Allendale where they only charged me $192.The staff was also rude and had a noticeable change in attitude. So far, Allendale Veterinary Hospital has been great and I will be going to them from now on.UPDATE (Replying to their comment): You had your opportunity when I sent you TWO emails about this that went ignored. Funny how it only caught your attention now. This could have been handled privately but you missed your chance ;)

has absolutely changed (not for the better) over the past year or so. used to be very caring and attentive staff however now seem to have outsourced customer care who outright refuse to see existing pet clients even in emergency situations. unacceptable and heartless. we will be changing vets and urge others to do the same pro-actively so they do not find themselves in a similar situation.

Zero stars is probably too generous. I had an appointment today for 8:40 am ( they actually emailed me to come early, which I did), and for over five hours, my dog was kept waiting in a cage with no update or notification on the delayed status of her procedure, which is badly needed. After five hours, I went to the “hospital” to check in, and still could not get an update. I quickly retrieved my dog, who was so thirsty and in such need to relieve herself. I was amazed by the complete apathy of the staff and their utter failure to notify me or at least reschedule. Very disgusted!! I am done with this place!

This place is having some real issues- I think all but one of the vets has left and the remaining one is out on leave so currently being staffed by temporary vets.

Sad day. After almost 30 years of bringing my family's dogs to what was Ho Ho Kus vet, now some big business animal hospital, finally had to leave. Loved going to Mark for many years and how well he and staff not only treated the dogs but us as well. I'm going to miss the Vets, they were great, but as a whole the place is an absolute wreck after they sold out. Was just told "sometime in November" for a yearly wellness exam. 8 weeks. Another local vet is seeing me tomorrow. Their hours are terrible. Close at 5pm? How do people that work take their animals to an apt? No longer allowing external ordering of prescriptions and charging much much more to fulfill themselves. Just a number of reasons I have to cut ties. Hopefully we have a decent experience at the new vet, but just bummed we have to leave one we've been going to for so long. Can't wait to get the automated response to leave a review lol. Shows you how much VCA really cares.

zero stars-I have brought my pet only one time to this place and NEVER again. They are backed up for appointments for months. When it came time for my appointment it was getting my pet a checkup and a nail trimming. I called in advance that I will be running a few minutes late (10 minutes at most) due to getting my pet secured in the cage. They didn’t care whatsoever and told me I would need ANOTHER appointment with an available appointment over a week later. I call them back five minutes later after getting my pet in her cage successfully and would be five minutes away to them. They still didn’t care and said you missed your appointment (after fully communicating and being completely reasonable with them). This company makes me sick and are greedy money driven hogs. They have zero care and understanding and if they don’t show that upfront why would you trust them with your pet? Please for your own sake don’t trust this place taking care of your pets.

Our family has taken all of our pets here for 15+ years but sometime post covid there must have been a change in management. Its impossible to make appointments, there’s no emergency services or assistance in attaining urgent care, and a complete lack in compassion. Last time I was there was when they canceled my appointment after 3 months of waiting and only offered one 3 weeks later. The lack of attention to longtime patients shows they’re just trying to profit by taking on too much work instead of providing care.

It is obvious HH Vet has changed ownership or management. They are now more concerned with turning a profit then in the interest of your pet. As you look at the reviews over the past 6 months their poor practices are consistent with wait times and churning your pet in & out within the 20 minute allotted appointment time.I’ve been a loyal HH Vet for over 10 years but not anymore. Do yourself a favor and find another vet who will actually care for your pet.

I will never go back here.They prescribed sedation drugs for our dog before her annual visit. She is big, around 130 lbs and not easy to move into the car and out of the car and into the vets. They told us we were 20mins late and let us sit there for almost an hour before telling us we should go to a retail pet place on the highway.So that’s what we did and waited for 30 mins before the place they recommended said they did not do annual visits.The Hohokus staff were unpleasant and had no compassion for our dog who we had been prepping for the previous 18 hours.I strongly advise not going here.

We've experienced nothing but kindness and courtesy from the staff and our wonderful vet Dr. Scott. The other vets we've seen when she wasn't available were also excellent.We're never rushed, and the communication is excellent. Our former vet did us a big favor by retiring!

Not really thrilled with them, my dog was very sick on Thursday and they didn't make room for him on Thursday or Friday.. He's been with them his whole life.

Service has declined drastically. I have been coming to this VCA for my 3 dogs for years but after Covid service has completely changed. At this point it seems they just see pets as a number. Shame
