Walgreens Hillsdale- Chris G helped me at the Photo Center. His knowledge of the system, as well as his professionalism is an asset to this location. He was excellent in helping me make a memorable photo card. Thanks Chris G. Much appreciated.

Popped in to redeem a coupon I had for a facial cleanser. The store was decently sized and I found what I needed quickly. However, there was only one cashier and no self checkout. The employee had difficulty redeeming the coupon and had an attitude like he couldn't be bothered. I asked if the manager could assist and she was more helpful. Probably wouldn't be my first choice Walgreens.

Incompetent, unprofessional, unorganized. This pharmacy had me waiting for hours. Went early in the morning to pick up a prescription, the guy with the red beard said they didnt have it yet, fine, he took my phone number and said i would be contacted as soon as it was ready for pick up. I go home and wait around for TEN HOURS until i finally call, they say oh yea we got that prescription earlier this morning. I get upset asking why I wasn't contacted, the lady hangs up on me. I go in and now I'm not having any of their nonsense, I tell them I've been sick and needing my meds in not the nicest tone, so they take this opportunity to kick me out of the store. Sorry I got upset with you, you had me waiting around all day sick and in pain when you said you would notify me. This place is incompetent, unprofessional, and unorganized. Go elsewhere.

KT at the Walgreens in Hillsdale goes above and beyond for their customers. As multiple others were just kind of wandering around KT was attentive and engaged. They helped me solve a fedex label issue I was having over a three visit span until we celebrated victory once it got figured out. They deserve recognition and a raise bc they know more than the “manager” on the floor about the issues I was having and where I got a “it pisses the drivers off” from the manager I got “I’ll keep my eye out for a box to fit what you need” from KT. You need more KT and less of the guys who hide by the coolers instead of stocking anything. I worked retail and KT is the only actual hard worker I encountered there this week.

There has never been 1 time that they have gotten my prescriptions correct. The Asian pharmacist is the rudest individual that works with the public. It's incredibly sad seeing how she treats people with simple questions.

I never thought I'd be reviewing a Walgreens (Pharmacy), but here I am. As someone who has moved around a lot, I totally underestimated the importance of having a trusted pharmacist in my life. The team at Walgreens in Hillsdale really cares about their patients and goes above and beyond to ensure they have the highest level of care. Thanks Lauren and everyone else behind the counter -- you are the best!!

Why does every prescription take so long to fill? Even the Walgreens automated app apologizes for taking so long

All around, a poor Walgreens. The main supervising pharmacist is nice and works as hard as humanly possible. The male pharmacy technician is knowledgeable and works as hard as something can work as well. Everybody else tries, I guess. The MAJOR problem is ratio. The pharmacy was* too busy for it's size, and much of the staff is wasted bumping into each other and holding on the phone for doctor's office calls all day and evening. Basic easy refills take longer than most other pharmacies, but they get done. Complicated issues with insurance companies and doctor's offices build up there often causing key staff working to get lost in tunnel vision. Hours are wasted "fixing" one prescription which hundreds of others wait. It causes small issues to be put aside and ignored. Patients wind up going without essential medication as these prescriptions get lost under endless piles for days on end. Issues happen at pharmacies, just not at the scale as they do at the Hillsdale Walgreens. Patients can't predict when or if they can pick up these medications since no one answers the phone. It's not simply challenging, it's honestly impossible to get through to any staff there. After you call and follow the prompts, you're put in a phone queue. After a LONG wait, you hear ringing. Then, you enter the second phone queue (this is when you're one of the flashing red lights on the phones.) Every time you "get through," you hear someone pick up the phone and immediately put you back on hold. This happens two or three times until a computerized voice says "good bye." Once you hear "good buy," the line disconnects and your out of luck. So, you try again... Again and again and again and again and again, no one answers. Basically, they wear you down to the point of giving up. You have to go in person, knowing that your medication isn't there, yet it's the only to get someone to try to address what is going on with your prescription.*All this madness was what it was like BEFORE they "remodeled." Did the remodel increase the size of the pharmacy? No. As if this wasn't enough, they bought all the buisness from a busy, yet closing local pharmacy. Now, all the madness is supercharged.TL;DR: Go elsewhere!

Pharmacy only - terrible. Doctor called in prescription, waited few days, went to pick-up. They said they were out of stock and called us and left message. I work from home - no message was left. Pharmacist lied or their automated calls don't work. Either way, terrible customer service.

This is the worst of the worst .No sales representatives, one cashier and an inefficient pharmacy. The entire pharmaceutical staff has an attitude due to being overworked. Mistakes are common, check your medications are correct before consumption. The pharmacy was bad before, but since taking over Pascack Pharmacy they have added to the workload diminishing their service further. I switched to their Rivervale store same difference poor service and understaffed.

Horrible !!! Ever since they took over the pharmacy across the street, no one answers the phone. It is terrible how Walgreens fails to hire the appropriate personnel

In order to provide a CONSUMER WARNING, I am revising my comments here of one week ago. If you formerly used Pascack Pharmacy, please:1. Check all prescriptions filled from Walgreen’s to make sure they are the correct medication and dosage level.2. Be reminded that you have freedom of choice regarding what pharmacy you use.3. If you choose another pharmacy besides Walgreen’s, consider for the sake of accuracy having your physician’s office phone in a new prescription to your new choice of pharmacy. My most recent incident came with my second needed prescription refill with the new pharmacy I chose instead of Walgreen’s. The pill strength for my heart medication was double what my current dosage is. Thank goodness I stopped to check and read the label. Walgreen’s had forwarded to this new pharmacy only an outdated prescription list that had no information about the lower dose my cardiologist has currently been prescribing for me. Something is scarily remiss in this transfer of records. Do not trust their accuracy.I did try to give Walgreen’s a fair chance after Pascack Pharmacy closed. My first experience at a renewal there required two visits onsite. No one seemed to know what was flying. I was grateful to be given three emergency pills. But then I was told I'd have to be given three more because my Rx was still not done -- but then I found out later that it was filled and waiting for my pickup -- but no one called to tell me that. The left hand certainly had no idea what the right hand was doing. I switched to a small personal pharmacy with no regrets. Other pharmacies are also having trouble getting prescription information from Walgreen's for people who want to switch pharmacies. One doctor’s office told me they needed two or three 20-minute call-waits with Walgreen’s to clarify a prescription. This is all a far cry from the fifty years of trusted, personal service we received at Pascack Pharmacy.

Also a Pascack Pharmacy transfer customer. Since I always saw lines at the pharmacy counter at this Walgreens I decided to call in and make sure my Rx's were transferred and I needed a refill on one. First call a guy answers and when I tell him what I am calling about he says please hold I will be right back. 12 minutes later I am still on hold and soon after I was cut off. Called back a few minutes later and was put on automatic hold with background music. You are caller please hold, got up to you are caller two than I was cut off again. A few years back I used this Walgreens for prescriptions and the service was poor so I switched to Pascack Pharmacy Hillsdale. Since Pascack closed their doors and transferred everything to Walgreens I thought I would give Walgreens another shot. After my call experience I switched to CVS mail order. I should mention the CVS pharmacies are no better than this Walgreens. Much easier to order through the CVS Caremark mail order.
