Pet Stores & Supplies
Amwell Pet Supply
434 US-206, HillsboroughThis is a gem of a pet store that defies the “big box” chain stores. Loved the personal attention and their mission to rescue/rehome animals. They had many cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, fish, and birds while we were there for rehoming. If you are looking for a new pet- would highly recommend! We will keep supporting them w our purchases.

Pet Grooming
Pioneer Pet Care
47 E Mountain Rd, HillsboroughMy husband and I just picked up our 2 furbabies and could not be happier. Both of our boys were well cared for by Tara and Jack and had a great weekend/bath with them!! We have 2 basset hounds who are 2.5 years old. one is overly rambunctious and the other having been semi feral when we rescued him is still very timid. They were happy and looked great when we picked them up and fell right back into their routine when we got home. Great place and we will certainly use them again!!

Pet Care
Belle Mead Animal Hospital
872 US-206, HillsboroughAlthough my senior cat was only a patient there for a relatively brief time, they were wonderful to him, and me. We had an emergency, and they took us right in as soon as they opened. I definitely recommend them, and I'll be back with my next pet, guaranteed.

Red Bank Veterinary Hospital (RBVH) - Hillsborough
649 US-206, HillsboroughI brought my dog here about a month ago to be treated for GVD/bloat, where he received emergency surgery. He has since fully recovered and is doing wonderfully! A huge thank you to his surgeon, Dr. Klatzkow, and all the incredible staff whose names I unfortunately didn’t get for saving his life that night. They were also more than helpful with all of my follow-up questions. I’d like to especially shout out Finn, the receptionist, who was lovely company on one of the worst nights of my life!
Two words of advice for fellow owners: First, definitely call ahead if you’re in an emergency situation so that they can thoroughly prepare- it can save you precious time. Overnight staff is limited and if they’re already occupied with a true emergency, you will not be able to receive help. Always call! Second, emergency care is expensive and that is not your vet’s fault! Who ever heard of becoming a veterinarian for the money? ? Pet care is not subsidized by the govt. like human medical care, so prepare with an emergency fund and/or get pet insurance! We came in uninsured and paid about 8k, you bet I signed him up for pet insurance two days later!

Pet Sitting & Training
Dog Days Daycare Center
281-285 Roycefield Rd, HillsboroughI've been bringing my dog Nova to Dog Days about 2-5x/month since she was a little over four months old, and she loves it! She's tried other daycares in the area as well, and even though the others have cameras and Dog Days doesn't, I still fully trust them with her care and safety. I love how Dog Days separates by how the dogs play (rougher or tamer) instead of by size, and how large the outdoor area is for plenty of running space. She loves the handlers too, and is always happy, socialized, and exhausted after a day at Dog Days.

Cats Only Inn
132 Hillsborough Rd, HillsboroughI recently got a cat a few months ago and we had to find somewhere to leave her. I found this spot and chose it because of the reviews. They were very helpful and you could tell they love cats. When i got there her enclosure already had her name on it. They were accommodating and I’m pretty sure Cevi had a good time. I felt bad leaving her but I am glad they looked after her.

Longhill kennel
380 Long Hill Rd, HillsboroughI have used Long Hill Pet Boarding for years! Diane and her staff gave my two Penny and Tucker excellent care. They were so careful especially as the two of them aged. My one required several medications inc eye drops and every time they were well cared for. When Penny passed in 2021 Diane gave Tucker extra care as an only pup and he was just fine. Mine have stayed for two weeks at a time. Tucker passed in 2022 and I will board my new pup with Diane as well.

Bellemara Distillery
2 Clerico Ln Bldg 5, HillsboroughStopped by for a tasting. I was impressed with the balance of the aquavit and the quality of the single malt. Distiller Faye was awesome at answering questions and talking about the process. This place is worth a visit.
