I PROMISE YOU THIS PLACE IS EXCELLENT! THE FOOD IS AMAZING, THE WORKERS EVEN BETTER. I WORKED HERE FOR A LITTLE WHILE AND THE EMPLOYEES & CUSTOMERS ARE SO POLITE. THE PLACE IS ALWAYS CLEAN & WHEN I WORKED THERE, I WAS EXCITED TO WAKE UP AND GO TO WORK!! DEFINITELY DROP BY IF YOU'RE EVER IN HIGHLANDS YOU WON'T REGRET IT.

Cool place, lots of locals talking about there day( very friendly). They have a lottery so good luck. I ordered half a cheese steak w/ onions ( it was okay). There burgers look good and there breakfasts sandwiches also look good. It worth a try.

Stopped in for a cold cut sandwich and the meat in the counter looked rotten. Was told it was bad by the worker. Would never stop in again.

Felt like a classic NJ experience. I got the BLT, my friend got the ham and cheese. We bought wine in cans down the road and biked to Sandy Hook, found a space on the sand and had a picnic. The sandwiches hit the spot and the wine was perfect. Best beach day.

Katz's has become a regular stop for us when we go to the beach. Their subs are always good. Yes, a couple of the ladies are crotchety... but once you get past their seemingly toxic exterior they are actually quite nice. The younger woman, however, is extremely nice, helpful and a pleasure to chat with. They make reasonably priced sandwiches that are sure to please. This is a slice of NJ which I recommend.
