My husband showed up 10 minutes before they closed and they hadn’t gotten the prescription. They worked with my husband and we’re able to fill the prescription 5 minutes before closing. Great!

Best Rite Aid I've ever been to. They always have great seasonal items, especially now for the holidays. There is a liquor section great for finding something to gift a party host. Pharmacy is fantastic, I've never had problems with it. Medication for things like cold/flu are also always easy to get. I would not want to live in Highland Park without this Rite Aid.

Decent selection for a town with no Grocery store but be prepared to wait 15-30 mins in line to check out. Please get self checkout or hire more people

Unreal with this pharmacy. I was waiting for a prescription that was given 4 hours ago. When I arrived, it wasn’t ready. They told me to wait. Then when I came back after 15 mins, it still wasn’t ready and they wanted me to wait back in line. Absolutely atrocious service. Don’t ever go here!

This review is strictly for the Pharmacy. The store itself is fine. Please spare yourself the trouble and go elsewhere. The emotional stress I have gone through because of the Pharmacy is just unbelievable.I have been going through a medical process for over a year now, and Rite Aid Highland Park gets all of my scripts.Every time I call / go to the pharmacy, they don't have information about my medication or they give me the wrong information, or they can't fill my meds or the wrong one was filled. If I kept a log book of all the issues I had, it would be pages and pages of it.Today:Please note:The medication I take is time sensitive and is needed for a medical procedure that I am getting done. I told them this but the pharmacy did not care.I called because I paid for my medications on 09/09 (4) and had it delivered. The package seemed to have been lost. Someone at the pharmacy said that it was already picked up by someone on 09/09 and I should have it. Not true. I received tracking information and it said it was in Florida (I live in town). They also hung up on me 2 times. So I called back, someone picked up, I told them that I am trying to get my meds, and she said that it was "not on us to find it, you have to call USPS because they're the ones that lost it". I said right, but if the package is lost how do I get medicine from USPS? I need it from the Pharmacy. She said "there's nothing they can do" I have to call USPS.I then said can't you call my ins and see what you can do to get it refilled since it was you who sent it out and then it got lost? They tried to say they did it right, they don't know what happened but they cant help me.Long story short, Pharmacist said "no we can't help you, we will not call insurance, you do it" and hung up on me.Last time:I'm on auto refill but didn't get a call about my meds. I called and they said my meds was on national back order and they don't know when it would come in. They told me to call my doctor to get different meds ( this is insulin for diabetes, I cant just change what I'm taking).I called the next day to speak to the manager and they said they weren't there (again), and they said that MY doctor actually called and cancelled my script. ( not true because I had a Drs appt that day so I asked her and she said she never called, and yesterday they said it was on back order)The following day, I got a call saying my meds were ready. When I looked on the link they sent to pay, it was for the wrong quantity.I had a 90 day and a monthly. They filled the monthly. I called and said that I need the 90 bc the monthly is an old script and the dosage is no longer correct. They said the same thing. They said my doctor called and cancelled it and I had to speak to my doctor. My doctor said they did not cancel and they ended up having to call a different pharmacy for me and the pharmacy had to call rite aid to transfer the script so that I could get my meds in time without me missing a dose. (Why is this even necessary??)There are countless other times where there was an issue with getting my medication. Where they said ins didn't cover it, and it was not filled but I got a text saying it was ready to be picked up, and I also got the link to pay for it already and I did pay for it! So how is it all of a sudden not covered and not filled.I tried transferring my meds to another pharmacy and that pharmacy said no one was getting back to them for the transfer.I have had the worst experience with Rite Aid Pharmacy specifically in Highland Park. Also, please note that when you call at night no one ever picks up. But they are open.

Literally the worst pharmacy I have ever been to. There is always a line around the corner, it moves at an impossibly slow pace, and the pharmacist does not seem to know what they’re doing. Also, ever try to call the pharmacy? Well never expect to get an answer! Ever! They never pick up!

The Rite Aid pharmacy is a disaster. Messages are left by Doctors and patients and no one checks the voice mail. They are short staffed and completely overwhelmed with long lines waiting for prescriptions all of the time. They tell you the prescription was not sent in until you show electronic proof that it was and then the story changes to the prescription being backordered. And this kind of thing happens all of the time. Just a compete disaster!

I had a prescription sent to this pharmacy. I got there about 30 minutes after they sent it in. Got told it'll be another 30 minutes to an hour. Walked back in after 45 minutes and got told to sit down, they'll start getting it ready now. I've now waited a total of an hour and 30 minutes for a perscription that would be ready in 15 minutes at a CVS or honestly any other rite aid. Absurd. Either tell me a better estimate or just take the pills and put them in the bag instead of moping around.

This is a review for the pharmacy inside this rite aid. It's the worst pharmacy I've ever been to. Sure it's convenient since it's located right in town but something needs to change about how they manage the pharmacy. I have two horrible experiences where they prescribed me a partial medicine because they ran out and then told me they would have the rest the next day. I went the next day and they told me they don't have it and that I'll have to wait another day. Mind you this medication had to be taken with no breaks between each daily course. When I brought this problem up to the pharmacist she had no regards and was so rude. Now a second experience is my 6 month old is prescribed a medicine they don't have it and say they'll have it the next. I call the next day and they say it'll be ready in an hour. My husband goes to pick it up and is told the medicine is on back ordered and not ready. I sent him back in to make sure since I had spoken to someone on the phone that said it'll be ready in an hour. He goes in again and they say it'll be ready in a few minutes. What is going on in this pharmacy? It's a hot mess. Take your business elsewhere!

I love that you can buy anything from basic groceries, liquor and get your scripts. Organized store, friendly staff, open late. Pharmacy staff is overwhelmed, no one picks up the phone when you call. They need more people.

This location should be shut down ……. The disrespect from the pharmacy manager is out of control. This pharmacy is dominating this town and other pharmacies have closed down in that past year. That the customer service is none existing. You can call the pharmacy at any time of the day they will never pickup the phone.I have called the corp office to put in a complaint and no one got back to me. This is unacceptable. We are going to have the mayor and the elected officials to look in to this and if rite aid does not address this issue they should revoke there license to operate in this town.

This pharmacy never answers the phone or returns messages when you call to refill prescriptions or have questions, so you have to go in-person. The service is so slow and you wait in line forever to pick up.

Rite-Aid in Highland Park is very good if not excellent. I reluctantly give 4 rather than 5 stars if only because the stock has been limited lately though it is Covid rather than Rite-Aid which is responsible; the other reason is the necessity to show a photo ID to prove 21+...even elderly are required. (There used to be hoards of college students buying alcohol here and likely many had bogus IDs).I buy basic necessities here, especially since nearby Stop N Shop cut back hours. There is a reasonably good selection of grocery items. I wish they still sold the omelette wraps in brown wrappers...they were delicious. They carry Thrifty Ice Cream which is the best ?.I often buy protein drinks and bars here.Holiday items are very good and frequently on sale. I enjoy these, but the only drawback is so many others in town have the same ones. The staff here is invariably very nice and often give me friendly hellos. It is my go-to pharmacy. For me it is ideally located a short walk away.On many occasions I need the men's room and they have one in back.
