“This place was fantastic! I blew a tire on my travel trailer on the Thruway And I was towed to Mahwah To a tire place that was supposed to have what I needed. When we got there, they didn’t and I called at least a dozen local tire places with zero success. I called this place and the guy was so helpful although he did not have the exact tire I needed. He was able to sell me another one that was very similar. I ended up buying two which meant I needed to drive back to my trailer. Install the one tire bring the trailer back to him to install the second tire. The place stayed open an hour later for a complete stranger and saved my family vacation!!!! Had it not been for them my travel Trailer would have been sitting in the middle of a grocery store parking lot certainly overnight. My food would have spoiled and we never would have been able to get back on the road the same evening. Good people still exist! Luckily I live pretty local and will be using them from here on out!”

They are professional, efficient, and kindhearted. They not only treat me like family but they are the down to earth kind of people that you want working on your cars. Highly HIGHLY Recommend!”
“Found a nail in one of my tires so I went to Mavis in Oakland to fix it since they installed all the tires. I have used Mavis for years as they have installed tires on all of my vehicles and trailers. They are always courteous, friendly and reliable. I will continue to use them but I have to complain about the price. They found a nail in my tire. They plugged it. They didn’t take the tire off of the truck and patch it they just jacked the truck up pulled out the nail and plugged it. The price $50.00. I mean come on that’s insane. 5 minutes of work for $50.00. If they actually took it off and patched it like I wanted since the tires have 6,000 miles I wouldn’t be worried about the price but a plug for $50.00 is just insane and unreasonable. I then asked how much an oil change would be and was quoted $140.00. It’s a Chevy Suburban that uses conventional oil so $140.00 is completely insane. I understand everything is expensive in today’s world but this is getting out of hand.”

“This Mavis location is efficient and great with communication. I noticed a slow leak in my tire and within the same day I scheduled an appointment and had it fixed promptly after arriving. Johan was so helpful and nice!”
“I was in the area and I noticed I ran over a nail, he was busy and knew I wasn’t from the area, he had his mechanic stop the car he was working on and help me out. What I most respected was he could have charged me whatever he wanted but did not take advantage!!! Highly recommend.”

“Nice, honest local mechanic shop. I've been coming here for the last 3 years. Johnny charges fair prices, does good quality work, and goes out of his way to help out! Over the past few years, hes documented problems with a new lemon car for me that helped out in my buyback lawsuit against the manufacturer, and on another car, when the brake service light came on, saw that the brakes still had more than half their life left in them. He replaced the failed brake wear sensor instead of selling me on a brake job I didn't actually need. I wouldn't bring my cars anywhere else!”
“On our RV Trip from Maine we unfortunately found ourselves in a bind with a flat inner tire after going to 2 Mavis Tires, a ford, a Subaru dealership and a few mom and pop garages around no one was willing to even lend us a Jack.Somehow someone gave us Bob’s number and he told us to come over immediately and graciously fixed our tire and check all the others as well as allowing my boys to play with his car and tires? recommend them everyday”

“I went to PepBoys to have a flat tire repaired. Amanda took care of me immediately. Unfortunately the tire was unreliable due to a cut in the tire, not a puncture. They showed me the cut and said it couldn’t even be patched. They mounted and balanced a new tire and I was on my way.”
