The shelves were packed with the latest holiday decor and "influencer suggested" items. I couldn't believe the selection of old and new items! The store was clean and "weird smell free".
I highly recommend this Dollar Tree location not just for their stock but for the friendly, hard working and courteous staff as well!”
“Just wanted to add to the excellent reviews Im seeing here! Dollar Tree in the Marketplace on 34 is such a pleasure to shop at. I stopped going to the other ones for the most part, and at times go out of my way to shop at this one. I can tell you the reason its so awesome -in addition to it being clean & fully stocked- PAUL the manager! He is a hard worker who genuinely cares about his store and his customers. He is a joyful person that brings joy to others! He creates an atmosphere of, instead of this being a huge chain store, its rather like he's the owner of your "corner store in the neighborhood" you grew up in. Kinda like at Cheers where everybody knows your name..haha. He is just a really great guy who makes you feel welcome. I feel its him and his dedicated staff that keep people happy & coming back! Its really more than just a dollar store. There's a real sense of community that Paul's touch adds this place!!”

1077 NJ-34, Aberdeen“I left a review a while back because there was a blip in hours or maybe someone was late that day but besides that 5/2/24 10:15am the assistant manager and cashier I had to praise on how amazing this particular dollar tree I come to consistently is always beautifully well stock and organized and the quality and different items constantly are amazing. I can actually walk through the store with a shopping cart with zero issues what so ever. Whoever’s been merchandising the sales floor or taking the lead and assuring customers can actually shop without hitting 100 baker racks should get a nice raise considering I’m not running in to dodge for one item. I can actually spend money since I can find items I need or don’t need lol! Moving from the city to NJ has turned me into a slight Karen but all for more positive reviews. Couldn’t be happier to be in south Jersey and close to one of the best dollar trees around! :-)”

“I am a frequent shopper in multiple locations near me however I was in the Holmdel N.J. location where I encountered a young lady cashier with an attitude there is a single line where you are called to a register to check out she said something about #4 but was at another register talking to another employee so I said "I'm sorry excuse me did you say that you are open on register #4" she responded with an attitude that she was on #4 and proceed to continue talking with the other employee finally she came over to the register and started to check out my items by throwing them at me while I was bagging and then stated that I was unable to take the cart out of the store since they have a pole in them I advised her that all of the other cashiers allow me to remove the pole go and load my items into my car then return the cart back to store and reinstall the pole back to the cart; since I am disabled. She kept saying that "I said that you can not take the cart out of the store"I paid for my items and went to leave while trying to remove the pole she started screaming for the other employee who came out yelling at me and that I can not take the cart out of the store I explained that all of the other cashiers allow me to take it out and I return it back to the store and reinstall the pole now both of them are yelling at me that I can not take the cart out of the store now I had to go back and forth in the pouring rain bag by bag. This is absolutely ridiculous just because your employees don't want to go retrieve any stray carts from the parking lot.Due to this I will not be shopping in here any longer.”

“I'm a dollar store junkiehowever there sizes have decreased and now it's not a $1.00 it was increased to a $1.25 but they now have introduced items that vary ranging from $3.00, $4.00 & $5.00I will still continue to shop here.I'm amazed at how many different things you can get in a dollar store ranging from food, health and beauty items, arts and crafts items, pet foods and treats, party supplies, greeting cards, kitchen items etc.Come on in an experience it for yourself.”
“The store is smaller than other dollar trees, they don't seem to carry a lot of stuff. They are convenient for me which is why I come here. For most part the employees are nice. They do good business, especially in the summer.”

148 Smith St, Perth Amboy“I want to give 5 stars plus to this store
My daughter turned 3 years old and I went there to buy all the items and I found that and much more, and for a dollar? Better yet!!????. With $50 dollars I was able to make my daughter happy and a very special day. Small details to improve are that they should have large bags for shopping. And especially if I'm shopping in that place, I don't have to leave my shopping for almost two hours to go look for a bathroom outside, it must give customers access to the bathroom, because that's where I'm shopping, go look for a bathroom outside For me it was a waste of time.
The young man who helped me was very kind.
In this store you will find everything you need????
5 stars plus.”
“All the $1 stores have now become $1.25 stores but that’s not the individual stores fault- it’s the chain. I remember when 99cent stores opened all over Brooklyn but NOTHING was 99cents!I enjoy this store because the cashier are always very nice, there’s parking and depending on the season & when they get shipments in - it’s can be a REAL HIT! with great deals & you can find many things under a $1.25! Individual Store Locations like this one really don’t have a say over what is shipped to them to have in stock. So the past year… they haven’t had basic oatmeal. During the Pandemic, they didn’t have large popsicle sticks. Not the end of the world. I’d suggest always stop in & see what they have especially for holiday decor scores!”

6410 Amboy Rd, Staten Island“Despite an uncontrolled power issue that’s at 7:15pm the staff is amazing. There was one costumer driving a black highlander plate # hjh2576. That was a total Karen. Unbelievable how nasty she was to the staff. It’s not there fault the power went out. She was cussing and being a K*unt. I’m sorry the young ladies working there had to deal with that.”
“It’s a great store tbh. Some costumers are always annoying the employees and create long lines because you know, they are Karens and that’s what they do. But the staff is very professional, quick and helpful. Would totally go again.”

242 Main St, Keansburg“I called inquiring about an item. I was pressed for time and Taylor offered to set it aside for me. When I went to pick it up, he was just as friendly and helpful as he was on the phone. He helped me look for other items I needed. I felt really good shopping at this store. From my experience one can see Taylor and the rest of the staff have a good customer service mindset. Thank you for your help Taylor!”

He talks a bit much and the lines get long sometimes because he is known in the area. I am of different race and he is always treating me with respect and I do the same. Sorry for your experience but I think you read him wrong.”

426 Raritan St, Sayreville“Great customer service! As soon as I walked in, Norman and the older lady greeted me warmly and were very attentive throughout my entire visit. They made sure to listen carefully to all of my concerns and needs and provided me with all the necessary information to make informed decisions. I truly appreciated their efforts to ensure that I left with the assurance I needed. I will definitely be returning to this location for any future needs.”
“Dollar Tree has undergone a remarkable transformation, presenting a well-organized and easily navigable store layout. Products are strategically placed for easy browsing, with each section clearly distinguished. The introduction of self-checkout has eradicated lengthy queues, streamlining the shopping process. Most importantly, their commitment to affordability remains intact, making every product accessible to all customers.”

337 Madison Ave, Perth Amboy“So grateful to have one close by. An automatic door entrance, as a person with a disability it means a lot for doors to open automatically. Lastly the staff, Kim, Al, Jenn, such wonderful customer service. Wouldn't trade this for the world. A wonderful addition to the neighborhood”
“It's a dollar store yes, but it's clean and stocked. I've never really had a cause to ever have to ask if they have more in the back since I know they generally are on top of that.”
