We absolutely love this school! We've dropped in whenever we are in town and everyone is so welcoming! I've also had my children take private instruction from Joe, and it's really helped them prep for competitions, etc! We've had positive experiences in both the adult and children's classes, and we would absolutely want to train here as our home school if we lived in the area!

I moved to the area a few months ago and struggled to find a gym that had the level of coaching and technique I needed as a purple belt. I've been training for around 6 years and came from the city where I was extremely spoiled with world-class athletes being my every day coaches. I definitely look for very sharp coaching and techniques being taught that have staying power past white belt. I've been so impressed with Coach Joe and his team here. Not only is the coaching clear, consistent and REAL jiu jitsu, this is such a welcoming and clean environment. Hands down the cleanest, best maintained gym I have ever trained at. I am also a mom and struggle to get enough time on the mats this this stage - there are so many other parents here and it is such a welcoming environment for families. Without that support I honestly just could not train, being able to have my child with me occasionally and be able to come to a family jiu jitsu class has meant the absolute world to me.

I attended my 1st class there this week. I have never trained in martial arts or wrestling. It was incredibly intimidating walking in initially. Joe, the staff and other students made me feel comfortable immediately. A student took the time to train with me and was very helpful. I went in on a free trial and signed up right after training!

Was a very welcoming gym and nice environment. The head instructor is very kind and knowledgeable. Overall a great place to train jiu jitsu at.

In addition to being an amazing jiu jitsu school, we just had the most amazing Nerf birthday party here. The staff took care of everything from start to finish and made sure that all 16 eight year olds (and their parents) had a blast. Would recommend to anyone looking for a birthday party venue.

I have been practicing Jiu-Jitsu for several years, and hands-down, Coach Joe and his team have created the most family-friendly environment I've ever had the pleasure of training in. He was so great teaching my 5-year old with patience and encouragement, and she quickly added two new moves to her repertoire! I've taken a few classes both gi and no-gi, and the great teaching of course carries over to us adults too. I gave the highest recommendation to my work buddy, and now his family has been training there happily for several months. Another coworker might move to the Hazlet area, and of course I told him there is no better place to continue his training. No shortage of friendly and talented students and training partners here either. Will be back soon!!

I am proud to have my son a part of BBJ!!! Listening to the the lessons taught, amazing! So grateful we started our son in Jiu Jitsu !!! SO grateful we chose Bayshore Brazilian Jiu Jitsu !! The message is clear and the examples are amazing! My sons focus isnt the best and always , Couch Joe and Couch Ben and others really are so patient and amazing! So kind and know how to teach children! Did the family class today, me and my son, can not wait for the next!

Best family members that you never knew you had. No egos just a room full of like-minded people all trying to better themselves while looking out for others and helping them along the way. Both my daughter and I are members of this academy and it has given her a confidence I can't explain and given us a bond that brought our daddy daughter relationship To a new level. The staff there are second to none with only the best interest of the students in mind. They have created an atmosphere that you have to experience to understand so stop in soon and become part of the family. Thank you coach Joe And the rest of the staff.

I got the chance to visit this club and was extremely impressed. The facility is clean, they have a nice space to leave your bags, and the staff was extremely helpful. The head coach was very welcoming and friendly he introduced me to other student and I quickly got brought into the family. I met some really great people there and 100% plan on visiting every chance I get. I highly recommend going to this school the instruction was fantastic, the rolls were great and the environment was truly like a family environment. Everything Jiu jitsu is about.

An excellent academy. My 6 yr old son has been training there for a bit over a year and his progress from his skill level to his focus and maturity have increased dramatically. They have several high-quality instructors who put a lot of attention into the kids classes from Coach Joe, Coach Evan, Coach Sophie and Coach Ben. Top notch in our book friendly, and family environment

Easy decision to choose Bayshore BJJ to start Jiu Jitsu! The moment I walked in everyone was so welcoming and felt like I was immediately apart of the bay shore family. My only regret is that I haven't started sooner! Coach Joe and the rest of the coaches are awesome and patient with you being so new to the sport. They want to see you grow. Great place highly recommend!

I had been thinking about taking BJJ for quite some time. Finally, I decided to go for it. I’m so glad I chose Bayshore. Joe has curated an amazing environment and friendly staff. Everyone one that attends classes here is so inviting and eager to help out however they can. I’m getting a great workout and learning BJJ from some of the best people around. Best of all, no one is trying to hurt me. It’s competitive, fun, and exciting. I can’t recommend Bayshore enough

Started Training at Bayshore 1& 1/2 years ago after our previous academy closed down. From day 1 Coach Joe made our family feel like this was a place to call home. I recently started training at Bayshore Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and am so glad I started. I feel like I am a pretty slow learner but that hasn't been an issue. The teachers take the time to break down the techniques until you get it. On top of that the other more experienced students take the time to help you too. It is a very welcoming and friendly place. The hardest part was taking that first step and signing up for a trial. Once you do you will be mad at yourself for waiting so long.
