“I stumbled upon this consignment shop on elm st. In Oakland and couldn't believe my luck! This place is stuffed to the brim with new, + gently used apparel from all the best designers, Prada, Dior, gucci... I could go on and on. I almost didn't want to share! You've got to check this place out, consignment or shop or both! It's a gem.”
“Gary's great I've been going there since 1980 and every time I do if he doesn't have it the can usually get it. In fact I have to go soon I need flat cars.”
“Great store and staff. My grandson found just what he was looking for. Both the manager and the sales staff were wonderful, friendly and helpful .We bought a Surpreme hat in light blue, my grandson was a true hit with his friends.”
“Wonderful selection of carefully cultivated dresses from many decades as well as hats, bags and beaded gowns. Super owner who is helpful and funny. Had a great time and came home with six amazing outfits.”
“Its one of the best stores. Neat, clean with all steamed clothes organized so well.
The Quality of the stuff here is amazing. From clothing to shoes , hangbags to scarves and jewelry , all are really good.
Highly recommended!”
“Such a beautiful store! I feel like the prices are normal for vintage clothes. There’s also a large section of vintage designer. Wide variety of sizes and styles from every era. There’s also a $10 rack and a free bin in the front of the store, which is a nice touch. I like that there’s something for everyone here and it’s a very inviting experience. I love that Vintage Alley posts new inventory on Instagram to help people stay in the loop. I will definitely be back soon!”

Very friendly and offer a wine night and some good sales. I love the ambiance, and it is well-lit and priced. Why buy new and why not bring in the things that you dont need. Love this place.”
“The owner is an absolute sweetie and always has helpful insight on items and when they’re from! I bought a pair of prescription glasses from the 50s and within about 10 minutes of owning them, they broke! Because I’m a far distance from the store, she gave me a full refund through Paypal and didn’t even ask me to bring them back. The most charming place!!”
“Very cool store with tons of vintage gems. The layout of the store is super nice and comfy. I always enjoying looking at everything even if I don't buy anything when I go. They have decent sales prices aswell. The owners are always super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend going if you enjoy vintage items!!”
“PROS: this place was very nice. Historically a train station that was renovated into a shop. The staff was nice, prices were amazing, variety of items plentiful, everything was organized, and the items were good quality. There was even loads of parking CONS: the place wasn't all that big which caused congestion inside. OVERALL: I will definitely come back here as this is an amazing place to go thrifting”
“Hollywood Heros has two things going for it. 1) An amazing, incredible selection of toys, new and vintage. 2) The nicest owners possible. My 12 y.o. son is a huge Star Wars collector, and he discovered HH on Yelp about. year ago. We've gone maybe a dozen times now even though it's an hour round trip. We often find rare and impossible to get items here and if it's not on the shelves, it's probably in their basement, so just ask. We became friendly with Jordan and Val on our trips there, and Jordan has been especially gracious. He always has time to talk, answer questions, and be friendly. Even when we come to just window shop, we still have great talks. Recently my son was looking for an ARC-170 gunship, and Jordan and Val had just gotten one in that had missing parts, and they gave it to my son as a thank you for being a loyal customer. It made my son's month. The store is a block from the central shopping district, so when we go we get bagels or Korean chicken and make a day out of it, or go the few blocks to Trader Joes. I know a Trader Joes isn't a selling point for a store specifically, but as a parent of someone who loves shopping here it's nice to have a cute town that can be part of the experience.”
“Arlene and her team are amazing! On February 25, 2023, I was on a road trip and found One Savvy Design on Yelp. Their merchandise is high quality and their customer service is second to none. They use Entrupy to authentic their bags and include the paperwork with your purchase. They have a huge collection of designers bags, unique clothes and stunning jewelry! It's impossible to leave empty-handed. Happy shopping!”
“love this place, always find the best things! recently found these absolutely adorable glasses. all the volunteers are incredible, especially the manager Tanya. thank you willing hearts for being so wonderful!”
“This shop has a lovely selection of antique and vintage items. I found just what I had been looking for and the price was very fair. The person who was at the shop (Jerry?) was a bit grumpy lol. So don't expect a lot of help when you go there. I guess it was nice that at least I didn't feel like I was being pushed into buying something.”
“Always find wonderful items. Bought an Alexander McQueen sweater years ago that people still comment on. And Gucci sunglasses that are timeless. It's so great to have a shop that has both new and vintage. Arlene has put together many an outfit for me and I always walk out feeling great!”
“Denise was very kind, and I found some great items! Prices were a little steep, but I understand with COVID and whatnot. Will definitely be returning. Thank you so much!”

“My friend and I needed to find candelabras to light for the Shabbat. We wanted nice candelabras that were unique and special. Not only did Bergen Vintage have these pieces, they had many other pieces that helped fit the vibe we wanted. It was a pleasure coming here to see the items and find what we wanted. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. We will definitely be back !! Thank you Bergen Vintage.”
“Although I have emphathy for the inconvenience & frustration for lack of consistency w/store hours...the owner has been sick, in the hospital & recouping from a broken foot! Also, the loss of her sweetmother (reg customers know who I'm speaking of), & another very unexpected death in the family, all in the past year +/- have been hard for her. Dare I suggest you call 1st, just to verify her open hours. Just a thought. I'm just saying...?”
“Amazingly large area located in an old factory the entrance is in the loading back area Parking's tight Prices are good but Wednesday's three tags great Got my winter wardrobe there Wednesday staff very helpful Try it u will like it”
“Everything is fabulous! I love to go at least one a month to find fresh finds! The owners and staff are so sweet! The stock is amazing! The merchandise is modern and hip! Love!”
“A magical place! What makes this place so unique, is that it is rather chaotic, (in the same way that one of those "I spy" books you might have read as a child were). It isn't the best as far as organization haha, and yes everything is just piled in boxes, but it makes it all the more fun. I personally scored some really unique, authentic military uniforms from this place, as well as a huge selection of other random pieces. Their prices are not the cheapest, but that's okay, cuz when you find that super unique Joe Camel, windbreaker that your uncle had 40 years ago, for $15, it's well worth it. To all those saying it smells like cigarettes, grow up lmao”
