I am NEVER going back to this pharmacy. It's the absolute WORST. My son has epilepsy & they are constantly running out of one of his medications. They told me the other day it was on back order, and my son was down to two doses. They told me to go to another pharmacy to see if they had it. I went to another local town pharmacy and they were so wonderful and kind and said that they would order it and it would be in today which is Saturday. in the meantime, Walgreens called back and said that they can order it and it would be there today which is Saturday. I didn't hear anything so I called them and asked them if my son's medication was in yet. The rude pharmacist (after being on hold for 15 minutes) told me that they don't get deliveries on Saturdays. I told him that someone yesterday told me it would be there and he said "oh that person was probably just a floater". Then he told me he had to give someone a shot & he'd call me back (which he never did). since they are closed on Sundays and don't get deliveries, my son will now be without a dose of his epilepsy medication. I have had it, and now they put my son's health at risk. I am pulling all of my prescriptions from the store and I am going to a local town pharmacy. Do not get prescriptions at this pharmacy, they are absolutely horrible and impossible to get in touch with over the phone.

I couldn't believe today with this pharmacy. I called the pharmacy to speak to someone there about one of my prescription. Guess what I waited for over 1 hour. They never got to help me. How there this people.

Hawthorne Walgreens pharmacy has been providing a sincerely disappointing experience over the last several months. My sick parent who needs life saving medication on a monthly basis has been going to this pharmacy for over ten years. The pharmacist continues to get order dates wrong, life saving medication is always delayed and prices continue to change upon every single visit. The pharmacist promised the cost would be $60 a day before and it was $101 upon delivery of the correct medication the very next day. We can no longer trust this pharmacy to deliver the services which Walgreens offers. The store manager is also unhelpful and these employees are dismissive at best, rude at worst. Find your medication and vaccinations elsewhere if you value customer care and respect.

We had an awful interaction with the pharmacy at Walgreens. The pharmacy would not permit me to take my mother’s oncology medicine. I explained to the lady behind the counter I’ve picked it up for her multiple times already in the previous months. I even told the lady behind the counter to call the pharmacist who regularly took care of me so he can confirm and verify my identity. Mind you, I’ve already showed her my ID and a picture of my mother’s ID but it was STILL not good enough for her. She refused to call the pharmacist and dismissed me and told me to come back with my sick mother. Management then got involved and I eventually got my sick mother’s oncology meds. What a nightmare of an experience. They need better ways to check and validate identity information because they are an absolute mess over there.

2/13/2023 You guys waste my time and gas. I called an hour ago to make sure that my prescription was ready before I got to the Walgreens (Hawthorne) on cicero. An employee confirmed it would be ready in 30 min. It's been two hours and it's still not ready. Please ensure you give out correct valid information.

Horrible customer service. Needed to pick up money from Western Union and nobody had an answer. All the manager had to say was “ I don’t know”. Disappointing that people are given management positions when they aren’t capable of giving simple customer service. I went to the Walgreens in Fairlawn and they walked me through the process with no problem. Whoever is hiring needs to properly train oryour management titles are useless.

Worst Walgreens around. 2nd time I’ve tried to order photos online and get the excuse the machine is down. It takes me calling to get an update for them to tell me. Stay away from this location. Do yourself a favor and drive the few extra minutes to the Fairlawn location.

Went to pick up something in the pharmacy and the tech closed the gate and said come back in an hour we are closed !! Really ?? Who does that and who closes the pharmacy in the middle of the day ??? UNREAL!!!

My experience with getting both the prior Covid shots were great (hence the 2 stars) but when I went recently to get the booster, I felt the pharmacist was very aggressive.Normally when you get these shots, you should try to be as gentle as possible. I didn't feel them the previous times and was expecting the same experience, but was shocked when I felt an agonizing pain when the pharmacist administered the shot. He jammed the needle into my arm and when I looked over, I was surprised to see blood where he injected me. When I asked about it, it was just brushed off with a " you'll be fine".Luckily I don't get woozy at the site of blood but I can't say the same for others. Please try to be aware that not everyone has the same pain threshold when it comes to injections and I hope they learn to be more careful with future patients!
