First time to Black Eyed Susan's and it really was such a delight. The vibe inside was very cozy and inviting, they had a wood fire going in the fireplace, the lights were perfectly dimmed. We were greeted warmly, our coats checked. My drink, the "you had me at aloe," was the prefect blend of fruity and fresh - and the passion fruit pearls atop the drink were so fun - a little burst of flavor! My husband couldn't decide on a wine, and they kindly let him have a small taste of one before he committed - in the end he went with a lovely Sangiovese Red. We left feeling FULL. The prices here are not cheap, but the serving size you get for the price is a good value. We took home portions of our entrees, and the only apps we had were the sour dough bread and olives - of which we also took some home. Typically I don't venture this far north on the island, but for the tasty food and bevies I would make the trip again.

Came here back in the end of September. Was in the area for a girls weekend. My friend knew of this restaurant but hadn't been there yet. So we decided to go for some food and drinks on a Saturday evening (I think we called earlier in the day and made a reservation). The restaurant is beautifully decorated. Everything was fresh and clean. Nothing out of place! Every staff member that we came in contact with was wonderful although our server Emily, was awesome! Answering every question we had without skipping a beat! We decided to get four appetizers and drinks. I cannot even describe how incredible all of the food was! I can't wait to go back, hopefully this spring!

The food was delicious and service was great!! It was way louder in there than we were expecting though. My husband and I went for a Valentine dinner thinking it would be a nice intimate dinner and it was not. The tables are VERY close to each other where we sat and the table next to us was maybe not even 2 feet away with a party of 5 and 2 children who were very very loud the entire time and the bar was right next to us also. We had to talk loud the entire time to hear each other. Just wasnt what we were expecting after reading about this place online. We were also way overdressed lol. Other than that, food was excellent

First, the atmosphere buries the needle-a lovely neighborhood establishment with outdoor fire pits and loads of hardwood to keep the fires burning. My son is a big fan and we wanted to visit for his and his twin sisters birthday. We ordered a selection of happy hour and dinner menu items: pizza, whipped ricotta (!), wings, mussels, cheeseburger, pizza puffs, bread pudding. What a meal! Try the bourbon and rum special cocktails. Huge kudos to our server Mary M she was the nicest person to spend two hours with. 10/10 folks!

Was on the fence about 3 or 4 stars. Pros - beautiful restaurant, great servers, a lovely classy experience all around Cons- menu is just not that interesting. Seems like every place on LBI now is same menu format: 6 pizza, 6 sandwiches, 6 main dishes, a few salads. And the pizzas often overlap. (Are you really to come here for a pepperoni pizza?). It's nice food but basically better than average bar food in most respects. I'm happy they're here and open year round. Unfortunately I remember when the original place was the best restaurant on LBI by a mile. Was our go to place for special meals. Now it is just ok.

My family and I went here for their pasta night and it was absolutely impeccable. Their chicken and potato gnocchi soup is to die for.

Rude management, they skimp on protein, and add hidden fees everywhere. Extra charge for credit card usage. Extra charge for pickup?? Ordered a chicken pizza and there was a $2.50 charge for pick up. What?? I drove there to pick it up what are you charging me $2.50 for??? It was just pizza placed a pizza box. Also the already very expensive pizza had hardly any chicken (I have heard from others as well how they skimp on protein). What a rip off.

Ate here with some family members on an off season Fri night. Our table was ready on time. The food was good and the service was exceptional. Our server, Emily, was attentive without hovering. She answered our questions and was extremely knowledgeable about the menu.

What an amazing venue for a small wedding! The food was delicious. Thank you to the chef and kitchen! From the charcuterie table, appetizers and sour dough bread to the tile fish and braised beef entrees to the outstanding bread pudding for dessert. Our guests raved about everything. The staff and servers were excellent and the venue was beautiful. And a big thank you for accommodating our ceremony due to the weather!

Such great service from Sophie for being so busy. The Angry Crab Pizza and artichoke appetizer were the best one two combo I have ever had. The wine was a little pricey, but all in all, we recommend this restaurant.
