Long story short: skip the big box stores and go here, you won't regret it... Outstanding family owned business with great pricing and customer service!Long story long: I had an appliance break and needed it same-day. I made the mistake of going to Home Depot and PC Richards first and they didn't have anything in stock and weren't even able to give me a timeline for delivery. I was lucky enough to find Jem on Google... not only did they have a good selection actually on their premises but their pricing was good as well. The customer service was great and I was able to even deal directly with one of the members of the family that owns the business. Where can you really find that these days? The buying process was quick and easy, no pressure, no drama. Zelle, check, or cash is preferred. I don't believe they install but they do deliver to a pretty extensive area. Not the easiest location to find but definitely worth it. Give them a call, support a great local family business!

You won't find a better price anywhere else. Trust me, I tried. JEM was able to get all of our full suite of appliances in earlier than expected when everyone was experiencing long delays during the pandemic. Unfortunately our contractor wasn't ready to start and JEM was able to hold our appliances for us for nine months in their warehouse. Will definitely go back for any future appliance needs.UPDATE: Howie at JEM has gone above and beyond to help us resolve an issue with a defective vent hood. I was worried we would be left high and dry after discovering, nearly a year after purchase, our newly installed appliance wasn’t working properly. Howie was able to get us a new replacement unit that was delivered quickly.Thank you, JEM!

My total experience with Jem Appliances was definitely a five star experience. Jason Jacobs could not have been more helpful, pleasant or knowledgable throughout the very long and arduous redo of my small NYC kitchen. He was super easy to work with and flexible from day one during a long and unnecessarily complicated Sie Sematic kitchen renovation.

Worst customer service ever. I needed a GE unit for my condo to replace an older model. My salesperson was Jim, who I believe might have been the owner too?? He placed the order for me and then sent me an email telling me that it wouldn't be delivered until after the July 4th holiday. Then he called me the next day, telling me it was ready. So, due to that miscommunication, I had to scramble almost $1200 together for it to be delivered. It worked for about a week and then the 30 AMP cord blew. I called Jim, who didn't remember me from a hole in the wall, and he had to search for my invoice (I'm in sales--if someone gave me $1200 less than a month ago, you bet I'd remember them. I mean, how many GE units does this guy sell? Can't be that many.). He told me that I would have to call GE directly. I told him that I had tested the cord with my super and that was definitely the issue. He said I still had to call GE. I asked if I could have a replacement in the meantime. He acted like I was an idiot for asking. (If one of my customer's device's cords blew, I would give them a loaner until I could get them a new one, but I guess that's some level of customer service that this place just doesn't offer). I had to take time out of my day to call GE, who then said they could send me a tech in a week. The tech came today, a week later, and confirmed it was the cord. He now has to mail me a new one. It is the hottest day since 2011, this store has $1200 of my money and I have no AC that works. Oh well, if you want that experience, then definitely shop here. I emailed Jim and told him I was unhappy and here was his response: "You are venting at the wrong person. We do not manufacture the products. GE protocol must have a service call for any defective product, Jim.". Wow. Not an "I'm sorry that you purchased a product from my store that was defective" or anything like that. I understand that he is not the manufacturer but I'm pretty sure he made at least something as the GE authorized dealer?? Anyway, thanks for nothing Jem Appliances. Worst store ever.
