I have been a member since RWJ's inception. I cannot begin to tell you the benefits and pleasure it has provided me over the years. RWJ's management has a well run helpful staff and all the members I have come to know are friendly and also supportive. Obviously, when you operate a facility of this size and complexity, sometimes things may need attention. However, management has always addressed the problems quickly and professionally. They also provide plenty of parking for people with disabilities. Anyone else who complains about walking a few hundred feet to go to a gym and workout should probably stay home on the couch! Unfortunately you cannot please everyone.Thank you RWJ.

I would give zero stars if possible and strongly encourage others to look into other nearby aquatic gyms.1. Signed up daughter for 8 swim lessons and the instructor no-showed twice within the first 4 sessions. No calls, no apologies-no contact made from the office until I called to request another teacher. The new teacher sees my daughter twice and then the third session she waits until I arrive to say "sorry I'm sick" and asks someone else to cover the session. Does anyone use calendar reminders? They have my cell phone number and can send a courtesy text? Supposedly the new instructor is a "supervisor".2. The floors of the "family change rooms" are always soaking wet and constantly in use by senior citizens with mobility issues that require upwards of 20+ minutes for changing. The layout of the aquatics center is so poor that seniors use the family change rooms because the regular locker rooms are far and inconveniently placed.3. The crowds: the therapy pool doubles as the teaching pool so you have multiple 70+ elderly trying to do water aerobics with kids learning to swim. People routinely run into each other because there is no scheduled class structure or space.4. The front desk staff: only one person is friendly, the rest will try to avoid eye contact even though I have to physically request one of them to check in a swim lesson on the computer.5. The signage: a sign at the pool says no cell phone usage which is standard and assumed to be no overt phone calls. I was browsing with my head down and was told that was not allowed. Okay, I put the phone away. Another sign also says "no under 16 allowed" but 4 pm onward is full of little kids getting swim lessons. Where is the consistency?Normally I wouldn't complain about such a petty issue regarding signage but the whole place is a ramshackle building falling apart so this is the icing on the cake. I won't be returning here after our paid sessions are used.

Well equipped and well maintained, very friendly and capable staff, especially considerate of seniors who make up a significant share of the members.

Very great gym. Plenty of equipment. All the staff and members are friendly. I especially like working with my trainer Kelly Young. She is so friendly. I would definitely recommend that people choose her for personal training - Alex Gonzalez

The gym itself and employees are fine. But just like so many other places, they make membership an absolute nightmare. They quite simply will not cancel your membership for any reason under any circumstances, and will just keep charging you. I hade to go to my bank to end it. I have no idea why gyms do this, they destroy every relationship they have with customers just to steal one more month from you. This industry is a joke, and this place is as bad as it gets.

Not impressed. The locker room is disorienting. There are zero towels at this gym. No towels for pool or to wipe sweat off. You have to bring your own stuff ?

Robert Wood, Johnson Health and Fitness Center is a place where the muscles come to play. The iron weights clang together like a symphony of steel, while the treadmills hum like a choir of engines. It's a place where the sweat flows like a river, and the grunts of determination fill the air like battle cries. But don't let the serious faces fool you, there's plenty of humor to be found here too. Take the guy who always grunts so loud you'd think he's giving birth to a rhino. Or the lady who spends more time taking selfies than actually working out. And don't even get me started on the guy in the tank top who thinks he's Arnold Schwarzenegger. But all jokes aside, the Robert Wood, Johnson Health and Fitness Center is a great place to get fit and healthy. The equipment is top-notch, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is inspiring. So if you're looking to get in shape and have a few laughs along the way, this is the place to be. Just be sure to bring a towel, because you're gonna need it.

Has been years that I have been going to different gyms. RWJ is the best gymwhich I have ever attended. I used to be a member Pre Covid for many many years. Loved everything.Recently joined the gym back.Anca (Sales Manager) is amazing, very helpful & friendly. I wasn’t sure whether to join the gym back after COVID since got used to working out from home but still missed the environment. Anca inspired me but did not rush. She is a good example of someone who walks the walk and not just talks.

I just joined for almost 69 dollars with my Penn Medicine work ID discount per month and that includes tax. The service fee is 30 bucks, and they waved another fee. In 6 months there's a 40 dollar service fee. Frankly I made an appointment with Anca but was sent to Alan T when I got there who "will take good care of you". He gave me the friendly grand tour and helped me sign the paperwork asking for my health history and medications and primary doctor's info. I hope it's worth it. The facility price includes a fitness coach for 2 sessions, cycling or yoga classes and lots of fitness machines and hot tub, wading pool and swim pool. I'm signing up with my autistic son who needs the hot tub since the Hamilton ymca won't fix theirs since the pandemic started. Wish me luck. The month to month fee with no contract helps me not feel so committed. I can cancel but they need 30 days notice so I better work out as much as possible. I hope I will enjoy years with this clean expansive gym!

This is a public gym but memberships are required. Pros include a large variety of fitness equipment, three pools, large locker rooms with sauna and fitness trainers for hire. Cons include the fitness areas are very noisy and crowded, there is no one available to help with setting up machines, both members and trainers are self absorbed and inconsiderate when machines are busy and/or unavailable. Space for stretching (essential for a safe and effective workout) is simply hard to find at busier times. Lastly, members seem to workout randomly, without supervision or any guidance at all. Consequently, I've observed more than a few exercise efforts that I would consider unsafe or bordering on dangerous. There was no staff member anywhere available to intervene. Membership packages and training packages are moderately priced.

I've been going to this gym for 15 years and the upkeep and service has been declining steadily for a few years. To the point where the front desk rarely greets you when you check in and showers are in disrepair. But my main gripe is the availability of the pool. Either they're doubling up on revenue by taking up lanes with lessons or allowing people to swim all day, it is almost always difficult to get a lane. I use to be very happy here.

This is the best bang for your buck you will ever get!! I’m so spoiled here. I tried taking an Orange Theory Fitness class and was appalled at the lack of individualized, one-on-one attention I got. Don’t waste your money going anywhere else. The fitness classes here are top tier. They feel more like small group fitness classes (which, I’ve paid $300 a month in the past at Moxie for) and sometimes they even feel like personal training sessions. All the instructors there care so much about making you feel comfortable, encouraging you, and showing you good form. I cancelled my membership in 2010 and reinstated it in 2021 with zero problems. No hassles no hidden fees. They almost made too easy to leave. (My Planet fitness membership however, was a nightmare to cancel. Do not recommend.) I started my fitness journey at RWJ in November of 2021 and I’ve come so far!! I can’t say enough things about this gym and all the staff! ?

Once they have stopped Plainsboro one, this became densely populated.Rating is not for the gym or management only but for over all experience.Today hit the gym around 9:00 AM.waited for any of the benches or shoulder press equipment for 28+ minutes.Even if you wait for the bench, one or 2 old lads will feel offended. Those guys might have never been to any crowded gym or never heard of sharing.Gym management were quiet on this. Will give one or more day then will cancel my membership. After seeing the people I can feel its not at all good environment to workout. They should open another center nearby
