My daughter leased a section of stalls from Tara for her equine business. Tara went out of her way to be sure we had everything my daughter needed to make her time there very comfortable. She allowed changes to be made to accommodate her business. The facility was wonderful with big, bright airy stalls, a beautiful property, indoor and viewing room that her clients very much enjoyed. Thank you Tara for making Lucy's business, her clients, myself and our horses always feeling like we were at home.

Tara and her team care deeply about the health and well being of the horses and riders. As a new rider my experience is that she is careful to work on the basics before moving on which builds confidence and always focuses on safety which is key in ensuring riders stay with this wonderful sport. I feel so fortunate to have found Tara and her wonderful barn!

My 11-year-old daughter started riding lessons in the summer and soon joined the Saturday program in autumn. This is a great place for your children to receive a full equestrian education. The owners have been in the business for their whole life and are extremely knowledgeable. My child has a great relationship with both of them and the horses. The animals are well cared for and dear to us.

If you want the best for your horse then this is not the place to go. The owner only cares if you pay and if you question their ability or anything she does she will shame you to everyone else at that barn. Lessons were never lessons. She would be there for 10 mins then walk off. If you want a barn that truly cares about your horse and isn’t about creating Drama then Oxbow is not the place for you.

I moved here almost 6 months ago to expand my training/boarding business. I have had multiple issues since moving here that I have brought to the owner's attention which she has blantly disregarded, including loose horses on the property that run in the barn and the indoor! One of the loose horses even galloped straight into the hind end of my best mare during a lesson! I specialize in Morgan Show horses and various disciplines within the Morgan breed, the owner (Tara) disagreed with the way I train horses even though everything I do is in compliance with the Morgan and USEF rulebooks. Instead of agreeing to disagree she chose to harass myself and my clients. I made the decision to move to a new farm come November, I gave her 60 days notice in September. Since then she has been soliciting all of my clients and trying to convince them to stay with her. She has even gone as far as making defamatory comments to my clients about myself. She has over stepped boundaries more times than I can count and then lies to your face about it and tries to place the blame elsewhere. I would give zero stars if that were an option. Anyone that believes it is morally okay to outwardly solicite another trainer's clients to get ahead is not someone you want to do any kind of business with! We have since moved to the new farm and are so happy to be out of Oxbow. She has called one of my clients since we left and even went as far as calling the farm manager of the new farm to cause problems. Stay far away from this place and this woman, trust me.

If you’re considering participating in anything at oxbow.. boarding, training, shows, leaving your children there to “learn “ ect. get an education first.. visit other facilities and compare ..
