We finished lessons with Leslie from It’s Your Dog. Our dog Jake really came around, at one point all he did was put his teeth on us all the time. When we met with Leslie,she was able to show us different ways to calm him down,we can actually call him our pet now.We knew she was a great trainer from having taken a number of our dogs to her class years ago.We don’t know how to thank her.?

My puppy, Tony, and I really enjoyed our private lessons with Leslie of It’s Your Dog School for Dogs. We learned so much! Thanks to Leslie, I learned how to teach Tony the basics and I also grew in my ability to see the world through his eyes. Puppy development is so fascinating and going through it with such an experienced expert like Leslie makes the whole experience that much more useful and enjoyable. Thank you!

Leslie is a wonderful teacher! My husband and I and our dogs Maddie and Faye learned SO much, and the dogs’ behavior is so much better now! We started training with Zoom sessions (amazing how well they worked!) and finally met Leslie in person for our last session in the series. The dogs learned really quickly; they seemed to enjoy the lessons, too. I highly recommend Leslie and It’s Your Dog!!

Leslie at It’s Your Dog has played a vital role in helping our one year old golden go from wild, overzealous, and dangerous at times, to well-mannered, calm, and obedient. He attended puppy and basic 1 group classes, but he needed some more intense support in our home. We decided to sign up for the Day Training program and Leslie worked with him in our home. She observed his behavior, helped us with management, gave him and us some fantastic skills to work on together, and guided us in seeking medical care for a very subtle pain issue our dog was having. Six weeks after Leslie’s time with us concluded, our dog is pain free, no longer jumps on our kids, humps, or bites. He no longer needs to be kept in the kitchen and has full run of the house. He has fantastic recall, listens to commands from our children, and will go to his crate on command from anywhere in the house. We could not be more pleased with this outcome! We highly recommend Leslie and the Day Training program and we’re so thankful for her impact on our household.

I truly appreciated the support and encouragement I got from Leslie after I adopted a rescue dog, who was bigger and stronger than expected. She trained Joey at my home, I learned so much and Leslie always had solutions to the problems I had. Thanks Leslie!

Writing this review about 10 years later but Leslie trained my dog when she was a puppy for a few months. She was a great, well rounded dog until she passed a year or so ago. I attribute that largely to the training she received.

I recommend It's Your Dog to anyone who wants to learn how to have a well-behaved dog. Leslie gave us the tools and knowledge to understand and correct our dogs' (and our) behaviors. Even our initial phone call before beginning training made a big difference! We have two happy, well-behaved dogs and a much calmer household thanks to training from It's Your Dog.

Leslie at Its Your Dog was so helpful with our reactive goldendoodle Lucy! We learned some valuable skills to ensure Lucy can stay calm when people enter our home. Leslie was patient and kind with Lucy. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for help with their pup.

My husband and I cannot say enough about IT’s Your Dog School for Dogs. Leslie was our two dogs’ wedding nanny and we were so happy with our choice!!! We had asked that our dogs be wiped out for the ceremony, which they were in, and Leslie was able to take them on a LONG nature walk, as well as prep and dress them in advance! She was cordial, accommodating, timely, and personable. Our boy, Nilo, is reactive with unfamiliar men and still he was an ANGEL for the whole ceremony and photo hour under her care. We are so grateful!

We had several scary encounters with larger, off-leash dogs while walking our dog in our neighborhood. As a result, she would bark loudly at every dog she saw. The walks we enjoyed had become difficult for both of us. Since we found the puppy & adult dog training programs at It's Your Dog to be useful, we called Leslie for help. She recommended the "Reactive Rover Rehab" program. This program helped us understand why our dog was behaving this way and helped us to develop strategies to manage it.Thanks to Leslie's expertise and caring, we've seen a big improvement in our dog's reactivity to other dogs. Leslie tailored our training sessions based on our needs. She always made sure we understood the training we covered in our sessions and provided us with both verbal and written feedback. Working with Leslie was an enjoyable experience for us and our dog.

I contacted Leslie because our new rescue pup was reacting negatively to people and dogs and I needed help socializing her. She was lunging and barking at both people and other dogs and I was concerned about walking her by myself or having friends and family visit us at home. After the first session with Leslie there was a noticeable change. After only a couple of weeks we were able to walk her past other people with no reaction and she was getting better about walking past other dogs. After our second session we were able to have a family member stay with us with no problems with our pup. At our third session, we were able to introduce our pup to a potential pet sitter and bring her into our home with no problems! We are so excited about the change in her and it is because of the help we received from Leslie. We are looking forward to continuing with Leslie and teaching our pup to be the best pup she can be! Thank you Leslie!

From day one of our Intro to Leash Reactivity course Leslie took us under her wing and taught us not only about my dogs behaviors but my own as well! We have learned so much as a family in how to work with our dog and will forever be grateful for our new found knowledge! Leslie was great with our dog, Bunni. This instructor knows behavior modification when it comes to dogs. Although the class was short, it taught the doggy basics. Bunni knows how to get to her bed, sit, stay, give paw, Roll over, greet strangers, walk on leash without pulling, and heal.

I took home a Pomeranian puppy who was a complete monster. She was biting myself and my boyfriend and I was concerned I would have to give my puppy back to the breeder. My dad had used Leslie in the past and I signed up for private lessons over zoom with Leslie. Leslie was able to watch and evaluate with Lila over zoom and after 6 lessons, a lot of consistency and hard work my little Lila is now the sweetest and a much more tolerant little girl.
