Firestone in Haledon had the cheapest rates for tires and service, by far. The only problem was that the store I went to seemed severely understaffed. The few that were present were clearly hard-working and courteous to customers, but despite making my appointment at 4pm, I had to wait two and a half hours for a tire change, all the while some customers who parked in AFTER me were serviced before me. While I feel the prices compensated for the wait, I will be reluctant to choose Firestone in the future when there is a speedy and well-staffed crew at Valvoline who will fix me up in less than 30 minutes almost every time. Still, I wouldn't have gotten the tires at Valvoline. If I had only known how long my car's service would be, I would have prepared a ride and left my car for the whole day and make those few boys' workload easier to manage, rather than watching them from afar and wondering why my car hasn't been pulled in yet. That would have made me extremely satisfied with their work

Starting with a simple alignment request, I found myself coerced into purchasing Firestone's lifetime alignment package, courtesy of Wayne Firestone. The initial alignment went smoothly, but the second one turned into a frustrating saga lasting over four hours. Frustrated and pressed for time, I opted to skip the alignment, only to discover later that my front axle suffered damage, possibly due to the neglect.In my attempt to seek a reliable alternative, I turned to Haledon Firestone. However, their overbooking practices led to a two-hour wait, only to be told they couldn't perform the alignment due to a purportedly tight bolt and a bent rear axle. Skeptical, I sought a second opinion from BMW service, which found no issues and efficiently carried out the alignment.Despite holding an unlimited alignment package with Firestone, my third visit proved exasperating. After making an appointment and arriving at the shop, I was told of a four-hour wait or the option to leave the car behind. Frustrated by the unexpected delay, I voiced my discontent, left the premises, and promptly contacted Firestone service to file a complaint. Two weeks later, I'm still waiting for a response from the area manager as promised.Reflecting on my decision to opt for the unlimited alignment plan, I now realize it was a youthful and naive choice. It appears that Firestone's service might be more geared towards those without alternatives or unaware customers. Reading other reviews, I've decided to cut my losses and redirect my business elsewhere for a more reliable and customer-friendly experience.

Poor customer service. No one answered the phone when you call. I would love to do Business in the Town that I live in but I can’t. Very sad. I have no choice but to take my Business somewhere else.

I came on Tuesday 12/26/23 to make an appointment for a wheel alignment to protect the cars new tires. I was given an appointment for 12/28 @ 12pm.I arrived for the appointment as scheduled. The front desk attendant Jose said it will be “a while for the work to be done”. I replied I have appointment for 12, why do I have to wait. He replies There're appointments ahead of you. (Is not what you say is how you say it) for me the customer service is not up to today’s standards. I Shook my head in disappointment and patiently waited for the work to be done.After 2 hours the job was done and I was told that I needed new shocks and adjustment nut (up sale tactics). I respectfully declined and left. I didn’t even drive 1 block, the steering wheel is completely off (75-90 degrees to the right ) on the steering and the car was pulling to the right. The car is unsafe to drive now. (When I brought in the car the steering as straight there was an only slight pull to the right.) after a loud verbal discussion the car was taken in for a 2nd wheel alignment. This time it was successful. I spent a total of 3 and half hours for a wheel alignment. Unacceptable 1⭐️rating

Called to ask how much they would charge to mount and balance 2 tires. After answering some unnecessary questions such as what color my wheels are? I was told they “didnt want to take a chance” because they are afraid of scratching the wheels. As a previous technician myself it is a scary thought that a Firestone Tire shop doesn’t have the ability to change 2 tires. It is mind blowing that you have (very clearly UNQUALIFIED) technicians repairing cars that do not have the ability to mount and balance tires regardless if they are low profile or not. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS IF YOU VALUE YOUR MONEY! I guarantee you’ll be bringing your car back multiple times if you have them “fixing” your car if they cant change a simple tire.

People here are rude and unprofessional. You won't feel welcomed. They have no customer service at all. The ambient is negative. Take your business elsewhere, don't be foolish because the name Firestone.

I left my car at 10:00 am to change the oil and check for a noise in front of my car. At 3:30 pm they called me and told me that I had to change the front shock absorbers for $880, very expensive for a small 2014 car, I told them that the noise was when I moved the steering wheel from one side to the other. They told me that they were going to check it, I arrived at the store at 4:15 pm and they had not checked my car nor had they changed the oil. A full day for those services, it was the third time it has happened to me, they keep the car the entire day, so why do you make an appointment? Additionally, the front seats had grease from the mechanics' hands. I complained to them because they don't use covers to avoid dirtying the seats and they told me they didn't have any. Bad service.

I had a wheel alignment done few months ago. I called prior for an appointment and one of the employees said no appointment was needed just bring the car over. I take it to the place early morning, but the manager said why didn’t I make an appointment. Long story short, the manager is ratchet and doesn’t have basic interaction etiquettes.Also, ever since I got the alignment done my car makes rattling noise, and I know they messed up somewhere. These people are unprofessional as hell. I’d never go back there.

I am going to change the oil in my Haledon vehicle and they do a battery test that is damaged and the test paper they gave me is from two days ago, they ask me to change the Fredi oil and the cabin filter but I changed it ago a month ago what abusers those of halendo Firestone
