What a great store and service. My parents shopped here years ago. You get great service, great products and beyond great pricing. Highly recommend it before buying anything in stores or online. Remnants are great and they bind them too. thank you.

This review is for the Faber Bros. Haledon/Oakland locations. I would have given a (5) star rating except for (1) issue which I will explain. I contacted Faber Bros. based on a recommendation from a former Faber employee named Sam Morales. I visited Faber Bros. in Oakland, NJ and was able to borrow some carpet "samples" for (2) bedrooms which really simplified the purchasing process. Craig Faber came up to the house and took measurements for a small fee which was deducted off the carpet order once it was processed. The actual carpet installation was completed a little over a month after the order was placed. The (2) Faber Bros. employees showed up at the scheduled time, worked quickly, and were polite and professional.The smaller bedroom's old rubber matting came up easily along with the carpet. The larger bedroom had compressed rubber matting that appeared to be too difficult to remove due to old age according to one of the Faber employees. He opted that rather than trying to sand and scrape the old matting, he would leave it, and install the new matting directly over it. I accepted what he had to say. I am not certain if the cost of the carpet installation included sanding and/or scraping the floors, but I am not going to worry about it at this point.The "issue" concerned (2) bi-folding closet doors in my daughter's bedroom. One of the Faber Bros. employees told me that due to the plushness of the new carpet, the bi-folding doors could not be re-installed after they were removed for the installation. He stated that the bottom of the doors would need to be sanded/shaved in order for them to be functional. I was not pleased with this response, but just accepted his word since he stated that he had come across situations like this before.After the job was completed, and the (2) Faber Bros. employees were promptly "tipped" and had left, I decided to install the bi-folding doors myself which I successfully did without having to sand/shave them as had been suggested. Both bi-folding doors open and close and are fully functional. If I was not mechanically inclined this would have been a "real" problem, and I would have had to pay a contractor to re-install them. The Faber Bros. employee was incorrect, and gave the wrong conclusion in assuming that the bi-folding doors would not work once the new carpet was installed.The old carpet remnants were thrown out of a second story bedroom window which was o.k., except the pleated shade should have been first removed so that the window screen could be easily removed without forcing it, and possibly damaging, or twisting it. As a suggestion, consider doing that in your next customer's house, or speak to the homeowner first to see if it is o.k. to do it.I appreciate Faber Bros. "slightly" adjusting the furniture moving fee since I had already removed the majority of furniture myself from the (2) bedrooms saving them the "hassle".The newly installed carpet in both bedrooms turned out great, and is a big improvement over what was there previously. Hopefully, this carpeting will hold up for years to come.

I wrote a detailed review on GOOGLE for the Faber Bros. Haledon location concerning a (2) bedroom carpet installation which can be read. Overall, the carpet installation came out fine, even though the Faber employee was unable to properly remove the old matting in the larger of the (2) bedrooms. The down side is that the (2) bi-folding closet doors in the small bedroom were not re-installed after the Faber employee removed them claiming that they would need to be sanded and/or shaved in order to function properly with the newly installed plush carpeting. Not true!!! I re-installed them myself after the Faber employees left and they work properly. I guess you cannot believe everything people tell you. In addition, before throwing old carpet remnants out of a second story bedroom window, alert the homeowner if it is o.k. to do so. The pleated window shade should have been unsnapped first which it wasn't so that the expensive Pella window screen could be removed easily without bending it. Hopefully, the new carpet in both bedrooms will last for years to come. Only time will tell. Thank you also to Faber Bros. for the "slight" adjustment to the furniture moving fee since I had already removed the majority of furniture out of the bedrooms myself prior to the job starting to save them the "hassle".

An awesome home improvement experience! The best we've ever had! When we bought the house it had new carpet throughout and we decided to replace it and worked with Craig. I did some research to find best carpet for pets. Settled on Mohawk. Took home samples, picked a color and placed an order. When the carpet came in, we scheduled a date. Guys showed up on time, moved furniture out, ripped out old carpet and padding, swept up before installing new padding and carpet, vacuumed and put furniture back while letting me clean woodwork in between! They were really nice and extremely professional. The new carpet is so much nicer and better than what was installed when we purchased the house. Very happy working with Faber and highly recommend! Cats are happy too!

This place is the best. They have sales folks that actually know what they are doing. I didn’t have to hunt for anyone. The salesman allowed me to look around without following me around. When I ordered they really helped me select the best carpet for my space. Someone came to measure and in less than I week everything was done. Great place
