I went in to exchange an unworn gift, tags still attached.. The woman working said she couldn't take it back because it had been a floor sample. Ok, if you sold it once as a floor sample, couldn't it be sold again? I was willing to pay any difference in whatever item I selected. It just seems to me that at a time small local businesses are struggling to compete against big corporate companies they could have done better.

I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to write a review! I love this yarn shop- Danique curates the loveliest yarns and products, Elaine, Winnie, Mieke (sorry if I misspelled!) and the crew are so helpful and there are my go to yarn store. Thank you for the friendships and projects !

This place either needs better training for employees or more people. Sat in line for way too long while the cashier up front helped a lady with her project. I have an elderly family member at home and couldn't leave her too long so I had to leave the line and abandon about 6 skiens of yarn. Bummer. It does suck that this one experience soured my opinion of the shop especially because the employees are so very helpful (to a fault it seems). I was hoping they would take my purchase real quick and then return to helping the lady but that unfortunately did not happen. Perhaps that is their way of doing things but it did sour my experience today.

The owner and staff/instructors are wonderful. I stopped in today in a panic because I dropped a few stitches on a shawl I was making and I couldn’t figure out how to fix it without unknitting almost all they way down. Danique and Geri came to my rescue! Quick fix for the experts. I really appreciate having a local yarn shop to pop into.

The staff let me pull skein after skein to get the right match for an alternate stripe for yarn from my stash. The owner gave reasons pro and con for each and led me to a most beautiful choice.

Hooked is a great store. The yarn selection is always fabulous. I walk into the store and am suddenly like a kid in a candy shop: everything looks so good, I want it. Everyone I have spoken to there has been friendly and extremely knowledgeable. They always take the time to help you out. They are all willing to answer questions concerning anything yarn related or other questions about patterns, knitting needles, crochet hooks, and other supplies or items. You are treated like a welcomed member of the crafting family as soon as you walk into the store. All this to say Hooked is a wonderful store full of exceptional stock and peopled with those to whom it is always a pleasure to talk.

Have not been in in a while as I am mostly a sewing crafter but this shop has been a great source of fun gifts for the people that knit or crochet in my life. Staff is super helpful and even helped me stay within my holiday shopping budget when I was frantically looking for a gift.

Hooked was recommended by a friend for crochet lessons. Winni was great. I have been buying yarn there ever since. I needed more specific yarn to complete a project so I ordered more a month ago only to discover today that the ordered was just placed. I have been in the shop and spoken to different employees but was never told until today that the order had never been placed. I love to support local businesses but Hooked will not be one of those. Bad customer service.

This is such a beautiful store with high quality supplies. I took a beginners crochet class instructed by Winnie and she was so knowledgeable and patient with us newbies. You can tell the staff loves the art of knitting and crocheting and truly wants to help you create a treasure.
