I went to the Walgreens at 123 Anderson St. Hackensack, NJ 07601, to send a package via FedEx. Mr. Wilson refused to accept my package. He said it was too heavy. I asked him what the weight limit was. He stated that when he picks up a package and he determines that it is "too heavy", then it is too heavy. I explained that he never even picked up my package. He said "too bad." Again, I asked what the weight limit was and then he said 40 pounds. I explained that my package was not even half of that. He said "too bad." Then he said that he would not accept the package because it was "too big." I asked what the height and width limits were. He said it was whatever he wants them to be. At that point, I realized that I was being discriminated against because I am Caucasian and Mr. Wilson is African American. I then asked Mr. Wilson for his name since I did not know it at that point. He stated, "Why, are you going to call corporate, cracker?" I told him that was exactly what I was going to do because of his unprofessional and racist behavior. I then took my package to the Walgreens at 520 Cedar Lane, Teaneck, NJ 07666, to see if what Mr. Wilson said about the package being too heavy and too big was true or not. The gentleman at the Walgreens in Teaneck accepted my package and scanned it in. He never said anything about it being too heavy and/or too big because it was not. That proves that Mr. Wilson was lying simply because the color of my skin. Mr. Wilson should not be in his position since he has racist attitudes.

This shop has barely a sign to be seen above the low slung building, and the parking lot was partially under construction in this strip mall. Single staffer was fine as I was dropping off a Fedex package, but another one gave me a weird look as I took a photo inside and walked out (for this review, mind you). Overall I've been in newer shops and ones that were designed with perhaps higher ceilings and more vibrant feel.. this one had a feeling of being from the 80s.

The worst pharmacy/store I have ever shopped at. The pharmacist has yelled at me and has hung on me in mid sentence. They cancel orders because they can't find your prescription. After 10 years of their abuse I have changed pharmacy's.I've never been treated like this at any other store or business.

Sparse shelves, pharmacy always understaffed, and a long wait is always the norm. Staff looks like they are very overworked, with few customers coming in. The area itself is undergoing a lot of construction, new high-rises are being built all around. I hope this translates into more staff, and more attention to the store. Right now, it looks like they are in transition. Patronize at your own risk

I began using this Walgreens location at the beginning of the pandemic. I had been using a Duane Reade that was convenient on my commute to work. When we began working from home, the staff at Duane Reade said I could fill my prescriptions through any Walgreens and this was the closest location to my home. Initially, I found the pharmacy service unremarkable, neither good nor bad. Recently, I have had real issues with the service. A few weeks ago I received a couple of automated calls saying my prescription was delayed. I wanted to speak with a pharmacist to discuss options, as I would soon run out of medication. I called on two consecutive days and both days was on hold for an hour before I hung up. On the third day, I hung up after being on hold for two hours. When I went into the pharmacy to ask why they did not answer their phones, the pharmacist said they did not have staff to answer calls (bear in mind that while I was on hold I heard the continuous recording that they would answer my call soon and nothing about the fact that the staff does not answer the phone). When I said their manager should hire more staff, the pharmacist said they did not have a pharmacy manager! I called the Walgreens Customer Care line to discuss this. I was given a case number and told someone from the corporate office would call me. That was about two weeks ago and I am still waiting. I am in the process of transferring my prescriptions from Walgreens!

This used to be a Rite Aid and the recently changed to Walgreens. With that change came a price hike for most items. I still however come to this location because the pharmacists are really nice and helpful. Honestly, if not for the pharmacy I definitely would not even come to this store at all. The stars are for the pharmacy only. Since the change I only come here for prescriptions and drive to the Rite Aid across town for any other purchases. Made the mistake of purchasing an item that was extremely overpriced today only to find out I could buy the exact same item at Target, Walmart or Rite Aid for literally half the price. I don't like to be ripped off and that's what shopping here feels like to me. Lesson learned.

Conveniently located at the checkout counter inside the Rite Aid on Anderson Street by the RR tracks.
