Updating this store, finally! A lot more appealing. Well stocked and cleaner than it used to be. I tried to find what I was looking for on the app, but it doesn't tell you what isle to find the products. This is ridiculous, in this day and age! Was sent to the wrong isle twice by asking an employee, once I was able to find one to ask.

The selection of food is fine here. Produce could be fresher most of the time. I’ve found some items are cheaper at stop & shop which is shocking. My biggest complaint is: WHY IS THE CHECKOUT AREA SO HOT?? Yes it is hot out today but every time I go there, it feels like there is absolutely no air circulation in that area. I feel bad for the employees that have to work there. By the time I get through the checkout process, my frozen items are sweating and melting all over the place. Even certain aisles of the store feel suddenly hot as you’re walking through. Do they have the heat on for some reason???

Crazy working here :/ Customers are nice (most of the time) My hours are good , Pay is ehhh and coworkers are awesome ! Wouldn’t recommend applying to work if looking for a job ; Have both Part time and Full time Shifts in every department from Deli to Cashier

Had mold on bread. Showed photo to office and bring the bread in and we'll give you credit. Are you kidding me? I'm going to bring in mold bread to get reimbursed lol. The 1.99 ? Will not break me, I just wanted to point it out and she could have said take another one. Just saying that would've been in good taste for SR to do that . Have a good day

Not terribly impressed with this particular Shop Rite. Produce section is...ok. Selection on shelves has improved. Cleanliness has also improved. Hard to find staff in the floor. I honestly drive past this store to go to a different Shop Rite most of the time.

This place really needs better quality control. We’ve gone here many times and have had issues with almost purchasing items that have expired. Today I went and the amount of expired and moldy food still on the shelves was shocking. I’m not talking about food that is a day or two past the expiration date - I’m talking weeks. I picked up a bag of lemons that were completely rotted. After that, I didn’t realize that I picked out a very moldy jar of sauce - I realized it once I was at the self check out. The inside top of the glass jar was completely green and black with mold. The cashier was horrified and he apologized. This store better shape up before someone becomes seriously ill!

So I work in Hackensack and this location I find it convenient for whatever I might need groceries at the time I came here today after work to place a pull a part cupcake order for my kindergarten daughters birthday at school and was told that each cupcake is $2 and I was extras shocked because every year I purchase cupcakes for my kids school and as I was shocked, I told the lady at the bakery that that was crazy and her reply was that she doesn’t make the prices let alone on my way home, stop by at the Kearny ShopRite where I go every year and I literally paid 4499 for 30 pull apart cupcakes and this lady had quoted me $120 without the design !!!!! I now know where not to place a cup cake order for my children sucks because I have to make an extra stop at another location when I have the one right next to my job

The manager Benjamin is terrible! He is unreasonable untalented just follows orders like a robot, doesn't respect anyone who disagrees with him. He needs more training especially being humble and understanding. He is absolutely ridiculous! Next manager please! I will never go back to this store!

Convenient location. Always has great prices and rarely are out of stock on sale items. Could be a little cleaner at times. UPDATE - Rinse, wash, repeat. No changes worth noting...
