My family and i will be switching our pharmacies from now on. One of my family members works for HUMC and we are required to go through them for insurance reasons. We will be calling the insurance company on monday morning. My mother went today to pick up about 3 prescriptions that her doctor had called/faxed in. After waiting for a half an hour on line, they could not find her prescription.On top of being told yesterday that she had to wait for a BREATHING TREATMENT because they didn't have it in stock... seriously? She has bronchitis on top of being asthmatic. THIS PHARMACY TECHNICIAN TELLS HER TO GET OFF THE LINE BECAUSE SHES HOLD IT UP. are you kidding me?!?! Then, they kept looking in the same spot for her script, ONLY FOR IT TO HAVE BEEN FILLED UNDER SOMEONE ELSES NAME! they did this about three weeks ago when i went to pick up one of her scripts. The pharmacy manager better implement some kind of organization system before they kill someone. they're lucky i know all the medications my mother is on and I'm smart enough to google what that said prescription looks like. We shouldn't have to worry if we are taking someone else medication. We will be calling the pharmacy manager, the department of patient care, and possibly the health department because they WILL kill someone.
