Martino's Grocery is an incredible, old school corner store and little restaurant that gives a little piece of Italy. It is a blast from the past and a piece of local history, with a nostalgic, low key, and relaxing atmosphere often filled with Italian music and vociferous Italian voices. This is not just lunch; it is an experience and a destination spot. The amazing Italian family food is home cooked by the family, including an 85 year-old grandma, with passion and love. The menu changes daily and features all the favorites from the old country: soups, fresh baked bread, ravioli, chicken, meatballs, sausage, pastas, fabulous veggie options, and desserts like canolis and homemade cookies. A buffet or various options for $20 is outstanding. Many say it is the best Italian food they have ever tasted, just like grandma's, and they will pack up containers to take home. The people are very nice and welcoming. It is a rare find, a hidden gem for foodies, and a place to visit while you can.

An awesome old school corner store in Hackensack that gives a little piece of Italy. Very welcoming and buffet for 20 is outstanding. The food was awesome, I had two meatballs, Salad and two big bowls of an awesome pasta e Fagioli. Store is nostalgic. Next time I'm home going back
