Horrible place! Took almost a month to get an MRI scheduled after numerous phone calls. I have yet to start treatment even though everything has been approved by the insurance. I was scheduled to start treatment November 7, the day before bloodwork was done and 2 hours before PICC was supposed to done I received a call that their was a delay in medication and all was cancelled. I was given another date of Nov 13. All was scheduled, room was booked and again I get a call cancelling my treatment because my dosage/medication was given to someone else. In addition, I don’t understand if someone is away on vacation why their voicemail doesn’t reflect such. Very unprofessional and disappointed in this place. I’ve begun to look elsewhere . I don’t feel valued or the compassion here.

My wife had the best surgeon possible for her type of Cancer. She also had the best Oncologist to prescribe the right Chemo drugs. You couldn't get better Cancer treatment in NYC. John Theurer is one of the best cancer centers in the country! They brought in top doctors from all over the country!

Inez M in Security is a wonderful human being. Being at a hospital is never a pleasant experience, but she really attempted to help me. My mom was in the hospital for a few weeks and the battery in her car died as I was trying to pick it up. She tried to help me get it started. Even though we were unsuccessful, she made a terrible situation a little better and showed kindness when she could have ignored my problem. For that I say thank you Inez.

Unprofessional tactics by providers. No consideration for other providers not in the Hackenack network. Always try to divert all patient care to their own centers. Highly unprofessional

Security guard today September 4 he was harassing everyone today, ths is a cancer center, have some respect to patients this guy should be in a parking lot not dealing with patients, has attitude and non-social behavior as dealing with "patients". And don't touch people thank you.
As cancer center they should have a front desk service professional.

My husband has been getting treated here since November. From Day 1 they told us what to expect and have been extremely helpful. From the front desk, the lab, reception desk, the pharmacy, billing, nurses, doctors, infusion staff, support staff and volunteers, they have been amazing and so supportive to our needs. Very organized, and constantly available for questions. I have called on weekends, holidays and evenings and every single time have gotten the help that we needed. They have made this difficult journey as easy as possible for us. Don’t know what we would do without each and every one of them.

The doctors and nurses are lovely, as well as the front desk staff when you first walk in.
My father has been a patient here for 7 years now, thanks to the staff here we have received support and kindness with my dad’s health.
However, over the last month there have been multiple inexcusable mistakes with scheduling. This reflects upon the supervisors and the training given to employees. There seems to be no rules on cell phone usage, the young workers at the front desk on the 4th floor are glued to their phone screens.
Moreover, we have a 25 minute commute to this cancer center. Twice we have arrived to find out our appointment was cancelled. Meanwhile, the time slot is still visible on the patient portal. To make a sick patient come all that way, TWICE, is unacceptable. All could have been avoided with a simple phone call.
While the doctors and nurses that studied hard to be where they are have done a fantastic job, the receptionists and employees responsible for scheduling have either not been trained properly or are being guided by inefficient leaders. The behavior of employees is always a reflection of management, and there has been a serious issue in the last month.

I'll leave a thorough review once we get my dad out of there, if he lives to see that moment. Absolutely disgusting experience here.

I had an infuson and during that proces I did notice nurse did "flush" wrong way. Planty of valieble, expencive medicine was left in the line and I got all flush liquid injected.
I did have that infusion done several times elsware and I have pretty good idea how it should be done. In addition it took them 7 hours to do that treatment because as nurse explained "they don't have what is needed at the moment"
I had done that infusion elsware in 2 hours.
When comes to nurses difficuld to talk to and Dr. Pecora head nurse who handled me her busines card with number and permision to call her if any questions she did not bother to return my call back not even once and I did call several times, I was leaving message, request to call me back. Customer service reps ware texting her too in my behalf. No call back not even once.
Then billing!!! Beware there is something they will not tell you.
I was very specific "is this doctor in the network?, what is it gonna cost me?" $10 copayment and two months after infusion I am getting bill by mail close to $2k. Did new patient addmitance personel mention anything about the cost I will have to pay? No, they will not tell you that. I was not avare off that. If I knew I would go to other clinic where I pay $10 a visit.
Yesterday Apr. 23 I got mail saing I have 10 days to make paymenty or they will refer this debt to outside agency. Letter dated Apr. 17. 2024
On Apr. 24th I did call to make a payment plan and Mrs Hellen customer service rep. told me " you can no longer do the payment plan" Your account has been refered to collection agency YESTERDAY" Today is Apr. 25th They did that too early so what was the purpose of that mail?
4 years ago I had some test done and as I was taught I made sure my health insurance will cover the bill. Months later I am getting bill $300+ to pay. I call and ask why since I was clearly told by stuff that my cost will be $10 copaymment and that is it. Gues what they told me that the doctor who did interpretate the test results is not in the network and the one from my insurannce network was not there that day. Hehe thats the way to get some more money from patients, no mether with or without insurance.
Considering all my bad experience I cant recomend this place and I will not go there again ever.

Dr. Linder, Dr. McCloskey ,Dr. Koprivnikar, the entire oncology team and the infusion staff greeted me with a smile each day and kept my spirits up. Their kindness and compassion was appreciated. I couldn't imagine taking this journey without them being their to support me. I just want to thank each and everyone who took care of me and made sure I was doing well this also includes my social worker Michael Malloy, who was there when I needed to talk or to let me know what I was entitled to and let me not forget the receptionists who knew my name and was the first smiling face I saw everyday.
You guys are truly amazing.
