The manager at this location is absolutely incredible. Admittedly, I made an error when I made my reservation and had an incorrect drop off location. Firstly, they contacted me about the issue, So it could be addressed. The manager was able to help me. They truly care about their customers. Thank you very much to this location and their staff.

had reservation confirmation email. showed up on time. was told no vehicle available and i should have called to check. no alternatives suggested except something 'might' be available tomorrow. nothing in correspondence said to call prior. multiple emails from hertz making sure i was ready, evidently, that doesn't pertain to the location. i have rented from other locations and all have contacted prior to pick up reservation to inform of vehicles not available. attitude was indifferent to offering solution and kept saying 'should have called first' - why would i call first when other locations contacted me to say they didn't have a vehicle? or why would i call when all correspondence confirmed everything?

WORST CAR RENTAL IN WORLD, Irecently had an incredibly frustrating experience with Hertz Car Rental that left me feeling utterly disappointed and dissatisfied with their services. It all began when I rented a car from Hertz for a week trip with my family. "BRYANT" before i got the rental vehicle he had to put air in one of the tires then on the same day at night l encountered a flat tire.
The following day I called "BRYANT" and explained the situation he told , I should have called him, at 11:00 Pm really???, they close at 6pm
However, the real nightmare started when we returned the car to the rental location.
To my surprise and dismay, I was informed by the "BRYANT" that I would be responsible for covering the cost of the flat tire repair. Despite my protests and attempts to explain the situation, BRYANT remained firm in their decision and insisted that I pay for the repair.
Feeling frustrated and taken advantage of, I reached out to Hertz's customer service department to seek assistance and clarification. However, my attempts to resolve the issue were met with nothing but a runaround. The customer service representatives were unhelpful, indifferent, and showed no empathy towards my situation. They simply reiterated the rental policy and failed to address my concerns adequately.
Days turned into weeks, and despite my repeated efforts to reach a resolution, Hertz continued to ignore my requests for a refund for the flat tire repair charges. The lack of transparency, accountability, and empathy displayed by Hertz throughout this ordeal left me feeling utterly let down and disheartened.
In the end, not only did I have to bear the unexpected expense of the flat tire repair, but I also had to endure the frustration of dealing with a company that showed a blatant disregard for customer satisfaction and loyalty. My experience with Hertz Car Rental has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I strongly advise others to think twice before entrusting their business to a company that values profits over customer care. ESPECIALLY HERTZ of HACKENSACK, WORST rental Car Ever. If i can give below 1star i would but 1 start is the lowest i can give.

This review is for the Hertz location in Hackensack. I booked a vehicle for same day around 3 hours before picking it up. I show up at 5 pm and the guy at the desk tells me they don't have any vehicles available for same day and that I should come in tomorrow. Fair enough.
I show up the next day at 12 noon and the same guy tells me that they don't have any vehicles. He said I should "have modified my reservation to have it be for the next day". I was NEVER told that I should modify the reservation and now they marked me as a "no show" and charged me $30 for a no show fee. Absolutely ridiculous.

I will never even go to the place again or any hertz .i was there about a month to rent for two weeks and the know what my insurance allows and the give over price car . And the next day when I brought the car back the change the story and the we try to give me car with the insurance allows. I dined and the over charged me for a full day even I bring the car back at 10 am . How crooked the are I just received a statement for i change off toll that I never use for $12.99.the charge my bank with out let me know or explain to me .and I had to stop my personal card for weak because I did not know we’re the charge was coming from . Shame on you Hertz and special for this people running hertz in .nj

The Uber Rental system absolutely sucks, BUT this location will try their best to get you a car!
A reservation on the Uber Driver App DOES NOT mean there’s a car available. Call them beforehand to confirm availability. If there’s no car, let them take your name and number so they can call you back when one shows up. Then you make the reservation before you go pick up.
Did this today and picked up an EV6 for Uber same day. They were very friendly & professional. Thank you for a great service.

There is a reservation and when you go to look for the car they do not have it in stock and you call and they do not take the call, poor customer service.

prices are pretty cool across the board, quick easy on checking out car. I disagree with the additional fees on contract for late drop off, with a call in advance and legitimate reason, the still charge a fee, MONEY GRAB !!
